Had a quick look at lunchtime, seemed to be quite a few in the Chapel/Itchen corner. I looked there as it's normally the emptiest place !

Shelvey hasn't done enough for me to be in the squad. Don't think he's all that. Sterling is a handy player and will do a job in the coming years. Pretty average squad though quality wise, lets hope it's got a bit more fight than the normal England bunch.

Anyone watched this Chicago Fire thats on Wednesdays on Sky Atlantic ? Have seen the first 2 and it's relatively interesting, not amazing though they're still introducing characters and personalities. One thing which I have got into is 'Trollied' on Sky1. Easy watching and quite funny. Must be written by the same people who wrote Early Doors because it's exactly the same kind of humour!

One of my close uni mates (bird) has just moved to Southampton, having lived in Sheffield for the last 5 years - originally from near Cannock. I'm going to meet up with her tomorrow evening after the game and was gunna go for some food and a few drinks somewhere. Where do people advise me to take her seeing as though she knows nothing about Southampton really. Ideally somewhere where you can sit and chill but also has some kind of atmosphere to it. Cheers

He is absolutely dreadful. I said in pre season if he even gets close to our bench then we have major problems. I still stand by that.

Wow. Fonte has been our best CB so far this season, Guly has done a good job when called upon, Davis is our one player with a lot of prem experience and although he was crap on Monday he's not been that bad at all, Fox or a 16 yr old ?!,

Maybe they're contractually obliged to withdraw.

He gives us a more physical presence in the side, he works his arse off, and was involved heavily in the best part of our season last year. Plus Nigel and the players who have been around a while know what they're going to get for him. You look at the bench and it's not like we have anyone that particularly stands out. Also has played pretty well everytime he's played this season. Instead of moaning about the players why don't you give them a chance, rather than writing them off and making up the fact that he's got it in his contract that he's got to play...?

Maybe because he offers somerthing to the team rather than us being contractually obliged to bring him on ?!

I have no problem with people having something negative to say, in fact I welcome it as it means people can have a discussion. But when it is constant and amongst multiple threads its just unecessary. If you were having a conversation with a group of people in a street, you wouldn't just carry on and on and on saying the same things over and over again would you ?!
