The first bit is arbitrary which makes it a nonsense, what if it was united that had scored it? Different outcome??
-
He is very talented but has a pea-sized heart

I don’t believe they can determine the exact fraction of a second that the ball is struck by a player with the level of accuracy required for such a small measurement of offside.
-
And me, and most, if not all, of the supporters I know.
-
That makes a lot of sense, he showed that when he came on against Preston, picking up the ball and driving towards goal, which I don’t think is something Russ is too keen on.
-
That is, and was, the biggest issue when we took him on. You can’t blame him for wanting the opportunity, but you can hold our leaders to account for taking a higher risk option in what most feel was the best opportunity for a return to the prem.
-
It’s debatable that he has made us “better” relative to the league we now find ourselves in.
-
Cheers for that, so a pretty pivotal player then as we’ve only lost 9 all season in total ?
-
Ran out of “steam” ?

Does anyone have the results / points total from the games he has not played in? It seemed to have dramatic effect on us on Tuesday when he was pulled at half time, then there was today and the awful run earlier this year when he was out. He has been crucial for us.
-
Rothwell won us six points. It’s a strange one, I don’t know anything about him or what his best position is. Brooks is an impact sub imo, unless Fraser is carrying an injury I don’t know why he starts.

I don’t care so much about promotion as I do about stagnation or deterioration in the championship, it’s catch 22. Another season like this would be good next season, but that will require a lot of investment, even if that’s possible under ffp.
-
I’m not laughing, he is my absolute favourite player. Let’s accept I don’t know what caused his injury and neither do you, but it seems reasonable to speculate that he wasn’t managed correctly. That’s all I am saying.
-
He’s been struggling through games since the international break, either with fatigue or injury or both, it seems a valid point to me.
-
Arrogance. It’s the old hard work beats talent adage, or as Strachan used to say, you have to earn the right to do the nice stuff, or words to that effect.

Could help if we are heading for the Riverdance playoffs
-
I hope he starts with broadly the same team as tonight, I don’t mind Frasier in for Brooks l (who was ok tonight), pretty much our strongest lineup in my view.
-
I’d just like to reiterate, I never doubted Russ for a minute. disclaimer Please don’t refer to previous posts that may or may not have expressed views that could be interpreted as doubts, I think I may have been hacked, it’s possible I could be hacked again when we next lose.

I don’t think home is a massive advantage at this stage, the pressure can be huge and if the fans get nervous it can negatively impact the players. Contenders in the top two divisions are starting to choke under that huge pressure and expectation.

I just thought risk was taken to a new level on Saturday and we were lucky to escape on a couple of occasions
-
I know we model ourselves on City, but even they will hoof it out of defence when the need arises, I felt we were playing Russian roulette across the back at times on Saturday
-
I’m not sure how I feel about that, I really don’t want City to win the title. Or win anything until the are competing fairly.
-
I always had faith in Russ, or maybe I never did, or maybe I have flip flopped, but one thing I can be certain of, is one of those things is true.
