..and waxed cotton. A side note which ties in with the 'southampton remebered' thread. There was an army surplus store at the bottom of Bevois Valley, that is wear I got my 'biker's leathers - Ex German Army jackboots and a pair of German Air Force grey leather gauntlets. I must have looked a right plum but golly they were warm and made to last. Went well with the handlebar muffs on the CB200 I can tell you. -

I'm guessing that 100bhp is quite a high power to weight ratio then? Certainly sounds like a lot for a 650. Question - CX650 or a Moto Guzzi 650? If they cost the same and not allowed to choose for the marque as that would be too predictable. Purely on spec, comfort and build and of course POWER -

Wilkommen. Is that a GSX1100? Woweeee. The sort of monster that would wake up the neighbours, and break your leg if you dropped it. I like. You may continue....for now. -

Darn it, I was saving a CX500 Sport oc that I founs for the mid range! This one: I know I'm a bit obvious with my choices due to the limited time that I was a 'biker' so apologies for that. A lot of bikes that I wanted were from that old book I mentioned, but the ones I actually rode (mostly pillion) obviously made me so jealous that I never let it go. The CX above is a bit diffrent though as my friend bought a CX like yours, like the majority, I didn't qute take to it but iirc they revealed themselves to be bulletproof tourers that were really comfy and reliable. A very sensible bike. Then came the CX500 Sport and I was smitten, I used to think that if I could pass my teast and get one of those lovelies I would be the envy of all serious bikers. maybe a bit deluded in that but the wheels are better, the seat is better and the styling was moving towards the 'euro' style that I admired so much in BM's. I'd still have one today, and in white to make car drivers think it might be a police bike coming up behind and move out of my way. Is it fair to now make the leap to 750's (and under if you like *XJ's) * see i do know a little bit about bikes. -
Did you just do a random search pof youtube for "****e Music"?

Good link Pancake, Hope you don't mind me offering a way to do it in laymans' terms? Do your standard search ie "Raleigh Chopper". When the results appear, click on a category, in this case "Transportation". When the page re-loads scroll down. (1 x Page Down" should do it). You will see on the left hand side a section titled "Preferences" The second option here is "Show Only" which has 2 sub-categories, you need to show the second one named "Completed Listings". The page reloads with recent completed listings rather than current items. Note that you do need to be logged in to search completed listings and rememebr that the ones highlighted RED, did not sell! Another handy tip if a seller states that they will consider "OFFERS", is to view their "Other Items" and check that "completed listings" box, the lowest price that they will accept will be revealed to you, and there's nothing to lose by offering slightly less. HTH

St Will, this is what you need to do. Buy your 1/2 season tocket. When you buy it, request the option of a FREE 1/2 season ticket (with every adult) for a fictional nephew and when you need to take a mate/girlfriend they simply sit in your 'nephew's' seat voila. Added bonus that when we get to wembley, you get " tickets and sell on eon tp recoup your initial outlay. That last bit is a joke, before I get jumped. You might even consider taking some young'un and in 30-40 years time they will be on SWF telling everyone how their fave uncle took them to their first ever saints match. It happens.

Anything is possible in this game LTC, I always believe that we can and will win every game 4-1. Re the FA Cup, the gods have looked quite favourably on the smaller clubs in recent yeras too. Pompey, Millwall, Cardiff, and others have gone really close too. By the way, my maths ain't brilliant, but i'm pleased to say that it is not as bad as yours: http://www.betcalc.com/accacalc.php

Joking aside Gaffer, I am sure i read somewhere that he was there, Nicola that is. I know that certain 'others' were talent spotting, but there were other people there who were suited and booted, check the video out.

Will, I have two dogs, a pug (18 months old) who is a pain in the arse and is utterly un-tranable and a Yorlie (17 years) who has been poorly for some time, she is a part of the family (yeah i know, it's a naff cliche) and we know that the 'time' is coming when we have to say goodbye to her. she is laid next to me right now and is so sweet. About 3 years ago, I took our little mongrel wallace to the vet as she was genuimely in pain witha tumor on her chest. I cannot begin to tell you what a sad day that was for the whole family, I will never forget the way she looked up at me just before closing her eyes for the last time and I will never forget the last time I took her for a walk a week earlier. People who have never had pets do not understand it, thay can never understand it, but I know that if you own a dog then you will love your dog as I love mine. This is a 100% genuine heartfelt message to you and I am sorry that you are going through this right now. It is qute weird but there seem to be so many people going through crap right now, but these things are what make us human and we need to recognise our emotions for what they are, they are what make us us. Hope you get to walk your dog many more times will, if he or she is not too porly why don't you share a bit of 'man and his dog' time tomorrow? Good luck hamster PS That IS advice.

I am told that a pocket sprung matterss with a memory foam topper is the best combination. If you go to try some out do not look at the price tags, do a 'blind' test. And do nt allow one of the assistants to show you around is also my advice. Kick off your shoes and lay on a few beds, score them out of 10, then check the prices. Also, if you have a partner, you can bet that unless you are both the same height and weight as each other, you will have to settle for a compromise, so lay it on really thick with her/him that your back is killing you, thus you get to choose the bed. Voila

Wow indede, and I am not sure that that will help tbh. some good points though, but could be aimed at many on here, it's quite sad really.

On right now - BBC2 SUBTLE I don't think Grayson Perry will mind me drawing attention to this, and may start legal proceedings if this gets locked. Very entertaining imo.

Okay, i was a wee bit out. Is it £1,304,835? If so I am gonna chuck a quid on it and settle for just paying off the mortgage, buying a Honda 400FOUR buying a narrowboat and banking the change for a rainy day "Ayrton" Senna = Tenner? I like that.

That Triumph, I like it. I would have considered a Bonneville when we had got to the bigger bikes but don't need to now as you've nailed that one. I never knew they made a 350, looks and sounds great, I googled it actually and am I safe to assume that it was respected as a biker's bike? I read that the '90' referred to the top speed, sounds like just my kinda bike. The Moto Morini looks familiar as well, I live not far from the Uni so maybe that explains it. theer was an MV Augusta in the 70's too which had a small to mid engine in it. My memories aren't that clear but I dod remember geting a book about bikes one Christmas and used to drool over every page under my duvet night after night. There are two words I would like to throw at you at this point SL and I hope I'm not usurping one of your nominees for the later stages of this bike-fest. LAVERDA JOTA. An orange one for me please? I think we are at the sub 500cc area now? I had made up my mind on this years ago and nothing will change my mind. Honda CB400 FOUR Super Sport, a blue one (the colour is v important). can't find a decent pic atm though. Having peeked on Ebay, I am really shocked at how cheap you can get on 2 wheels on what appear to be pretty decent little bikes, many under £500, not that I can spare £500 right now. You never know SL, I may well be menacing car drivers again one day!! Over to you fella, what;s the next size? -

Just one thing before I read the whole post SL, who are you talking to in that sentence? It's just you and me in here. Unless Derek Acorah just walked in. -
Who was the chap who popped up a few months back (maybe even lasy year) when people were asking for your oldest Saints memory? He'd watched games pre-war I think and gave some really interesting accounts of the old days supporting the team
