  1. How would you describe 'strong' then??! That's pretty impressive from my seat.
  2. I got to know Michael, Terese and Lukas fairly well over the 3 years prior to him going back to Sweden in December 09. Nice family.
  3. I guess they could have had the right person but completely bodged up the whole case. In that scenario they'd be well within their rights to be p!ssed.
  4. 'On a free'....no such thing. You may not have paid the club anything, but the normal thing for a player in demand, is that he ends up with a big wedge of cash. Add on the agents fees and signing on fees, and 'free' suddenly becomes 'expensive'. How on earth do you reckon gates of 12 - 16k pay 2 strikers on £20k per week, a centre half on £36k a week and Varney and Norris on at least £12k a week, plus whatever Benjani is on (and bear in mind he said he was going to sign for Blackburn again in the summer - I guess you're paying him more money than they are). That's without bringing the likes of Halford into the equation. Madness...especially as the owners are allegedly no spending money on the playing squad. Still, they are 'investing in the Academy'. Anything more on what that means yet Ho?
  5. Ah, yes, it was that clown, not the Clot Clown. All of their clowns seem to roll into one.
  6. Depends if he was interested in playing for us I guess.
  7. Oh, I know all about them, but he seems to know so much about the wage packets of our players......and I've never known anything be mentioned about those. By contrast, Kitson and Lawrence's weekly earnings were provided by the current incumbent clown in the managerial hotseat - quite how he can do that is beyond me, and I'd be surprised if both players weren't monumentally p!ssed off about it. I don't think there's any doubt about the earnings of TBH, and the reasonable conclusion that Norris is on big bucks, given what Jewell has said. Halford's salary, to be fair, could be subsidised by Wolves......could be......
  8. But you know the intimate details of Fonte and Jaidi's wage packet do you? How do you know that? What's your inside information? Can you share it with us?
  9. Mine have arrived.
  10. I'm strongly suspecting that it's an error.
  11. Interesting how they've had 3 games in 8 days, and Leeds have had 1.....or 2 if you want to count the one at the start of the 8 day period, Stevie boy. T w a t of the highest order. I assume he realises it's a squad game? Oh.
  12. That bit wasn't great...but I think Pardew's answer would have been a variation of that (allegedly) His favourite word should have been 'bus' or 'building'
  13. 'What's the most famous name on your mobile?' 'Nokia"
  14. Clank. Let me pick that name up for you.
  15. I wish they'd both rise above it and show a bit of class. It's embarrassing at the moment. It was unnecessary for MLT to post that tweet. It's got nothing to do with him. I'd rather NC hadn't raked it all up again last weekend. I'd rather everyone would stop giving it the coverage it really, really doesn't deserve.
  16. We never score from them......
  17. Bloody right...as long as we're not taking unnecessary risks
  18. I don't think I ever said it was Kelvin's fault, just that it's a high risk strategy, and there's a time and a place for it. We shouldn't be inviting pressure by doing it to our central midfielders all the time, and certainly not when we're under the cosh a bit. It happened against Brum when their tails were up having just scored, and it caused problems. At 4-1 and we're seeing out the game, no issue.
  19. No, but they're human, and can make the odd mistake. I would also imagine that sometimes there may be a bobble. Not everyones pitch will be as good as ours.
  20. But there is such a thing as playing someone into trouble. You can't always rely on a NPC player having a brilliant first touch.
  21. My issue is that it's fine but there's a time and a place for it. 4-0 up and 2 mins to go. Play it out to the full backs, but the real problem comes when he rolls it to a central midfielder
  22. He bloody well did....and then he remembered himself.
  23. I think the point is that these quotes will almost certainly be what he said, but the questions relating to them may have been 15 minutes apart in the actual interview. When edited to fit the few column inches they can spare, they miraculously come together to make it read that he's having a direct pop at MLT and LM. Context is everything here. I just wish they'd sort it out. It wouldn't hurt NC to offer an olive branch, and it wouldn't hurt MLT to, for once, admit he was mugged and backed the wrong horse in the takeover. I accept he was only ever doing it in what he honestly believed was the best for the club but I'm not sure how he honestly thought Micky Fialka was the man to rescue us. In his book he still maintains that they had the money. Cringe.
  24. I'll go with this. I just wish that they could be more grown up and bury the hatchet.
