  1. What’s wrong with Redmond?
  2. Shows how far we have come when top sides alter formations to play us.
  3. Pardew, mostly for his little jig celebration. Steve McLarren, various reasons but mostly in the infamous Dutch tv interview when he spoke English as a foreign language.
  4. Yep, it’s one I was most looking forward to when I thought we would have fans back. Still looking forward to it. Might be a bit like wolves, bit of cancelling each other out. They are a threat.
  5. Taking Le Tiss was really enjoyable
  6. Southgate seriously grinds my gears these days.
  7. Leeds must be one of the best teams to watch.
  8. Stay in London, unclean, unclean. This is a local ground for local people!
  9. I don't think the elite soccer-ball clubs should have to play us small time Charlies. Surely there is some algorhythm you could employ just to give them the three points?
  10. Djenepo nullified Djenepo, that’s pretty much all he did, stayed on way too long.

Ever mind that, let’s get back to the intellectual debate that is going straight over my qualitative quantitative little head!
  12. Well he does epitomise the bulldog spirit
  13. Chris Marsden.
  14. 8, oh dear! ☹️
  15. That’s the one!
  16. This has stirred something in my memory, did you get this from your old scouts uniform?
  17. As i said way up the thread, i think he will drift down to non league, unless there is some massive change in attitude.
  18. Blimey!

There's a lot of love for Theo here so fair play for sticking your neck out. From my perspective I thought he would be a bad signing and was wrong. He has been much better than I expected, he is definitely an upgrade on Redmond in as others have said he picks up the ball and runs at people (which Redmond doesn't do so effectively these days, in my view), which I love to see. It's for that same reason I took to Armstrong very quickly as he was the only one in the era of square and backward passing to do that. In my unsophisticated football brain I like a bit of direct running and the excitement it creates and I think Theo has provided that. Ralph did say in the post match interview they need to work on his finishing, if they can improve on that he will be a huge acquisition for us.
  20. He’s in the “has potential” bracket for me. He is talented but unpredictable, unpredictable can be good, but in his case it often looks chaotic.
  21. I see their point, I favour a system where all the big clubs (franchises) should have 3 teams, offense, defense and special teams, plus subs. So a match day squad of about 40. Bring back the drinks break and break each half to get instructions out, then we could have 4 quarters, with mini breaks between, they could be called time outs? If the franchises owners get bored, restless, sick of their fans or have a fit of pique they could simply move to a new location / country. The players could also where head to toe protection, after all staying safe is all that matters now. Can't believe no one else thought of that?
  22. We really aren’t at the level we can shop for the best player in every position. I’m happy with our first eleven, as many others have said we are too thin in certain areas, particularly at full back, maybe midfield as we don’t have a clue if Diallo is going to make the grade. As someone said in the Newcastle match thread, saints are greater than the sum of the parts so, other than adding a bit of depth I’d be loathed to change too much.
  23. never say never
