  1. Bought my tickets for this about 6 weeks ago, didn't even realise there was a family section...I hope we're not in it. Bonus that Rickie is in the squad and starting as never thought that would verge case when I bought them!
  2. Agree, plus I'm going tomorrow so would love to see him start!
  3. I don't think it would, no. Plus there was obviously a reason for not playing Shaw. Plus we played 442 against Norwich, Osvlado didn't play in the hole.
  4. Two assists? We've only scored 2 goals and one of them was a pen won by Luke Shaw?
  5. I'll just put up with the away end! Not a bad deal though !
  6. We had 3 strikers last year as well. Mayuka barely played and J-Rod played in midfield....Sharp was our forth striker last season and he went out on a season long loan.
  7. Probably asking for a ridiculous wage!
  8. My point was....why would we play 3 CB's at home? And play a different formation than anything we've played for a long time? Not going to happen!
  9. Eh??!?
  10. I believe that we have to include any player we have to fill the quota, even if we have zero intention of playing them....(see Barnard, Lee, Sharp, Forte, Martin) Southampton 25 squad players Player (Home Grown) Boruc, Artur (No) Clyne, Nathaniel Edwin (Yes) Cork, Jack Frank Porteous (Yes) Davis, Kelvin Geoffery (Yes) Davis, Steven (Yes) Do Prado Raymundo, Guilherme (No) Fonte, Jose Miguel (No) Fox, Daniel (Yes) Hooiveld, Jos (No) Lallana, Adam David (Yes) Lambert, Rickie Lee (Yes) Lovren, Dejan (No) Osvaldo, Pablo Daniel (No) Ramirez Pereyra, Gaston Exequiel (No) Rodriguez, Jay Enriqus (Yes) Schneiderlin, Morgan (Yes) Wanyama, Victor (No) Yoshida, Maya (No) Lee, Tadanari (No) Barnard, Lee James (Yes) Forte, Jonathan Ronald James (Yes) Martin, Aaron (Yes) Sharp, Billy Louis (Yes) Under-21 players (Contract and Scholars) Branker, Jamal Arron Christopher Britt, William David Chambers, Calum Clinton, Kyle Colmer, Fraser William Cropper, Cody Joseph Curtis, Joe Edward Debayo, Joshua Akinkunmi Demkiv, Daniel Steven Flannigan, Jake Gallagher, Samuel James Gape, Dominic Edward Gazzaniga, Paulo Dino Hesketh, Jake Alexander Higgins, Charlie Irvine, Mark Joshua Isgrove, Lloyd Jeffrey Isted, Harvey James Duke Johns, Christopher Patrick Adam Leggett, Thomas Jacob Little, Armani Mason, Niall Aadya McCarthy, Jason Sean McQueen, Samuel James Mells, George John Moore, Corby James Mugabi, Bevis Kristofer Kizito Nehemie, Isaac Reed, Harrison James Regis, Christopher Robinson, Andreas Sonny Rowe, Omar Reiss Seager, Ryan Paul Shaw, Luke Paul Hoare Sims, Joshua Samuel Sinclair, Jake Tony Stephens, Jack Targett, Matthew Robert Turnbull, Jordan Robert Ward Prowse, James Michael Edward White, James Steven St John Wood, William Nicholas Young, Matthew Robert
  11. 'Points system'....lol
  12. Went to Blackpool on loan when we were in L1 and they were in the Prem, then he want to QPR when we were in the NPC, then came back in January and was partially involved for the next few months and came on Vs Coventry when we sealed promotion.
  13. It's another reason why youngsters think they'll go for a big move, as if it doesn't work out they can just pop out on loan for a bit. If England picked players from less fashionable clubs, and also were only allowed to loan out players to leagues below them, you may see players like Rodwell, Sinclair, Chamberlain etc staying at their clubs or wanting to go somewhere where they will play.
  14. Clubs shouldn't be able to loan players out to the same league. They should only be allowed to drop down a level. Ie Prem to NPC or lower....Players from NPC only to L1 or lower, etc.
  15. I said I'd be tempted to play Hooiveld, despite him but I actually think Lovren will deal with Carroll. I'm not writing off Osvaldo and Lambert either, I just feel that 442 is a no no as we just don't suit it. Our players look lost when we try and play two up front - it didn't work last season, and I doubt it will work this season. As much as I love Lambert, I'm also not sure he's got the pace to trouble WHU. We need to keep the ball on the ground and move the ball quickly, the best way of doing that is by playing 3 attacking midfielders. For me the back 5 pretty much picks itself - only issue is Fonte or Yoshi. CM MP seems decided on. Rodriguez needs to play as he gives us an outlet and troubles the oppo with his pace. Lallana will play because he's actually had a decent start to the season, and he is our skipper. The decision is who starts up top - Osvaldo or Lambert, and who fills the other AM place, JWP, Gaston or Steven Davis.
  16. GS is just as much as a WUM as BS. Wouldn't be surprise if its the same person, seeing as though Glasgow used to be Bournemouth Saint, which has the same initials as Barry Sanchez.
  17. Don't want us to be forcing players in a team just because of who they are, and definitely don't want to see us playing 442 again.
  18. Need to get back to winning ways against these. They're going to cause us problems as we're not great from crosses/set pieces, but lets just hope that they see very little of the ball. One for Wanyama to start for me, to fight it out against Diame. Going to have to play in a very fluid way to get through them, as theyre a solid side. The donkey is likely to be back for this game supposedly, so thats their game plan sorted. Would be tempted to play Jos for this one, although he's not really been involved so far. As long as no injuries.... -----------Boruc------------- Clyne---Fonte--Lovren---Shaw -----Wanyama-Morgan------ Rodriguez---Gaston----Lallana -----------Osvaldo---------- Davis, Chambers, Yoshida, JWP, Cork, Lambert, Guly Would give Osvaldo a start with a bit of pace in behind in Gaston and J-Rod, full backs back to our best with some pace too. Would be nice to score a goal from open play too....!
  19. This for me, although Osvaldo and Rickie to battle it out up top for the starting spot. Harsh on JWP too, but the others are simply better players.
  20. For the same reason that Tadanari, Sharp and Chaplow have all had the same reaction.....they left/injured/out the team.
  21. Good post, fully agree. We were quiet on Saturday for no reason at all, hopefully the atmosphere will pick up now all the speculation has gone away.
  22. Will copy my post from TDD thread...... Absolutely superb window. Kept our best players and added in 3 top players. Squad is stronger. Now it's Pochettino's time to shine to get the best out of this hugely talented squad. GK: Boruc, Davis, Gazza RB: Clyne, Chambers LB: Shaw, Fox CB: Lovren, Yoshi, Fonte, Jos DM: Wanyama, Morgan, Cork, (JWP, Davis) AM: J-Rod, Lallana, JWP, Davis, Gaston, Isgrove, Guly, ST: Lambert, Osvaldo, (J-Rod) That's enough good options and a highly talented and young squad. Good balance of British/Foreign/Young/Experience, just need to find the right "team" rather than just trying to shoehorn the best players into the starting 11. COYS.
  23. Top signing by Arsenal, looking forward to seeing him play in the prem! Glad we've already played and beaten WBA, they'll be much better if then sign Lukaku.
