When I was a student in Sheffield I had my laptop stolen. We were having a 'pre drinking' session for someones birthday so there was about 30 people in the house. it was a terrace house which youhad to go round the back to get in as the 'front door' was a bedroom. Victorian house, but just been refurbed, so was all pretty much 'ikea'd'. Still had the big windows at the front of the house and my mates desk was in the window area. It had blinds down but someone must have done a pre scan and seen there was a laptop on the desk. Heard a massive smash and ran into the bedroom to see the laptop was gone and had been replaced by a brick! Being a crappy student house the 'front' door was locked and we didnt have a key, so legged it out the back door through the alley way and down the road, we could see him on a bike, nearly crashed into a car going the other way and sped off through the cemetry. Had a visit from the OB but didn'd find anything...shock! Had the old forensics round to look for fingerprints but the guy was wearing gloves. Apparently in that area there are hundreds of break ins or atleast attempts. Atleast that was the only thing that was stolen, but wasn't ideal that it wasn't insured !

When we got relegated from the Championship, we had an pretty awful league 1 squad. When we bought in a few players, they were probably top end L1 and bottom end NPC players. People slated Morgan and Lallana in League 1, and lets not forget the 'Lambert needs replacing' thread in our 2nd season in L1. They have improved no end since that day and they're probably mid table prem players. We've brought in some good talent in Clyne, J-Rod and Gaston, but our side is still a bit shakey. Let's not forget that when we were relegated to L1, Morgan and Lallana were both 18/19 I think...

Legend already no doubt about it.

I don't think we are amazing by any stretch of the imagination. I can however look at the positives from our performances and say we're not far away from being a side well capable of finishing 12-15th. As long as I see improvement I'm happy. If we were playing really badly, getting totally over run and not deserving a result out the games then yes I'd probably be closer to your thinking, but we're not. I've been to every game apart from Man City, Man Utd and WBA, and we're really not that far off. Maybe I'm just happy for us to be competing with these teams rather than struggling against Rochdale.... And atleast our players are really trying and playing for the manager. People moaned about us not buying any prem experience. I saw a group of players with hundreds of prem games between them on Saturday, and they we absolutely dreadful.

What can Adkins do to stop Clyne slipping over ? Fonte slipping over? Gazza's decision making. FWIW Gazza didn't **** about with the ball as much on Saturday and got rid when he needed to....improvement is what it's about and learning from mistakes...

Wonder if we'll see a best selling shirt article on the OS a few months later...

Second half Vs Spurs I actually thought we were very good after an awful first half. At Everton we bossed the game apart from the alst 20 mins of the first half. West Ham we were pretty much in control of the game but the first few minutes of the 2nd half we threw the game away. Wigan we were dominant but they hit us on the break, and then the 2nd goal came from Fonte's mistake. Swansea we deserved to beat. Fulham could have gone either way and we probably deserved to win that game I thought. On another day I think we could have quite a few more points than we do, but we don't do we. So the only thing we can do is crack on and get some points under our belts and Saturday was a great start.

We got promoted last season with half a league 1 side and some championship standard players. Why is it a shock that we would have to spend a lot of money to even compete in this league?!
-
A poor Spurs team which consisted of Bale, Lennon, Huddlestone, Defoe, Dempsey amongst others. Regardless of how 'poor' they are, their players are still better than ours. It's a learning curve isn't it when you dont have anyone who has played in the league together. Since we've been able to put out our best side we've got 4 points from 2 games. The only other time Ramirez was match fit he scored against a very good Everton side, but we were massively naive when we played up there, and we took the **** out of Villa 4-1. We've run City and Utd very close and when Arsenal click they can beat anyone in the world. Yes we were poor at West Ham and Vs Wigan, but I think we've dramatically improved since then. Surely having been to the games you can see that ? We're learning as a club, top to bottom, that includes the chairman, manager and players. As I said, if we go on a bad run between now and new years day, then ok maybe yuou have to look at it, but look at the long term rather than getting miserable about the past !
-
Worst or Naive? We've had a bloody hard start to the season. Normally when teams come up they carry their momentum into the first few months then just about struggle through and stay up. We're learning as time goes by and NA has shown he's learning. What will you moan about if we win our next 2 games? "...but..but...but we should have beaten Man Utd...." BLLAAAAAAHHHHH much better teams have been beaten by Man Utd in injury time, I'm over it.
-
Dont think the top teams are as good as they were last year, but I'd say the bottom teams are much better. The teams that went down last season were incredibly poor. Ok, Reading are pretty woeful and QPR are massively underperforming, but I'd say this year it's tougher to stay in the league.
-
Adding to what other people have said, we're really not that poor. Naive maybe, and not been good enough in the odd game, but we have played some great football and given it a good go despite individual errors throwing the game away. It's just idiotic to suggest that because Di Matteo won a trophy even though they got lucky and didnt deserve it, he would do better than NA here.

Hasn't Davis been in every matchday squad, despite not playing? Still think he plays a big part in our team despite him not being on the pitch. No surprise that when Gazza was dropped, Davis was on the bench, and when Gazza has played, Kelv has been on the bench. However wouldn't blame him if he wanted to leave and get some games although I wouldn't be surprised if he's quite happy staying and being a part of whats going on here.

Why do you hate Adkins so much? You constantly slate him on here. I'd rather keep a manager who has his players playing for him, playing some cracking football, and pretty much ideal for the job in hand, over someone who has just won the Champions League...yes as bonkers as that sounds. Ok if we do sh!it up until xmas, then maybe he should be relieved of his duties. but we shouldn't underestimate continuity.

I see they've sacked off listing games which you need to have been to and just put a number of aways. Should be going to this if transport can be sorted. Also worth noting that they have their 'neutral stand' which have already gone on sale on the Fulham website. http://shop.fulhamfc.com/events.aspx?section=eve&eventfilter=home

Something like this would be great. Plain, basic, good equal stripes. Without the royal blue though.

He never had pace though did he.

Beckham is a legend.

Why not? Positionally and technically he's probably still world class. Just his fitness that may be an issue. Wouldn't be able to play every game. Why not? Surely we have as good a chance as anyone.
