1962 I think I read somewhere...

Absolutely no fight in that villa side whatsoever. Delph runs around a lot an tackles but he's just not all that good and in danger of getting sent off every game. Bent doesn't give a ****. Benteke is a handful but that's about it, very very wasteful.

Don't know if I'd want them to go down if Adkins joined them. Obviously if it's between us and them then them, but would want them to stay up if he went there I think

Boring so far

We brought on jay Rodriguez.

Surely Biglia just has a very active agent. He's linked with about 10 clubs per window!

Someone has outbid QPR for wages!? Never saw that coming! -

Was crap vs us at Upton Park. But clearly a good player to have and integral to WHU. Rumours have it Arsenal are interested but he is on big money at WHU - around £60k/week I heard. Could see QPR going in for him if they fail with M'Vila -
Depending on how close Lallana is and how much we're going to risk his fitness, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't bring anyone else in. With Mayuka also back within the next few weeks, it's not like we dont have any options.

Didn't mean that...just reread what I posted. Whats the cheapest way to get there via train?

Sounds a bit of a mess, and they will suffer if Diame leaves - his release clause is £3.5m or something. -

What a very very odd thing to look for. Why are they looking at just loans ? I don't understand their short term planning?! -
Dont have it bad do they. Interesting that Shaw said last week his most influential teammate was Punch, seems like they get on...hopefully both still going to be here next week. Wonder what happens with potential outward transfers if something happens? Also good to see Forren and Yoshi are bonding !

Apart from the friendly vs them, who has actually seen him play - especially competitively? I've not but Cork and Morgan are integrual to how we play. -
Yoshi and Forren I think, despite Fonte having a good season. Am I right in saying they're both around 24? Fonte as first back up and Hooiveld as 2nd. Suddenly we're looking pretty strong at the back!

True, but what I'm saying is that Cork and Morgan should be our first choice for atleast this season and hopefully next regardless of who we bring in. -
Don't get me wrong, we have some fantastic English players who are a very important part in our side. Shaw, Clyne, Lallana, Cork, Lambert, Puncheon are all good players at this level, and no doubt a few of them will represent England at some stage of their career. Seem to me - bring in some very good young English players with good natural ability (unlike the big quick ones which seems to be the norm in other clubs) and then fill the rest of the side with gifted foreigners to boost our globsl image.

Would be extremely harsh on Cork if he's dropped and we bring in Biglia.....What has Biglia done to prove he is so much better ? Cork has proved he makes a huge difference and him and Morgan have been playing alongside each other for 2 years now. -
His kicking is shocking for a keeper with his experience. His throwing is extremely good however.

Sounds an interesting watch!

Only time he has been mentioned is by Pochetino. Very odd. Does Cortese normally write programme notes? Did he last night? I know Lowe used to but I've not bought a programme in years. Also surprised Davis didn't mention him having been here in his most successful part of his career. Very strange, clearly been told everyone has to move on and not dwell on the past.

Clyne for me. Dealt with Baines/Piennar incredibly well (arguably the best left side in the prem atm)
-
Whats the quickest way to get up there? Coming back on the Sunday, so might just drive up from Basingstoke.
-
Ran around a lot, made him look good, could put a tackle in, but then what was the point when he just gave it away again. Always thought he was dreadful. Was good Vs Derby though.

Thought the atmosphere last night was pretty poor tbh, Rarely did it get going.
