  1. I would imagine he already has something lined up. He will take the whole back room team and we'll be back to square one, as well as making our players vunerable, always the perfect time to leave when a manager does.
  2. You're right; this forum should only be dealing with facts!
  3. a few months ago there is no way he would have just waited during that second half to change something. I appreciate that he does not have a deluge of options from the bench, Ramirez coming on, fine, but it wasnt working and yes, Sam Gallagher, very raw, but even he would have offered more pace and willing than Lambert. But it took, what 25/30 minutes to recognise that. And he chages a ball winning midfielder for a ball winning (but poor passing) midfield, WTF! Does anybody really believe that he is going to stay? Its quite clear that the NC departure has knocked him, to be fair, he saw enough sense to stay to the end of the season, but if I was in charge, I think I'd ask him straight, and if he was planning to go in the summer, well get rid now and get someone in to work with the players while we have nothing to win or lose. For the record, I would be very hap[py if he was staying, think he's been a rwevolution in English football let alone here, and I believe he will go onto bigger things, just not with us.
  4. Following on from another thread, it has become quite apparent to some, not all, but some that MP is definately off in the summer. He a look of faraway places and seems to have lost a desire and passion. Earlier in the season he would have made changes sooner to try and win the Liverpool game; however he just seemed to be going through the motions on Saturday. So, if he does up and leave in the summer, who do we want in? I'd be happy to see Laudraup here personally, the right football with more resources and he looks like the typre that could continue our substained youth policy. Or Benitez if he wanted a way back to the EPL, a bit more old school but tactically an astute manager who gets the best out of the players he has. I'll put my hard hat on now!
  5. spose you thought it was complete nonsense about Adkins demeanour after we beat Coventry, he had the look of man who knew he wouldnt be around much longer, but that would have been complete nonsence. You really think MP is happy here, he stil;l doesnt even speak English to the press FFS! He is was staying he would have come round on the language issue by now. Throwing the Sunderland match, that was the sign of a manager who wanted to win something for the club?
  6. I think he shows the signs of someone 'going through the motions', basically the last few weeks at work whereby you know you have to be there, but cant really be arsed to do anything spectacular. He is definately on the touch line less, his post match interviews are stale and his sense of urgency in respect of getting subs on to change a game that we were never going to score in (with Lambert up front) the second half. There is absolutely no way he is going to be here next season (unless NC comes back) and I thinks that is reflected now.
  7. i had the same thing in Portugal years ago, didnt pay etc. and finally went back, expecting to be arrested on arrival leaving the wife and kids at the airport. But it was fine, though i reckon if you got pulled over by the local police it might pop up then, but not on your passport.
  8. that season, 89/90 was probably the best ever, should have finished 3rd, but lost away twice in the last two games in North london, shame, we deserved a lot that year. think Matty got around 25 goals and Rodney got similar. And we had Donny and his free kicks! Charlton away at Selhurst!
  9. remember that night, we got jumped afterwards on the other side of the Trent Bridge. But we got our revenge and found the bastards. then put a brick through their front window!
  10. get an electric boiler. That will supply your tank and give you a decent flow rate.
  11. Despite all the great games that we have own, I still would rate this as the best (even better than the 6-3), we absolutely caned them, and back then they were pretty much the best team in Europe. Nicholl's era is such a great memory, the first time that I followed Saints properly, some great days and we always had a chance. Great players too, the Wallace's, MLT, Ruddock, Donny and Timmy, happy days!
  12. Lol. Your sheets must be soaked!

Personally I would recommend Bottle Beach in Koh Phangan. Went I went (back in 2000), you could only get a boat, there is a trek through the hills but a long way with a backpack. Three different type of accommodation suiting your budget. flight were cheap and easy to book on Khoa San Road, but maybe the net is better now. finally, three weeks! Are you for real, you'll never do it! If you do get to Hanoi then the war museum is an absolute must, or was it in Saigon? Soi Cowboy in Bangkok is more real than Patpong. Phnom Penh was a great city, vey untouched but probably different now. south East Asia - there is nowhere better!
  14. so that would have left us with micky Fialka?
  15. One person to take out of history which would change a course for Saints. for me, Andy Richie. Without him we may have won something in the 90's
  16. sure its probably somewhere else (so apologies to the 'thread police'), but did she go to Sunderland? If she didnt, then why not? Couldnt be arsed (she is in the country) because she doesnt like football? Couldnt be arsed because it was Sunderland (would have gone to The Emirates perhaps)? I would have thought that if she was going to make a go of running the club, then she would have gone. Her non appearance (if so) would suggest to me that she is not interested and wants out.
  17. Do you think that Pardew would have been sacked if Markus had still been around?
  18. Really?
  19. CONFIRMED ON SSN, HE'S STAYING
  20. Loathed by a few...... Maybe you are joking, or maybe you are one of her apologists or maybe.... I think people on here are right about you. You don't live in the real world and just seem to be another Turkish, lol, sad and lonely, bless.
  21. Well my mate that sits next to me in the Itchen said that the big fella who looks after the players at Saints (you know the one, been there for years, also collects the balls sometimes), well he taking some latin looking guy up the stairs to watch the game (thst part is fact, the rest gets assumingly unpredictable). After seeing this thread, it seemed quite obvious that this was the guy he saw..... until I saw the Dubai picture, so maybe it was Ronaldo?
  22. He was at St marys on Saturday I believe
  23. you dont give it up do you?
  24. thanks a lot st Davey I was hoping you were still around, appreciate the info. I will take your advice. What about changing money, better over there ?
  25. I think the back end of last season wasmt so great, it was a bigger test seeing how we started, in fact, the first few games werent exactly explosive. Why do things have to change? That wouldnt suit your agenda would it? You could see how you hated it when we were doing well, kept patronising people about CL quotes etc. and waited, biding your time, knowing that you may get another bite of negativity. And so you have now the opportunity, though you must be worried about our forthcoming fixtures, what if we win most of them? We're a long way off top 4, some way off top 6, but realistically, we have seen recently what we need to achieve to get into the top 8 consistently. I think for a team emphasing on home bred talent, playing 4 regular players from our Div 1 days, we have come a long way, far from a finished article, but say we finish top half this season, the real test is how consistent we are next, the only club to do have done that outside the so called top 6 (4 + Liverpool, Spurs) has been Everton, and you cannot say that they have a squad or international superstars. they have proved over the last few years that they can consistently finish in the top 7/8, and now thay may well be kicking on. We have players like Shaw, JWP and Chambers coming through, playing first team football at eighteen years old, FFS, how good do you think we might be in a few years if we keep the players and keep some stability at the club. Decent coaches like MP need to be assured that there is a long term plan here, not feel under presure not to lose three in a row. Read fergie's book, the underlying theme weas that there would be hard times whilst transitional periods took effect, and surely taht is where we are at presently. But all you want to do is say, well, "if he doesnt win the next few games, then he should go...." You have to ask two questions; Is MP a good coach, has he proved it on the pitch? Have we got good enough players for the PL? Now and in the future? I think the answer to both is yes, but all in time.
