  1. i was 7 yrs old and living just outside Andover, spending every minute I wasnt at school pretending to be Kevin Keegan, playing for England. My dad then came home from work one day and told me he'd just signed for MY team... Saints!! unbeliveable!! Watched Saints spank Boro 4 -0 at the end of that season before then getting season tickets in the new Family Centre and watching the most exciting Saints team ever for the next few years! Happy days!!!
  2. Not really odd. You post on every thread and looking back on your last 10 post they are all personal to one poster or other. that's what you do to threads and why this forum has become ****. Goodnight old bean.
  3. Bless. I think you'll find obsessed doesn't have 3 s's in the middle. We'll forgive you old chap. P.S My old man used to be an English teacher if you want some extra help....
  4. Have a look for yourself mate. I rarely post to be honest but in my 150 odd posts only the last 5 have been Turkey related. The rest are completely Saints related. I'm an out of town Saints fan who is an avid reader of this board and previous boards. Unfortunately the quality of debate and opinion has taken a huge down turn - many of the more intelligent posters just dont bother posting anymore. The main reason is due to the trolling/playground debate that now occurs on this board
  5. You asked how many times we made their keeper work. I showed you the stats. No - wasn't there today - was working and got home just in time to watch a stream. Go to games many times a season. No mate - not obsessed! It's just when I go to occasionally post you've already been there!!! Maybe because you post on any old **** whether you've got an opinion or not!! Cheers TURKEY
  6. Wow!!Am a little surprised you have been allowed to get away with this sort of small mindedness nastiness! Using the word 'retard' is pretty much redundant in the real world Turkey. Sorry mate.. migt be cool in the cyber warrior world but in this world not good (below is an up to date dictionary defintion) 2. An offensive term used to refer to someone acting in an irritating or generally stupid way. Just trying to help educate you because I'd hate for you to get an infraction
  7. Well Turkey, according to BBC football website we had 13 shots in total compared to Sunderland's 10. Of those... we had 7 on target compared to Sunderland's 6. So based on those stats I guess their keeper made 7 saves.. 1 more than Kelvin had to make. Glad to be of help. For further inquiries of this nature please refer to http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20738525 Thanks old Turkey
  8. Unfortunately there is apparently no room for opinion anymore on this board. FWIW, I agree with you - a mountain of difference but don't let that get in the way of the Turkish way. After you Turkey...
  9. Christ that was dreadful! Mayuka trying but not on the same wavelength as others on terms of runs off the ball and passes. Ramirez woeful! Has played approx 90 mins of half decent football since his arrival - the rest of the time he flatters to deceive.Might be 'one for the future' but we actually need pts now. We don't have the luxury of giving him a season or so to find his feet cos we'll be relegated. Yes...individual moments of skill but he's hardly top of the list when it comes to assists is he? No tactical changes as such - just the normal simple changes in personnel which made absolutely no difference - in fact Sunderland looked more and more comfortable as the game went on. Adkins completely out thought by MON. But the most embarassing for me is that none of our 'first team' can kick a dead ball!! One corner from De Ridder was decent- all other dead balls either mis-hit/ hit the first defender. (obviously SLR shots not included). I've got a bit of time off over Xmas so will gladly pop to the training ground to show them how to kick a dead ball. Hopefully they will all get a kick up the backside after that shocker and we'll come out fighting on Boxing Day.
  10. OK... deep breath. I will answer once only and not be drawn into some silly tit for tat exchange as appears to happen on every other thread you 'contribute' to. This thread was about buying tickets and experiences and opinions on booking system. You start to get everyone's backs up by replying with quotes to EVERY post you don't agree with. (threads generally get to a point where you post about half a dozen replies in a row ). You then get some bites back and you become more and more sarcastic with your replies. The thread then degenerates into some crap about wearing fancy dress, no doubt inspired by the thread on the same topic that was recently closed. Generally your posts become more and more polarised as threads go on,as you cannot seem to cope with any differing perspectives. I know you're just on a wind up with the whole 'our fans should all be lads wearing Stone Island/ no kids/facepaint/women 'etc etc but whilst mildy amusing at first, you have turned into a cariacture of your own sarcastic self, and it is now boring. In fact ,lots of the threads on here are now boring. Please take this in the manner it was meant - I rarely post on here (150 in 7 yrs) .Think of it as constructive feedback As I said before - Merry Xmas. Maybe take some time off from being on here all the time. And just to re-iterate, I won't be responding to your reply which you undoubtedly won't be able to resist writing ASAP
