Saint Garrett replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Did this happen ? Anyone see it? -
Didn't even know they produced any young talent? I couldn't name you one British player who has come through their academy?

Although I do agree, hopefully the fact it's an evening game will improve the atmosphere.

Not sure what it's called but this...

Davis possibly injured for the weekend....Lambert in, 2 up front with J-Rod out wide, or Gaston/Guly in?!
-
Yeah, thats old....we should play at a very high intensity - they won't be able to deal with us.
-
Bloody quiet on here when we're doing well isnt it !

Ticket Sales - Still not a sell out this year yet.
Saint Garrett replied to CFSFC's topic in The Saints
Because surely its better investing in the young fans before they start supporting Chelsea/Man U/Arsenal etc. Yes the club would probably lose money in the short term but surely then would have higher demand for tickets in 5 years time and would be able to charge more/invest in a bigger stadium. -

That depends how you look at it though. Yes if you solely that this season then yes it's about right, but if you're looking at the fans of the future then let's say for all home games on sky, do kids for a quid and drop adult prices by a fiver. The club make their money from sky and we get a full house. Plus, you need to invest in the kids to expand fan base in the next 10 years. It all just seems to be a bit shortsighted from the club. Especially games like the cup, against in glamorous sides. It should be a 10er, kids for a quid or something. I don't even have kids or work in marketing but surely it's pretty straightforward? Get them hooked now and they're a Saint for the next 70 years! -
Interesting View on Attacking/Defending

If we start putting our defensive unit with some clinical forward play then we would be challenging for the title IMO. Can't see it happening anytime soon though... -

Not my problem...I go... -

On Sky isn't it....I know a few people who aren't STH and they've basically said any game on TV, they'll watch on TV and save money for the others. (Fair enough). Still pretty pathetic though. I expect we'll sell out the 2nd half of the season though. Not quite sure why but it has happened the last few seasons. -
Why do some posters revel in players/managers doing badly?
Saint Garrett replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
I think everyone knows that Barry Sanchez is a skate on a windup. There's having a negative opinion then just being a total twunt. -

We're in pretty good company there!! -
Cheapest away of the season? SWEEEEET! I've done WBA, Norwich and Man Utd as well so that's a result.
-
He said we were long ball merchants and just like Dagenham but with Lambert up front.
-
It is pathetic but it doesn't come as a shock!

It is very strange. Some come across like they want us to fail so they can say 'I told you so' -
We're in a league of our own defensively. (Should get a few chances vs Fulham at the weekend) Attacking could be better though. Info from http://experimental361.com/
-
Ah yes that must be why we're in the top 6, how dare Cortese bring in such awful players.

'The best coached team in the league by miles..'
Saint Garrett replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
Evans is a very decent ball playing CB, would be a great fit for us IMO. Wouldn't have many of their other players though - especially if you've got one eye on the future. Centre midfield ? No chance -
