That's pretty impressive. Bearing in mind the Euro didn't start circulation as physical currency in Spain until 2002.

Begging a bird to take you back after you've been dumped

Not is "real" life, but I had the unfortunate luck to view his Yahoo profile a few years back when he was sporting his "Essex Boy racer" haircut. Innit, bruv. -
Tuppence ha'penny.

FFS Turkish, just tell Stu you think he could do better with you, slip him some Rohypnol and show him a good time. If I'm wide of the mark, then don't you think it's a tad unhealthy to have such an interest in your mates love life? Maybe with all the baiting of him you are trying to cover up the fact you are jealous of his carefree life whilst you are stuck in a sexless relationship yourself? Jus' saying.... -
Thank you NC for finding some proper funding for the club and saving us.

Yeah, I jut re-read my thread I started that day on another forum, I started by saying there were reports of more than 1 power surge on the Underground. What an odd thing for the media to put out.
-
Five years ago. I'm sure loads on here were in London that day, I know SNSUN was working on the Underground that day (out at Heathrow, luckily). I was working in Southwark, got to work really early for some reason (meeting I think) and took my usual walk avoiding public transport so didnt know of anything until I was safely in the office.

Or, never actually under threat at all as all decisions needed to be ratified by the Trust anyway so all it was was a load of d-list slebs on twitter wetting themselves and following the trend?

A lot of good points have been made on the Main Board by posters who are considered 'against the grain' (19C, Alpine, Stu, dune, TDD, LGTC, Wiltshire...) but no-one notices as they are usually blinded by their 'hatred' of the poster. I have, for a long time, been of the opinion that you should read the post and not the author. Unfortunately even I cannot stick to that doctrine, and that is one of the reasons I left as a Mod. I have also be guilty of the opposite version; where a post has ****ed me off so much I felt like complaining/ranting/reporting but talked myself out of it as it was a poster I 'liked'. What to do though?

I honestly couldn't say as Im not part of the Administration team any longer, but in theory as long as he has already had a temporary ban for 10 points, his number is up next time he hits 10 points.
-
In the rules: Accumulation of 10 unexpired points will result in an automatic two-week suspension. Members who have been subject to this two-week suspension who subsequently accumulate a further 10 points will receive a permanent ban. Plus there was an amnesty of user names when we came across from TSF to SWF. IIRC "Stanley" was banned for 10 points and came back (as you are alowed to) and asked for a name change. I might be wrong. Im sure Steve, Baj and the lads do a very very thorough job of checking infractions, bans, user name changes, re-registrations and the like; so someone like Dune (especially) is unlikely to have got away with anything. Edit. PS. This is all from Pancake the poster, not Pancake the ex-Mod. The link between Stanley and dune was well known and published before I stated it!
-
Every user has a second chance after a first banning. And trust me, every user is dealt with the same why by the Admin and Mod team. There are enough of them that if there is a bias one way, it naturally sorts itself out.

Its times like this ^^ that I wish i still had access to Baj's special area.

Blatter's Sorry - Get Ready For Goal line Technology
Pancake replied to Gemmel's topic in General Sports
And BANG you have shot dead any chance of any team ever scoring "on the break" as very time a ball is kicked anywhere near the goal line the ref will have the blow up and check a TV screen. In the Mendes example, Man Utd got the ball off Crroll and formed an attack at the Spurs goal within seconds. Not sure where you are going with the cheating line? No-one on this thread that is opposed to video technology on the GOAL LINE (after all, that is the title of the thread) has mentioned about condoning cheating. And how can "we" be affriad of a change when we are suggesting a perfectly acceptable 'change' that would still allow the natural flow of the fast paced modern game? -
Blatter's Sorry - Get Ready For Goal line Technology
Pancake replied to Gemmel's topic in General Sports
As has been pointed out on here, other sports that utilise a video/CGI replay system use it when the ball is out of play and play has been stopped. Take the examples linked to on Youtube above when Mendes 'scored' against Man Utd. The ball was over but Carroll collected it and bowled it out back in to play. Should the ref blow up and stop play there? But what i the team now in control of the ball are forming an attack on goal, should the ref stop play just so he can see a replay? Comparing football to start/stop games like tennis, cricket and even rugby isnt right. In all of those there is a nature break in play as part of the game when a video replay could be used. A simple chip in the ball and the goal line that would alert the officials is the easier and most elegant solution. As soon as the ball is over the line, a buz or beep is heard in the officials ear pieces. If the ball was active when it crossed the line (ie, the whistle hadn't already gone for any reason) then the ref can blow up without fear of incorrectly stopping the game and award the goal. -
2-1 Portugal, like Deppo said.
