I like this quote, reputed to be from Banksy. People are taking the píss out of you everyday. They butt into your life, take a cheap shot at you and then disappear. They leer at you from tall buildings and make you feel small. They make flippant comments from buses that imply you’re not sexy enough and that all the fun is happening somewhere else. They are on TV making your girlfriend feel inadequate. They have access to the most sophisticated technology the world has ever seen and they bully you with it. They are The Advertisers and they are laughing at you. You, however, are forbidden to touch them. Trademarks, intellectual property rights and copyright law mean advertisers can say what they like wherever they like with total impunity. Fúck that. Any advert in a public space that gives you no choice whether you see it or not is yours. It’s yours to take, re-arrange and re-use. You can do whatever you like with it. Asking for permission is like asking to keep a rock someone just threw at your head. You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don’t owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don’t even start asking for theirs. So, er, yeah. All that, plus Sainsburys ad in particular is using our war dead to advertise a supermarket. It's what they died for.

The Christmas episodes are alright, but it is not worth revolving your life around EastEnders, mush.

Yes I am, as it goes*. * unless you want to talk about EastEnders or some sh!t.

On the point about what does Ukraine have to gain:- Russia effectively rolled into Crimea, and after much international furore, the international public slowly stopped giving a fúck. Think I've said similar before, but if you ever wanted a tangible example of international concern, I can't really think of a more relevant one for the public than a commercial airliner. Duly, the world renewed its interest in Ukraine, Putin (and by extension) was made to look like at worst, a belligerent - and at best, an incompetent with no control over the pro-Russian rebels. Additional actions like sanctions, etc, were both justified and taken, all based on nowt more than social media, despite the US saying they had hard evidence proving that pro-Russian rebels were responsible. This video has been posted before. If the US have the evidence they claim to have, they can sink this Russian evidence in a single shot. Over to you, colonial cousins.

Yeah, that's because you're morally and intellectually inferior. Thanks for the setup, trousers. Cheque is on it's way, as per.

Leave Chapel End Charlie alone, chaps. As his film reviews show, he's a bit behind the times. He'll probably be posting in 2045 saying Lallana is a c××t or whatever. MechaTurkish will say "who?"
-
Look. We've had some complaints. People felt that the discussion was being hampered by the infighting. As you can see, the discussion has flourished in our absence.
-
Indeed. Let on topic discussion of this burning issue recommence.

People often say "paps. How comes you spend so much time on SaintsWeb?" Where else would I get to see a man publicly falling in love with a complete c**t having a go at another man for being a complete c**t? Funny thing is that I've been for a beer with UJ. If that is your definition of complete c**t , you're going to have nightmares when you watch some of the scarier Disney films.
-
FFS UJ. Be responsible. If whelk sees this and is also a Danny Dyer fan, he'll blow his load on the spot.
-
Shame. I'd rather he emulated the "finish your career at Southampton" achievement

Ads is also a fine ambassador, untouched by tribal concerns. Look at the way he signed those Liverpool shirts in Miami. And let's not forget his inspirational heart to heart with those Brazilian kids. "You too could be a Western-raised footballer who craps on the team he captains under the full glare of the international media" Life-changing.

Boruc did one too many, if that helps.

That is a superb statistic; if we can keep that up over the season, who knows what'll happen.

I do find it amazing that the Tories are beating Labour in some polls. Slash and burn government dismantling the NHS against manifesto in front of our very eyes, and Ed can't muster a lead over them. The UKIP thing is a huge wildcard. It's going to be as, if not more significant than Cleggmania We all remember Cleggmania, don't we?

This is different to any other season I've experienced, but the huge difference for me personally is just going to the games. Seems I've picked the right season to get a season ticket. The manager seems like he wants to be here, the quality of football is consistently better and I don't spend every game feeling like someone at an orgy wondering whether I'll be able to get it up. We will score! (usually). I've said this before, but Poch's meta-game is excellent to the detriment of any clear strategy. Press high, capitalise on mistakes, score goals. Worked well in patches, especially against the teams trying to attack us. It doesn't work if you've got 10 other behind the ball blokes covering for the mistake that gets made (bus parkers), nor does it work if someone is actively countering it (0-3 vs Liverpool last year). Koeman seems able to mix it up, has bought better than we had and is getting superb performances out of the likes of Wanyama, Davies and Schneiderlin. There have been a few occasions this year when we've genuinely looked like a top 4 side, taking the píss around the penalty area like them skilful players at Arsenal and Man City do, whereas last year such close play was usually the prelude to Lallana taking a touch too many and arseing it up. Better players, better manager, better team and our best ever start to a top flight campaign. The potential feels limitless at the moment.

Mark Gatiss was on Richard Herring's podcast. He asked when YewTree was going to expand its remit beyond the 1975 Royal Variety Show

The political will isn't there because there's still so much dosh to be creamed from fossil fuels, at every stage of the process. It'll end up being one of these "necessity is the mother of invention" things, probably after the shít has already hit the fan.
-
I remember going for a shít in the TESCO's cafe, Old Swan. Someone had scrawled "Every little helps.... destroy local businesses" on the cubicle wall. The author would probably disagree with the "no odds" statement. Even so, watching fully grown adults act as unpaid repeaters for corporate messages is f**king tragic. No-one's on here doing a recruitment drive for Facebook.
-
Is it? Don't watch broadcast TV. Probably why I think that the annual process of celebrating someone's corporate message is blooming sad. F**k the content; I actually had a FB mate say Christmas can start because she's seen the f**king Coke advert. Sheep pliable c**ts. (sorry!)