  11. Edited to now make sense!
  12. And the way Turkish has managed to hijack yet another thread to carry on his trolling is the main reason this message board is so poor these days! I have old Alps on ignore and luckily he doesn't go overboard on his posts these days so you can still read threads and make sense of them. Recently, most threads have so much Turkish trolling on them that they wouldn't even make sense if he was on 'ignore'. Turkish - please just let up a little and maybe find something else to do with your life occasionally. Please try and remember that some of us are interested in what all have to say Ta in advance and Merry Xmas all
  13. I could just about tolerate booing a player if (for example) he let it be known he wanted to leave, or was obviously not putting in the effort. Guly works his nads off - it doesn't always come off, butit's not through lack of trying! If you really want to undermine the team/individuals then fine; go ahead and boo one of our own who is brought on with a few mins to go whilst holding on to a tense 1- nil lead. Don't underestimate how the booing affects players/team - just ask any ex-player. So if you're happy to contribute negatively towards the 'goal' then crack on muppets.
  14. Need to change it up. Players looked leggy on Weds night.... feel we need to employ a different strategy as well so would possibly start with Rodriguez and Mayuka to give us real pace on the counter. Lets face it - we wont have the lions share of possession so we need to play differently....
  15. Bloody plastics buying tickets for games before I got mine :-( Wow... just wow!
  16. Probably didn't make it obvious enough but the wink was meant to signify I wasn't serious! Defo wouldn't want McCarthy.... Not sure who I would want tbh from the names that are being bandied around..... Rafa maybe but could he take a job where transfer policy and possibly other significant aspects of a managers job are out of his control. I seriously doubt it.
  17. The winky thing suggests not serious! Of course I don't want McCarthy! But we need a manager who understands how to get a team to defend!! We're not Barca..we can't play a strategy of 'We'll score more than you'
  18. Obviously NA will be on his way soon so what does NC do? Go for a solid type Premiership manager and give him money in Jan to buy some defenders? Or will he only go for another puppet where he can dictate transfers? For me it's gotta be Mick McCarthy....
  19. The best thing about this thread is nobody is re-quoting Alps which means my 'ignore' button is working. Hurrah!!
  20. Mmmm.. I went online last night and logged in. It then allowed me to purchase 6 tickets in total for Spurs game and never asked for 'membership' numbers for the other 5. 1. It means people can buy as many as they want for 'non members' 2. I will now have to phone up to get the ticket allocated to their membership ( for potential loyalty reasons at a later date) Ballache
  21. Took my boy when he was 4 and it cemented a life long love with Saints (well.... 10 yrs as he's only 14). She'll spend most of her time watching other people and want to get up and pee a lot but don't worry - you're in the family section and everyones in the same boat. You'll love it and so will she!
  22. Davis at fault for 1 st goal.. cork was cracking.. when he got pushed off the ball it was usually a 60 40 in their favour. Lambert nowhere near fit. Fox frustrating as is often the case. Ahhh !!! At the end of the day their keeper pulled off about 3 worldys to keep them in it.. a wonder strike from them to equalise 2 nd time. And northam support was awful from the moment the skates scored their .1st to 10 mins from the end. From the itchen chapel corner we were completely outsung for about an hour. Bottom line.. we created enough clear cut chances to beat most teams
  23. After months of debate with myself, I finally flipped today and put Alpine on ignore at 2-1 down after yet another of his 'we're doomed Captain ' comments. I just couldn't take his pessimism!! And look what happened!! I love Saints. Believe!!!!
  24. I'm still waiting for Dalek to admit he doesn't know anything about football. mmm.. Saints doing their best to match Dalek's prediction of 17th. NOT!! Actually... not seen Dalek on here tonight defending his increasingly polarised and quite frankly ridiculous views. Funny that
