Noticed this a few times this season. We're certainly wising up to the Premiership.

Thing is though that happens all the time. If it was outside the box it probably would have been a foul. As it was inside the officials seem to think it needs to be assault to win a penalty. We're a small club in this division which makes it a lot less likely we'll get decisions. Just the way it is. They were abysmal yesterday, probably one of the worst group performances from the officials i've seen in a long time. **** refs, we always get **** refs...

Thought him and Fonte dealt with Cisse and Ba very very well yesterday.

Did he? All I saw of him was him saying they were knackered and had loads of players missing. Because of that our intensity was a lot higher than theirs but they had to put in young players who are in bad form.

Gaston just glides across the surface he's quick but can still control the ball. Our players have 'clever' pace rather than just 'raw' pace. It's little darting 2 yard movements and drops of the shoulder which create the space, along with how quickly we're moving the ball. You very rarely see one of our players just sprinting at full pelt over 20 yards. Change of pace is a lot more valuable than raw pace IMO.

Agree we should be concentrating on staying up. But you need some luck if you're going to make progress in the cup. We're not going to play the first team in all Fa Cup games, but if we get a few good draws and suddenly you're in round 5/6. Focus should definitely go on staying up though no reason why it couldn't happen.

Pardew did well for us, but glad things worked out how we did. Adkins has brought in a whole new philosophy to the club. As good a job that Pardew has done at Newcastle, he's never had a plan B.

Watched MOTD this morning. Why didn't they show the two penalty shouts that we had. Both looked pretty stonewall from where I was... What did others think? Also the offside goal was ONSIDE. Cracking finish from J-Rod though!

Really looking forward to this one as will a few of our players and NA. No reason why we can't go up there and get a result, but at the same time we need to concentrate on Norwich which will be a very tough game.

Were Antonio and De Ridder that popular ? Think they both did a job for us off the bench occasionally but they're both pretty poor. Antonio played for us for a small amount of time in League 1, scoring in a cup final, and De Ridder came off the bench a few times last season and had a good impact as they were complete alternatives to what we had at the time. They're both pretty awful footballers though and wouldn't and shouldn't get close to this side.

Think Lallana was trying to do Ramirez's job as well as his own when Ramirez wasn't fit. He was trying to be that link in behind Lambert in the middle and out on the wing, which meant he was out of position when the opposition was attacked. Last month he's been far more disciplined in his position, but also looks like he's loving playing alongside an in form Punch, a fit Gaston, and a consistent striker. No surprise that these boys are clicking now they've had the same side. Especially with the same CM's as well, it's all clicking.

Still a long way to go. Still need 3 points from Norwich. Progress is being made, and the defence is looking much more solid. The next few weeks are still huge though. We have a very tough January, and will have less home games in the 2nd half of the season. Get 9 points from the next four games and we'll be in a good place for the rest of the season.

Fonte MoM for me as well - especially considering how often the ball was coming at our CB's in the air. Thought he was fantastic.

Its the first time I've noticed replays at all. Can understand why the controversial ones aren't shown though.

Would imagine as the team is young and Davis has been around for ages it's worth having him In the squad.
