To be fair to Brett, a lot of Bretts 'assists' weren't the final pass but more the running he did off the ball to create space for others to shoot from or pull defenders out of position. I think you cant rate this as a striker really, but lets be honest, Beattie was only scoring a lot of goals when he was playing alongside Brett.

This is my view. IMO he's too similar to play alongside Morgan, and not better than him. Rather spend the money on a different type of midfielder. Are we even sure that this bid has been accepted, or is it just another press rumour ?

Just think that it is strange that I seem to remember last year he had nothing but good things to say about us and our board. Now he comes out with that? Wonder what has changed or whether a recent deal has fallen through or something ?

I think one problem is that there are many many saints fans, that won't read the local paper, or not be on this website. I know you are doing a fantastic job with this Mike and every Saints fan will be very thankful for that. But, for example, my dad, doesn't know anything about it. Is there any chance of it being publicised more with your detailsso people can contact you directly. Has anything been put on the OS/daily echo websites. Maybe even try and get something on the bbc saints page. Just feel it needs a bit more advertising and then the money would roll in.
