I left the game very deflated yesterday, but on reflection it was a massive improvement. Good to see Still has the courage to drop players who needed dropping, who would previously have been picked automatically regardless of form. Signs of encouragement. Where I differ from quite a few on here is I thought Middlesbrough were a very good side, well organised and dangerous on the break. I think some people forget we are in the championship, that’s the level we are competing at. They are a good championship team, that’s why they are top. We are also a championship team, with championship players and we aren’t going to blow these teams, who some consider inferior, away.

I was behind the goal, he was on his way down when the ball looped over him, not a chance in hell he could have got to it.

I remember watching James Beattie playing in a pre season friendly at Bournemouth, I didn’t know who he was. He was very “raw.”, but you could see straight away he had something about him. I’ll say it again, I cannot see a single redeeming feature in Downs. At his age I’d have been more effective, I was nowhere near a top footballer.

That's the reality, if we don't go up this season then we probably have less of a chance next season, then after that its a long hard road.
