Of course it is. Into Darkness is sh!t.

Step off the ledge, Lazlo. Your latest submission did not tickle the collective funny bone of your fellow muppets. I find in this situation it's best NOT to make a big thing of it.

Different rules on the Muppet Show, KRG. Get your wallet out and avoid those penny merchants.

It's a relatively humble and routine existence, my good man, but it does me.

I'm glad you clarified. I've just had the misfortune of sitting in a taxi with a racist scouse taxi driver. From the way he was going on, especially his repeated proclamation of "all dem Muslims", he didn't think that Muslims should be in Britain at all. 32K for four footbaths which essentially says "we care about your sh!t" is the best news I've heard all day.

C'mon chaps. Leave JLT alone. My prices make him look like the online version of NETTO, FFS.

Arf. Most pressing crisis of the day and I'm chatting on my own. Pursuant to the Apparent chemical weapon attacks in Syria maintenance contract, here's another angle of the story. US military forces, specifically the Armed Forces Tea Party group, using social media to make political statements. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/04/armed-forces-tea-party-syria_n_3865480.html?ir=Politics

The new Nexus 7 has just been released to rave reviews. If you go for a Nexus 10, wait until November. New model will be out then.

The recipe for Very Plain Plaice is inspiring.

Too late! I deliberately only gave him one recipe though to whet the appetite.

Certainly, Bear. I pride myself on a level of customer service that my £0.01 fly-by-night "competitors" cannot possibly achieve. I am like the Apple of Microwave For One. I have to be careful though. Sonia Allison's legal people are apparently on the ball. Check out the artfully placed stained microwave in the background. That's proper marketing.
-
I've got to keep the global value of Microwave for One high, KRG. It's bad enough my competitors on Amazon selling this book for a £0.01. They will be dealt with, believe me. The sooner you stop sending derisory and insulting offers my way, I can get on with it.

Probs will next time I'm up. Even if she decides not to go there, it's now on my list of places to visit.

Lordy, Obama has some front. Seeking regime change and funding the rebels, thereby helping to create and prolong the conflict, yet apparently it is the "world's credibility on the line". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-23962413

I would rather the thread be spent discussing the bargainous merits of my fantastically overpriced book, tyvm.

Inspired by Jeff Le Taxi's threads, but not really wanting to wreck his latest Saints-related one with the efficiency of a Bear at a sex picnic, I am placing the following item for sale. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microwave-One-Sonia-Allison/dp/1852250437 You can buy this book for £0.01p + £2.81 p&p from this page, or you could buy mine, attractively priced at £80.00 + £2.81. It's one of several - I have the largest private collection in the world, ranging from new to one that looks like it has actually been microwaved. Unfortunately, all cooking instructions refer to 600W microwaves, and it's only really small ones that splutter out that kind of power these days. Anyway, take a look.

Just back from Glasgow today. First visit to Scotland actually. Was taking Juvenile Unit #1 to view the Uni there along with two of her mates. They were all smitten with the Uni. I left them to it and walked two miles into town, checking emails in various cafes, so I got to see a fair bit of it. Had a lot of time to kill as well, so got some time to take it in. A few hours is never enough to come to any sort of conclusion on a city, but its better than nowt. I quite like it as a potential destination for Juvenile Unit #1, as they apparently have an affinity with scousers. Large agreement with Glasgow_Saint, a couple of obvious monstrosities aside, it really is a beautiful city centre.

Mike Harding, in his book the Armchair Anarchists Almanac, says that town planners have done more damage to British towns than the Luftwaffe ever managed. I can't help myself. I'm a huge fan of Georgian, Edwardian and Neo-classical buildings, things that are in abundance in some cities and sadly lacking in Southampton. We reached our architectural peak a century ago. If I had my way, every new building would look like them. I know that's not remotely practical, but what can I say? Huge fan.

Personally, I hope Sharp gets a go at some level, even if its cup stuff.

The Future of English Football - and are Saints playing their part?
pap replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If you want an assessment of what's wrong with English football, you only have to look at the way the press have fawned over Lambert's inclusion in the England team. Don't get me wrong. Rickie deserves all the plaudits he has coming his way and again, the Southampton experience has been key to getting him there. In reality, Lambert should have made his ascent and been developed much earlier, but the focus on foreign talent has prevented him and perhaps many others like him from being identified and developed. Rules for home-grown players should help, but don't go far enough as they apply to the squad, not the team. Plus if the player is under 21, all bets are off. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans/faqs/home-grown-player-rule/ -
Sellco (sp?) are doing 2 for 1 on forum message board icebreakers. It's where the trade go, apparently.

A lonely Southampton fan does some epic dancing on Sky Sports New

Just for clarification purposes, I'm not wound up by this at all. Actually quite surprised it was so tame considering the Twitter outrage. -

Sad to admit it, but that's the sort of nobby thing I'd have probably done. He's a better dancer than me though. -
Even so, the plan he describes seems like it's very much in action. My thoughts on this, and other factors at play right now. It's all about Iran, basically. http://frigsociety.com/2013/09/03/endgame-why-syrias-got-to-go/

Strange place to call a cab, mate. Don't they have taxis in Austria, or were they banned along with the notion that many Austrians were actually really into that Nazi sh!t? (Now you've got to admit, that's some tenuous Godwin).
