Shock, horror, Saints in not playing like Barcelona every week and beating everybody 5 nil. FFS, we're going great guns, and it's totally unrealistic that we'll be excellent every week. Sometimes we'll have to grind out a result when we're playing poorly. 8 wins, 3 draws and 2 narrow defeats. 3 points clear at the top after 13 games. By the way, if you were the prat behind me at the game today, getting stuck into 'Fatty Lambert' every 30 seconds, you're a fecking disgrace. Cut the guy some slack, he's been great all season so, when he has an off day, he deserves some fecking support.

Yes, but that's going to happen at times throughout the season. Reading were well organised and had done their homework on us. Ironically we were starting to take control when they scored. We finished very strongly, even with 10, and it was a great goal. A point won not two loast. Draw the blue line, move on.

Yep, from the university of salford in physiotherapy

Indeed...they've got some incredibly thick posters too though

I'd be surprised if we went for him. Reading between the lines it seemed as though he wasn't the right character to fit into the squad. That's not based on anything other than both sides backtracking pretty quickly having met.

To be fair if it had been allowed it would have cot us £87 too! First and last goal for Jos!

They are massively in debt. £100m apparently. However that doesn't seem to stop them spunking huge wages and big transfer fees on players. So, technically they've not got huge resources, yet they're still massive spenders in this league. £3.5m and £50k per week+ for Nolan (in his 30's), or 23 year old Jack Cork for £750k and whatever his wages might be?

Some of their more reasoned posters seemed to suggest that they can bully teams with their style, but when they play a team who can play around them they struggle. I hope they don't come up as that brand of football simply isn't what the game should be about. I suspect they'll fund a way into the top 6 though, but if results start going against them, the Big Sam style will become a big issue. They're second in the table and are split 50/50 on his playing style. What happens if they lose a few, especially at home? I'm guessing that they'll quickly run out of ideas against the better teams. I don't think anyone told the wingers / full backs that Carew had gone off last night....they still kept launching it into the box 30 yards from the byeline.

This. I honestly think fans that have been too used to the PL forget that you don't have to have heard of players for them to be good. I think we're generally a lot more knowledgeable about lower division players now, having experienced a few seasons down in the NPC/L1. They basically have no idea about the quality of our squad because they've never heard of them. Funnily enough there is a whole world outside of the PL....and that world has some good players. WHU are doing a Pompey. Big players on big wage packets, with nothing left to prove. Big Sam believing that the player has to be a 'name' or from a PL club to be any good. Interesting that their best player last night was probably Baldock...and I suspect they only went for him as he was cheap and thought he'd fill a squad place - 'worth a punt' if Carew or Cole gets injured. I bet Baldock would have loved to be in our side instead.

Just been announced that he has died.

Massive accident at Las Vegas Indy Car race tonight. 15 car accident and Briton Dan Wheldon airlifted to hospital. Looks like a shocker - hope he's going to be ok but, judging by the looks on the faces of the drivers, it looks like bad news http://aol.sportingnews.com/sport/story/2011-10-16/dan-wheldon-hurt-in-huge-crash-at-las-vegas

Really? Injured.
-
Eh? How do you define 'bargain basement' then? They have a very expensive squad, assembled by SC, and he's done feck all with them.

Can you pass the UK citizen test?

8. FFS. I'm clearly a very poor guesser... I am the thickest so far (or first in the queue outta here). -
But I don't think LB is a gobsh!te on the pitch particularly is he? Michael Svensson was certainly a take no prisoners character on the pitch, but is a quiet, unassuming guy off it. LB is, as you have pointed out, hardly a Keane, Barton, Ferguson etc, so I really don't get your point at all I'm afraid. LB strikes me purely and simply as a professional footballer who is no better or worse than any other when it comes to his onfield behaviour (probably average behaviour wise). He went out, had a drink and got into a ruck. I can't condone that, but the point you're trying to make, well, simply, has no point IMHO.

The 1.9 diesels in the A4 and Passat are excellent. What about a diesel Honda? It'd have to be a civic at that price, but they'll do some pretty majpr miles.
-
Put me down for that. Blood y website posted it 3 times!
-
What's your point here SS? He doesn't pull out of a tackle, ergo he's a nasty piece of work off the pitch? How does that stack up then?

I think he ives in Knightwood Park, Chandlers Ford. Certainly his lad used to go to a nursery close by (same nursery as my daughter....I'm not a stalker:uhoh:).
