West Ham have only taken 2000 tickets anyway. Sent 1200 back from what I gather.
-
Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC 4h Subject to availability, tickets will then be on sale from the Ticket Office right up until kick-off at 4pm. #saintsfc

200th game. 104goals

Very attacking though. And would give our full backs very little cover. Can imagine Jarvis causing us problems.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ashley-coles-england-place-under-2274765 Ashley Cole's England place is under threat from Southampton youngster Luke Shaw, NOT Leighton Baines 14 September 2013 10:30 PM By Southampton youngster Luke Shaw could be the long-term replacement for Ashley Cole according to his Saints team-mate Jack Cork Jack Cork has warned Ashley Cole his England place is under threat – from Southampton teen *sensation Luke Shaw. Saints midfielder Cork, 24, played alongside Cole at Chelsea and reckons that 18-year-old Shaw can be his long-term replacement for the Three Lions. Cork, whose Saints side host West Ham today, said: “Luke can be the future *replacement for Ashley Cole at England. “If he keeps his head down, doesn’t let anything distract him and keeps *improving like he has been then he can go as far as he wants.” Whizz-kid Shaw burst on to the scene last season, *attracting the attention of Premier League big guns Manchester United and Arsenal in the process. Surrey-born Shaw *committed his future to Saints by signing a five year contract in July and made his debut for the England Under-21s against Moldova last week. Cork added: “Last year he was in the Under-21 develop*ment squad and came in and went straight into the Premier League. “For any player that is a massive ask and Luke did it brilliantly. No one in the league got the better of him. “For someone who was 17 at the time to be able to do that is amazing.” Former England Under-21 star Cork is hoping to make his first Premier League appearance of the season against the Hammers. Cork says he is relishing the battle with £12m pounds summer signing Victor Wanyama for a starting spot. Cork said: “At the level we are at now there are always going to be top class signings. Vic is strong and a great player. “It’s always good to have competition as we *also have Morgan Schneiderlin and *Steven Davis. Hopefully, it will push me to be a better player and play as many games as I can this year. “We want to improve on last year. We proved that we can do it against the big teams.”

Fancy J-Rod to get on the scoresheet today.

Top pundit.

Have the same concerns. 442 doesn't seem to work for us, and didn't at all last season either. You would think that Osvaldo won't e left out either, and sure Rickie won't. Pochettino needs to find the right balance, but personally feel we need to stick with 4231 and J-Rod should play as he offers us something that noone else has, pace and direct running. Noone else really runs at anyone in our side.

We're at home yo!

Osvaldo or Lambert in midfield? Or 442?

-
Think it will be Boruc; Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw; J-Rod Wanyama Morgan Lallana; Osvaldo Lambert Pretty much the same as Norwich but Clyne and J-Rod in for JWP and Chambers. Would rather we didn't play 442 though again, didn't work vs Norwich.

Vague predictions can bite you on the arse.

Oh f*ck off you boring c*nt. -
Lol Di Canio is such an embarrassment. Would hate to have him at our club. Can't seen him lasting long there. We really should have beaten them.

Arsenal 3-1 up.
-
Benteke 1-1 Newcastle
-
Sunderland equalise from the penalty spot, spurs 2-0 up.
-
Gaston on £68k. Has been discussed on here many times. Be surprised if the majority are on less than £30k.

The Return of Tadanari 'Chun' Lee
Saint Garrett replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Yeah he's not very good. Just there to make up the numbers IMO. Won't be able to get rid of him, and therefore decided to give us another option. Certainly not the player to take us to the next level! -
So you agree that we should build a team round him and drop Osvaldo or Lambert to make way for him?
-
I think we should focus our game round him, drop Lambert and Osvaldo, and start Billy Sharp. Excellent idea.
-
Would expect WHU to line up as: -----Jaaskelienen------ Demel Reid Collins OBrien ------Noble-Diame------ Vaz Te--Nolan--Jarvis ---------Maiga---------
-
Sounds like Osvaldo and Rickie will carry on playing together anyway.

LIVE: Mauricio Pochettino's pre-West Ham press conference
Saint Garrett replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
It was about Greg Dyke and about youth in England. Liked the comment that it's players obligation to train, not to play. Very 'no nonsense don't mess with me' type of answer. He was asked how he keeps the whole squad happy not just the ones that play. He said he's close to speaking English in interviews. Lee has been brought back into the fold as Mayuka left and he was very professional in what he did.
