Look - count my posts. Not very many. The last few have all been inspired by Alpine. When I say inspired what I mean is I am largely a reader of this forum (I actually have a life so don't have 90000 posts to my name - I'm too busy talking to people in front of me). Anyway I digress. You're right - apologies for OTT comments ref Alpine. Problem is he makes such inflammatory comments at a time when we're ll on edge i.e just conceded. It's also hard to put up with a know it all attitude from someone who hasn't watched a game for god knows how long .

Agree with your 1st sentence unfortunately. Let's hope all the additional cost of stewarding the Northam due to everyone standing doesn't irritate Cortese next, or there may be a whole lot more who suddenly can't renew their season tickets:) People might then start to talk about the principle involved rather than the individual

Alpine, the thing you just don't get is tht NickG/Turkish etc are voicing the opinions of the majority of Saints fans in terms of being positive! I've been watching Saints since 1980 and am more excited about going to a league game now than I have been for at least 10 yrs. Attractive football,positive vibe, strong squad... I'm really enjoying it right now. Then I peruse this board and see your comments and suddenly being a Saints fan becomes boring again. Stop stealing everyone's mojo with your bizarre pessimism. You live in Austria and never go to a game - you know jack about what's going on. You should be using this board to gain a bit of knowledge about how Saints are doing.. not forever shove your blind negativity down our throats. Just got back after a few cheeky beers after the game, Saints were bloody awesome!! Rest players?? - We've only played about 5 games in the last 6 weeks. I don't think they're tired - do you?? Played fantastic football and kept that winning vibe going. Looked cocky and confident on the ball from the 1st whistle! I agree - there are problems with their top order. To be honest, that's the job of the openers to take the lacquer off so that the no.3 batsman can make hay. Trouble is, Ponting is class but not against the new ball! Hasn't had to face it much before cos he had two great batsmen in front of him. I agree - think Hussey would hurt us more.

redknapp... came to Saints and one of the 1st things he said was that we had no leader in the back 4 and conceded too many goals. He then signed Bernard and Davenport in January. cut to May and we're relegated. redknapp quoted as saying the reason we went down is we just didn't have any leaders at the back and conceded too many. My point? He publicly identified a problem... had money and time to address it.... got it wrong..... blamed it on the squad he inherited. Twitchy is a slimy east end crook who has never taken ANY responsibility for the demise of all the clubs he has managed.

Hd a look on official site but couldn't find an update on tickets sold. When we got ours a couple of weeks go we wanted Kingsland stand and had to get Row HH. Hopefully a big one - anyone know what we've sold so far?

The main benefit from keeping away fans in is that it means those home fans who DO want to be a million miles away from potential trouble can at least make their escape.

You lot are weird!! The word is banter. Once in a blue moon someone comes up with an original and witty chant... usually about once a decade. The rest of the time we have to resort to the 'who' and 'wotsit' type chants. As unoriginal as they are, as already mentioned it obviously affected the capability of a keeper or 2 last season. You may find it funny - you may not. The beauty of being in a crowd of 20k plus is the diversity you will encounter. If you can't cope with sharing your leisure time with people who think differently and have different levels of intellect then my advice is find another past time. oh.. and btw highlights about to start on BBC1 so take a deep breath, relax, switch your PC off and watch us win again (you may want to turn the volume down so you're not embarassed)
