  1. Read through this if you think we're like WHU ! http://westhamonline.net/forum_flat.php?7003123|o
  2. Maybe something to do with MP saying the other day that we use possession as a defensive tactic. When we have the ball we're not always wanting to score, just keeping the ball. We do need to have a 'moments' for a bit longer in games though. We played for about 5 minutes against Palace and went 2-0 up, then the rest of the game we were playing keep ball.
  3. Maybe speak to these guys, they had MLT on there not so long ago. https://twitter.com/SaintsPodcast
  4. I definitely think we're more efficient under MP, but would still say we're pretty good to watch.
  5. Think it was quite funny when I was flicking through the papaers on Sunday. In one he got an 8 and MOM and in another he got a 5 and our worst performer. I guess it depends what you expect from him. He is superb at winning it back and he's a big strong lad who rarely gets tackled, however his distribution is absolutely dreadful when it seems to much easier to make the pass than give it away.
  6. You can look at our 'long balls' on FourFourTwo stats zone. I copied a few onto another thread about long balls a few weeks ago but heres a few more. Vs Palace http://www.fourfourtwo.com/statszone/8-2013/matches/694956/team-stats/20/1_PASS_12#tabs-wrapper-anchor Vs Liverpool http://www.fourfourtwo.com/statszone/8-2013/matches/694944/team-stats/20/1_PASS_12#tabs-wrapper-anchor Vs West Ham http://www.fourfourtwo.com/statszone/8-2013/matches/694936/team-stats/20/1_PASS_12#tabs-wrapper-anchor Vs Norwich http://www.fourfourtwo.com/statszone/8-2013/matches/694927/team-stats/20/1_PASS_12#tabs-wrapper-anchor We're not particularly 'long ball' in a direct way, but we do like to switch the ball a lot, and have used the wings more this season that last IMO
  7. Maybe something to do with the link between the club and Soton Solent Uni? We do all our testing and a lot of pre season stuff there I think? It's odd that the club will do this for people who probably don't even support the club, but weren't willing to do a kids deal for the Bristol City game.
  8. They should probably get in touch with the Northern Saints then! As I believe they get some kind of priority with tickets.
  9. Swansea fans all get a free "hot meal" at St Mary's on Sunday I believe...! One or two clubs reducing all away tickets by a quid per game or something. Some doing totally free travel to away game or two. God knows where ours is going...!
  10. You'd certainly get more interest if it was a post match video podcast or something. Wasn't there someone who did something similar in L1? Exeter maybe or something 2 guys did a post match discussion after the game. Can't remember exactly. I listen to the Saints Podcast and even though it's nothing amazing, it's still a decent listen and some decent points discussed.
  11. Wasn't Norwich on a Sunday?! And Stoke was between Xmas and NY!
  12. Generally if it's a 3pm Saturday kick off we'll sell out. Especially when it's the only away game that month. Only ones where we may not is Newcastle and Sunderland. Another retarded decision by the club re tickets after Norwich shambles.
  13. Really ?! WTF?! Again ? How do you know this ?
  14. Now sold out. Our allocation of tickets for #SaintsFC's trip to @ManUtd have now sold out. Thanks for your superb support once again!

  16. Davis was playing on the left for the majority of the first half, then Lallana and Davis swapped and he went on the right. Lambert and Osvaldo alternated as to which dropped off. He struggled as his job was no longer just getting it and passing it on. He actually had to do something with it which isn't his game. He just keeps things ticking over with shirt passes.
  17. They move the ball very well, we'll have to be wary of them switching it quickly to bypass our press. Would probably stick with the same side - although I'd be tempted to take out Davis and put J-Rod, JWP or Gaston in for him. Don't think he suited playing on the left.
  18. Can't imagine wage demands would have been the sticking point as doubt he's earning that much. £25k max I would have thought.
  19. Hahaha, forgot about that...Classic.
  20. Don't see why anyone bets in these things. You get far better odds online, and normally on betfair!
  21. Sure they'd be happy to keep him if he's getting points, although that way of playing can only get you so far. He'll stay til they clear the debt IMO, keep them up and the prem money coming in. They're still paying Sheffield Utd for the Tevez fiasco!

    Top Four

Probably not no. Think some people are getting a bit carried away....We've only played WBA, Sunderland, Norwich, WHU, Liverpool and Palace ! We'll see how we get on at Old Trafford and then when we play against Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal. Top 6 is a possible but very unlikely. 7th is possible...
  23. This is the one, class. Need to get it going at Man Utd as away games are when songs start generally.
  24. Another cracking performance from him today. Top top defender.
