I would be interested to now if the interviews of Garry Bushell and Ann Widdecombe were library ones or filmed for the programme. Anyone know?

I'll ask my nipper tomorrow, he will know someone local to Segensworth if that helps.

I dream of standing up in the new Wembley Stadium and singing OWTSGMI. It is soooo much beter sung slowly without a shadow of a doubt.

I seem to remember seeing When The Wind Blows at Easteligh Town Hall, the old one (now The Point). I am sure it was around '82, but this says '86: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EbsrJuAoQo&feature=player_embedded Part 2 is a must see if you remember it from the first time around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cOpBGM-0Nc&NR=1 This really was the bull**** that we were fed! Amazing! I refer to the info that the 2 people were referring to, not the actual film btw. btw, the old nuclear bunker is still theer at the Chilworth roundabout I believe, now it's some workshop or something.

I too agree that god Save The Queen can (on occasion) lack that 'je ne se qua', but when the occasion calls and those performing it play it with true feeling and those it is intended for are thinking of Queen and Country not much comes close in my humble opinion. ie Our armed forces and Olympians: http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/royalmarines/royal-marines/national-anthem

I think the Royal Engineers did it pre 1900. Some might say they a were the foundation for The Gills, but that is not really true iirc as The Gills started as New Brompton. However, The Royal Engineers DID develop a passing style of playing that we now know as the 'Beautiful Game', before then the game was predominantly a game of dribbling with the ball and shooting at the first opportunity

I had a dog once who got arrested for jumping over a fence into a farmers field and ****ging a cabbage. In his defence he told the jury that he had mistaken it for a collie. I thank you.

I concur Pancake, stevo does source some exceedingly good computers at very very good prices too. Never got that webcam working though stevo and couldn't install the driver to adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad.

I don't pray for myself though, or maybe in a roundabout way I do. You're not going to try to make me look silly here I hope? In all honesty I am quite new to this praying business and am not qualified to explain something that (as a few have already tried to explain, and much more eloquently than I could) has required a massive leap in 'faith' on my part, I would go as far at this point as to call it 'blind faith' actually.
-
Ah, yes I do. I do now anyway. Please don't ask who/what I actually pray to as I could not, hand on heart, tell you the answer.
