Would it warrant a Saints Museum? Doesn't have to be open all week.

Competition: My advice to Alan Pardew is ...
hamster replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Attack - Steal Simeone Jackson from The Gills. They really do need the money to invest in their squad to avoid the drop and he would give us so many more options, not just from the start but also coming off the bench, we would have sucha fast team it would scare the pants off the opposition. He scores from anywhere and he will really shine with the AP touch and having the pressure taken off of him. -
Or Aldershot if we're not careful ;-)

Just outside the Horse, your gang turned right I turned left, You didn't smile back at me Steve! I'd have bought you a beer too. Maybe next time fella.

The Swan! Blimey I was in their just last night after visitung the FIL in Beedon. Owned by Hall and Woodhouse I think, but have to say they tricked me into having a pint of spud water called 'pickled partridge', I knew I should have gone for the trusty old Badger Best. Why do I always fall for their shameless renaming of tepid beers just to sell them off at the lead up to Christmas. Alas no more wooden barrels though, just a couple of pumps and racks of botled stuff. Anyway, nice pub, heating up full and very clean, I am sure they have just had a refurs as all the toilet doors had locks on and the hand dryer is one of those that sounds like concorde taking off. The other pub that 70's Mike speaks of is 'The Coach' at Beedon I think, formerly The Coach and Horses. It has just been re-opened after closing a while back. Looks nice but have been told by FIL that the food was not to his exacting standards, I will try it myself at some point though as local pubs rule and everyone should be encouraged to use them more imho.

According to their MOTM choice he was not as good as their stopper (Let 3 in and get a pat on the back for it!!!), much to my surprise I must say. Bart did a decent job and imo he has a great opportunity to make the shirt his own now. Spread the ball around pretty well and some quick thinking to set up some attacking moves, most importantly i felt that he played in a very relaxed manner.

Ah but the one far left has the nicest legs. Each to his own I spose.

Good shout, let's get some space age fabric that will enhance the teams performance and show off their talents, something like this: Obviously without the helmets, that would be silly.

I would be happy to hear "Number 46 (Southampton), will play at home to...Number 54 (Milton Keynes Don)" I hate them and their mere existence makes my bp rise by 2.4 points.

"Extendedd highlights" no less.

Can't you put them up for us? Easy on Youtube I think.

He recorded my mates song for The Saint, (Rudi, Rudi, Rudi). But my mate didin't like it so hired out a studio and redid it with a cameo appearance by a certain poster on here. Met Martin, nice bloke.

/\ Shouldn't think he'd mind seeing as he is a musician and has published saints songs using his 'stage' name. I can edit if you think I should though?

I remember back in the summer walking back to our caravan in Weymouth, I was conviced that we were watching the Red Arrows returning to base as these lights darted about across the horizon. As they moved overhead they one by one dissappeared. I stood there mouth ogape telling mrs h and the Grandkids that maybe they were UFOs. Some bloke walking past chipped in telling us that we were watching Chinese lanterns, over the next half hour we counted about fifty of the things. Very cool the first time you see them, even more so when ****ed (as I was that night).

Sorry but I've never understood this aversion, it's not a problem as far as I am concerned.

Isn't Mark Dennis a half decent golfer and ex team-mate of Kev's? Would he be up for it? Maybe try to get the whole ZDS team back together, that was such a fantastic day in so many of our lives, made special for me by that amzing leaping headed goal. Kevin Moore LEGEND.

That's exactly how Little Budha work their buffet Sev. You get to order 1 starter each which get placed in the middle for sharing. If you finish one just ask for another of the same or another off the menu. As long as you more or less clear the dish yuo can order more. same for 'mains' adding your rices and sides etc, Their crsipy seaweed is to die for too; crispy (not all are) savoury and sweet all at the same time. Pancake rolls mmmmmm.. Shredded Duck with Hoi Sin sauce mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........... Although Kachina gets an extra point for the decor, it loses on quality of food inho and definitley does not warrant the extra cost. One thing all Chinese restaurants could do better on is to get some decent bottled ales in. It should be the law, but if you do venture into Shirley and fabcya decent pint go to Wetherspoons first, they have a couple of beauties just now due to over ordering for thewir recent beer festival all at £1.69 iirc. I recomend the 'Hole In The Wall' for a nice hoppy burnt choclatey taste with nice warm yeasty aftertaste.

We ended up in the Horse and they were a very friendly bunch, not bad service considering it was 2 or 3 deep at the bar and the most succulent sirloin steak I have eaten this year. Shame the bouncers were stopping most saints fans from entering as it was genuinely friendly. The beer? Well, I do like to sample the odd local brew but they had Old Speckled Hen so I can't complain as it's a pretty reliable pint if not that quaffy. 7/10

It's only £3 to park at the ground so you could park up jump on a 22 bus* and taxi or bus* back from the town centre. Sixfields is a piece of p to get to too, just follow the A43 under the M1 and it takes you right to it. *Number 22 at 14, 34 and 54 minutes past the hour from Sixfields into town and then 18, 38 and 58 minutes past big shopping centre in town back to Sixfields. A 10 minute journey.

If you don't mind NOT being in the city centre, then I feel that not many can touch (Pilgrim House excepted) Little Budha in Shirley Excerpt rom Touch Southampton: "We visit the Little Buddha on a regular basis and have always been thoroughly impressed. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are friendly, helpful and the service is very timely. The menu is vast and although there are conditions stated on the menu regarding how much you can order at once, I have never known them to enforce them (we usually order 8-9 starters for the two of us). It is very good value and the best Chinese I have visited in Southampton (which is quite a few!) We're visiting this evening and can't wait! As Fred Pontin would say "Book Early" ;-)
