  1. 2 weeks today then .....
  2. Heat a teaspoon under the hot tap - put a few drops of oil onto the teaspoon after you have dried it to let it take up some of the heat then pour it into the ear and lie down on the other one. leave it still like that for 10 to 20 minutes then sit up and put a bit of cotton wool inthe ear to catch the drops - it will feel weird and you will go totally deaf with the oil in it will soften the wax and if you do that twice a day for a few days it may be enough to loosen enough for yu to hear again propewrly but you will probably still need them syringing please don't put water in the ear or try and rise it inthe shower - it makes it worse and don't put anything else in the ear at all
  3. very very good
  4. It really has all gone very very very quiet , hasn't it? Considering we are days/hours away from certain oblivion - does it mean resignation to the enevitable or..something afoot?
  5. No one has mentioned early Marillion
  6. My wife and I worked in Wisconsin for a while and enjoyed that time very much. Bizzarely though we ended up in a group of friends that were nearly all European. Never really had a sense of 'Europe' until we were in the US for a time , especially an area that doesn't get any tourists. I think we polarised because we missed the black/sarcastic humour after a while. You will miss some fine premiership football though mate
  7. Oh how times change , used to be the ceefax page for me
  8. The family of 'myster shoppers' were probably very impressed to be served by members of the first team tbf
  9. Absolutely superb Chris, love the blogs - many thanks for these.
  10. Tents, sporting venue, Voldermort It will be the quidditch world cup fiasco all over again, mark my words
  11. Still don't get why they believe people will buy, this is a notoriously quiet time in the market anyway and surely if everyone keeps schtum they will all be avaliable on a free soon anyway. Really and truely have no idea how they are surviving day to day at the moment
  12. I did laugh a lot at this
  13. The guy is a legend and has been involved in some very important scientific discorveries in his time as well. He is bitter about the war as it killed his fiancé and he never loved again A couple of years back when I was reall into my astrophotography my then 7 year old son sent him a picture he drew. By return of post the guy sent him loads of signed stuff a lovely letter and invited us over for tea. His house is astonishing ( it's where they film the show' there are photos on the walls of him with the queen, Einstein, the wright brothers etc. sadly he is now very very disabled. A real gent
  14. I predict we will make several significant and surprising signings, as said 'undisclosed' , but we are back, and as Cortese has already said as we are ahead of schedule re the 5 year plan the funds will be avaliable. If rumours were to be believed if hooper had come in January that would have smashed the Delap record ' sometimes he's good , usually cr*p'
  15. Any 'official' sources regarding the alleged sacking of TB?
  16. Really hope so, its the one most of us have been hoping for for a long time
  17. Wtf??!!!????
  18. Just watched the football league show on iplayer , just love the post match stuff, so moving. Heart aches for Billy
  19. He is the best manager we have ever had in my opinion.
  20. I actually wthought I'd be gutted we didn't go up as champions, but I can honestly say I couldn't give a rats arse about that right now
  21. My 3rd son is due to be born in June, may he never know a Southampton outside of the top flight
  22. It's amazing had texts from my mum and dad, my cousins, my brother, mates back in southampton, relatives in Australia ! all telling me how happy they are, most of them telling me that they are in floods of tears. This means so much to so many people. With just a few additions I also believe we will cause some surprises in the premier league next year, we are quality
  23. 7 years ago I was logged on here in silence, just to be here with my fellow fans. Lump in throat and emotional. Since then it has been a roller coaster that saw us fro lower than I could ever have imagined possible, to the brink of no existence. The last 3 years have been phenomenal , a meteoric rise of a classy team under sublime management with decent financial backing and top quality facilities. Through all of this the only single constant has been us, the fans. I have been on here since SFE as have most of you. I don't often post much of value I know but it has been a great honour to share the ride with you all. I know it's soppy but I want to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone on here, I know I don't really 'know you'. But we are all linked in our love for the club.
