  1. That is funnier than you could ever realise. By the time I had stopped blaming my schooling for me turning out so thick, it was too late, I was destined to be a nothing and contribute nothing to society. I also realised that what my teachers and subliminally taught me, was to care about other people and value them. I didn;t realise that you were a teacher, so I sincerely apologise for any offence caused. can I please offer you one tip though. I teach (werll, sort of), and I have found it much more beneficial to those learning that I adapt to their 'learning style' as opposed to them adapting to my 'teaching style'. As a matter of fast I do also feel that whatever subjest one teaches, their is a moral duty to teach morals and values at the same time. Try it, you may start to see better results and be in a bettre position to take the credit AND the blame. You can't have it all waus my friend, it;s not all about presentation evenings and exam results.

thanks for clearing that up. I looked for the squad but couldnlt find it? having said that, if he was with us back then, even as a schoolbly, that bunch must have been a tremendous inspiration to him.
  3. I blame the teachers who have clearly failed in their duty of care that us parents entrust them with. There is a lot to be said for home tuition imho. At what age is it that we stop blaming 'the parents' and these morons become those self same 'parents' themselves. there are clearly many many exceptions, but come on! If teachers haven't got the skills to educate those who most need educating then what the hell are doing the job for?
  4. Serious tip for a company to invest in stevo. River Canal Rescue Ltd. RCR are the RAC of the inland waterways, which will imho see a big increase in popularity as we come out of recession. I think i'm correct in thinking that they have just bought up one of their competitors and their reputation is second to none in the Narrow Boat community. Sorry don;t know where you'd find their current price though.
  5. Eddie Waring? Justin Gladys?

Fair comment Zippo, I too had the usual "lost your razor" "shall I get my cat to lick it off" comments. Next time let it go for a few more days and it'll start to take shape, you can then start to sculpt it into something that makes a staement about the man behind it. It is a total falacy that men with beards are hiding behind them, au contraire my friend, men with beards are making a atatement about who they are and waht they are about. I think mine syas 'this man is an intellectual man, this man is confident and rightly so, this man is a magnet for middle-aged MILFs, this man is hamster' People like myself and George Michael can pull it off as we have well structured facial features that are enhaced, but I can see that if you already look a bit like a bench-sleeper a few day growth might just draw attention to the fact. I expect you don;t like getting noticed at the best of times. Like I say, give it at least a week then start trimming, people know that a man with a beard is actually a lot cleaner than the quick '****, shower, shave' merchants. Unlessd of course you Zippo are a tramp in man's clothing in which case, carry on mate.

  9. PES Before the flak begins can I say a sincere good luck to you and I too want to play you. Saints v Pompey is always the best test for either of us and we owe you one. Don;t care what league we are both in, bring it on. hamster

I've been growing my first ever beard and am getting quite atttached to it. I've noticed quite a few people growing them recently, is their a trend starting?
  12. One person I went with today had never been to a match before, she is hooked. Another hadn't been since we were at The Dell, he had the time of his life and can't wait to go again, he loved the singing especiallly the old stuff, in particular the slow OWTSGMI. A fantastic day at the office.
  13. Could be Five
  14. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Keep singing that please. Thank you Itchen North.

iirc he was also a member of our youth team that lost to (I think) Ipswich the other year in the 2 legged final. If I'm right, then fair play to the lad for hanging around and showing loyalty and above all patience. I know he gets put in the LB position, but isn't he a more orthodox midfielder? That could work well with Dan overlapping from behind him.

    No 1

The first two teams out of the hat become 'match number 1', the winners of that match become 'team number 1' for the next round draw.
  18. Why has Nigel Quashie not played any games for QPR this season? If he's just 'out of favour' hmbatdajfu?
  19. Very good trick indeed
  20. I highly recommend them, amazing hiw they can do this at such a low price! What ever could their motive be?
  21. Possibly that the company that prints the matchday programmes are owed a few bob and have threatened to not do another one.
  22. We could end up getting a bye!

Jonesuu, you misplaced the decimal point, it actually comes to an amazing £77,350. Have you reported them to the FSA yet? Here's their website: www.iamanidiot.gov
  24. Pompey have been ordered to play their next 2 home games behind closed doors as punishment for the riot that saw their fans rip out seats, invade the pitch and assault players and opposition supporters last week.
  25. I was walking through Pompey the other day and saw a Fratton season ticket nailed to a treee. I'll have that I said to myself. You can never have enough nails can you.
