Don't see the point in fannying around with the ball in defence against this lot. It's going to go long in the end, hopefully before making an inevitable mistake.

Against City just get rid. Long ball from defence for quick runners is allowed against this lot.

My prediction for first goal was Sterling after 13 minutes. 🙄

Those were a couple of dangerous looking corners fired in by Olise. JWP might want to have a look.

With Mike Dean as ref I'll be happily surprised if Saints make it to half time with 11 still on the pitch. I find myself strangely relaxed about this game. That's what Saints' recent form and expectation of an almost certain exit from the FA Cup does I guess.

In three so-called winnable games against teams below Saints we've scored just twice. One a deflected half arsed attempt and the other a mishit wobble that crept in at the far post. I've prattled on seemingly for ever about our poor chance to goal ratio but now we're not creating very much at all either. Sure we're making mistakes at the the back but going forward Saints look clueless.

Saints fortunate to get away with just conceding two goals. That was dreadful all round the park. No saving graces at all.

Comical stuff. Nobody prepared to shoot so Watford break and miss another chance.

Watford will kick themselves if they don't win this. Their forwards outpacing Saints defence all the time but their finishing is woeful.

I make it two bad similar performances on the trot. Maybe the players started to believe the hype (it happens) so let's see what happens on Sunday. Another "on the beach" end of season won't go down well.

What is it about Saints coaching that seems to make players like Tino and Brojo to go backwards? Something of the raw talent we saw earlier looks to have gone missing and Saints look predictably worse as a result.
