Forte is a success just for those 2 goals against MK Dons. He's not horrendous and came in to do a job for us.
Thing is a lot of the 'failures' cost bugger all, so the risk is a lot less. There aren't many that I'd say are a failure to be honest. Only ones which you could argue are Mayuka Gazza, and Gaston, all who are very young and Mayuka hasn't had a chance. Gazza looks ok, and will be a good keeper but wasnt ready for the prem, and Gaston has shown flashes of brilliance but will take time to adjust. Whether its longer than what we expected doesn't really matter, but he's clearly got massive talent and it's not like we wouldn't be able to shift him if necessary,
Majority of our signings in recent years were players who have come in to do a job or to give us alternate options to what we already had. De Ridder is average, but he did do ok last year and gave us pace, despite not being very good.
