  1. I assume it's because the camera operator is walking the opposite direction to everyone else.
  2. I voted already, it's crazy to me that more people don't postal vote, it's so much more convenient.
  3. Do we even know what team farage pretends to support?
  4. Pretty sure scotland, Wales, england and ni all have white on their flags. A labour candidate can't be seen wearing blue in the lead up to a ge, just like tory prime ministers shouldn't stand next to exit signs or mickey mouse ears.
  5. Not much talk of our local representatives, I get it's starmer vs sunak, but in soton test, the difference in quality between con and lab candidates is crazy, I can't imagine how anyone could vote for the con candidate ahead of labour here. And that's reflected in the odds [lab 1-40]. And reform have no chance here. How much of the decision is who we want representing us in the commons, and the local campaigns? Because ever since johnson purged all brexit critics from the Tories, the quality of conservative candidates has plummeted.
  6. I really like it, but why no images of the back? Anyone know what the back looks like?
  7. I think the tories have become an irrelevance in the campaign now. ITV on the full attack on Labour now, hardly mentioning sunak at all, slight mention of farage. I think the media are assuming the race is over and so are focusing on challenging who they see as the next govt. Which seems against purdah, but that's been ignored so far I think. It seemed to switch after the sky debate.
  8. I assume most, if not all of us, would agree that we'd rather be nuked than nuke someone else. Given that, it just doesn't act as a deterrent...
  9. What's your reason to disbelieve the data? (Is it your feelings?)
  10. Apart from anything else the 2000 lie is just disingenuous in its lack of clarity. £2000 per household, over 4 years, is only £20 a month for me. £2000 in total is only 0.003p per person. It would take over a thousand years before it would cost me a penny. £2000 per year, per person, which is what they want you to think, is a very different thing...
  11. I was thinking john major era, but probably trump was the pioneer of not caring about the consequences of lying, or trying to hide it. Johnson and truss were the same. I thought may, starmer, and sunak had more integrity, but sunak disappointed me in the debate and subsequently.
  12. I remember when outright lies were looked on poorly by the general public, now it seems not to matter. Shame on sunak, I thought he was one of the tories with some integrity. By the way that £2000 works out as 40 quid a month. I'd actually happily volunteer to pay that if it is spent on public services, its a bargain. I would have expected a much higher cost to start sorting out the mess they've made.
  13. Coincidentally, yes. I've got a heavy cold so have been wearing a mask to stop me spitting germs onto the fruit and veg. But normally, no, I don't - because the vaccines helped us get through the worst of the pandemic.
  14. Except they seemed pretty pally a month ago... https://www.threads.net/@david_collyer_photographer/post/C6xyVrXoZRM
  15. Hard to imagine that girl is anything other than a paid extra, or a reform plant surely? Occam's razor and all that. Hard to imagine any other motive for it, it's the right's version of Ed davey falling in the sea.
  16. I think the reptilians are harmless, and no issue with higher dimensional struggles. It's the anti vax and covid conspiracies that are more dangerous, and unfortunately those are the ones mlt is creaming his pants over.
  17. Didn't our rishi boast about how he was siphoning money away from areas like southampton and into Tunbridge Wells? Where was his community spirit then?
  18. With the warning to get canned food in the cupboards, calling up all 18yr olds to national service, and the declaration that every aspect of british life will change over the next 5 years as we enter a dangerous era, is anyone asking why sunak seems to be putting us on a war footing? Wondering if he knows something, or other he is fear mongering ahead of a ge...
  19. He's just found out rwanda flights won't be anytime soon, and not by the ge deadline, and he is scared of how that impacts the reform vote. So he is panicking and getting the election in whilst he can still pretend it would happen, and lose fewer reform votes. It's a desperate last play by a dying government.
  20. Really? We have data proving he failed an eye test? Even if he did, can it not be corrected by contact lenses? This is massive news, he could be the first visually impaired goalkeeper to play at the top level and an inspiration for disabled fans across the world. My respect for him has doubled hearing this shocking news.
  21. If we're promoted, baz. If not, we'll probably lose him and need to replace, probably from lower down the league.
  22. Are you sure he didn't? Sometimes you have to read *between* the lines.
  23. Leeds look like a shit version of us, very pedestrian and fortunate that gunn is being so charitable. We're going to walk this, get ready for a miserable season next year...
  24. Worst gk performance since Bruce grobbelar?
  25. 400 out of 500,710 employees working in edi is hardly that concerning. I did find it interesting that she considers lgbt support to be a purely political cause. Is she implying that conservatives can't support lgbt rights?
