  1. /\ Oh no? http://www.brighthouse.co.uk/products/home-entertainment/televisions/televisions.asp I must add that someone must be really crap at math and/or very desperate to impress their mates to pay that for one though.
  2. Can anyone confirm where Grant Holt will be playing next season? He's still listed on the Shrewsbury site, and that telegraph list, but wiki says he's at Norwich. I reckon he's one to watch as he enters the **** or bust period of his career.
  3. No, deffo Monday: http://www.eastleigh-fc.co.uk/poster.htm TEN QUID!!!! Bloody hell!!! You could have watched Ajax in a real stadium for that. Who the hell do they think they are ffs?
  4. Not nearly as good as this classic snap.
  5. Agreed, but we have more students than Oxford nowadays and they have a lot of time to kill. They would get hard just just thinking about *it. "it + showing solidarity with their Tianamnan soulmates.
  6. Glad you said that, as I had initially read it as £229 (didn't see the +VAT price). I did secretly have it down as a fave choice (thinking £70 in beer tokens). Right techy question coming up: What does 'dual core processor' mean and should I care? In answering please assume that you are talking to a middle aged half-wit. While I am at it, is it noticeable if you have a 1.66, 2 or 3 Ghz thingybob?
  7. I reckon it was a case of people sussing each other's tactics out more and more recently, and as the Big Barce pointed out, both teams tend to be concentrating more on defence and realise how sapping it can be to run around like Newcastle every week. Note how few injuries, aches and sprains we are getting. I for one have stopped trying ro keep up with you kids and have a little lol every time someone screams at us to "GET BACK" (you know who you are). Don't want to over analise it, but even though there are definitely less goals going in, there are more people having a go, even I had about 4 or 5 cracks. Saad really worked his arse off I thoiught, up front with Mini Me they were a good pairing.
  8. Who was this 'special guest' then? fwiw, I thought it was a bit laboured today, and was glad to get between the sticks for the last 20 minutes (clean sheet too - yay), especially pleased that we weren't palying that silly 'hand ball outside the area' rule (that's for kids). Also pleased to be on the wiining side again too.
  9. Cheers Steve, I promised myself to keep within my budget so the bottom one is a no go. The other doesn;t list a webcam. See PM please.
  10. Ad says it has a webcam right at the bottom of the page. Good choice already I am impressed fellas.
  11. /\ I like it, hoiwever it is not PINK, nor can I see a webcam and that screen is a tad small. Than ks all the same, but F A I L
  12. Anyone know if The Spitroasts have got a game tomorrow evening? Thought I'd ask as I have nothing on and may pop down there for a pint and a pasty.
  13. /\ I actually sit fairly close to the visiting monkeys, I am taking a decent camera to get some decent crying and fist-waving pics of them all.
  14. /\ you can say that again ESB, you can say that again my friend.
  15. Sky curse my armpit! This is Millwall we are playing, they will roll over and die. In my house we are only -7 already. btw I have a family of 4 Millwall knucklehead relations staying at mine especially for it. I am so looking forward to this match.
  16. Hi Sue, do you know "the piano's on my foot"?
  17. And you could have an awesome fund-raising concert on that common, Joe Jackson could headline. What local talent would you like to see there, who are your famous supporters? You ain't got a Lucy that's for sure?
  18. /\ It ain't necesarily so Spades, it ain't necesarily so. Are you familiar with the phrases 'needs must', and 'necessity is the Mother of invention'?
  19. Hi folki, End of next week (pay day) I need to buy a laptop for Mrs h (it is to be a little surprise for being my princess). I know it's a very tight budget, but due to other unavoidable outgoings I have to stick to a buget of only £300 (yeah, laugh it up). I know there are deals to be had just by Googling, but I am aware of the amazing wealth of expertise on here, so please go do your stuff SWF'ers. For that money I am fully aware that I am not going to get her a state of the art box of tricks, but if you can for a monent put yourself in her shoes (Size 3, before anyone asks) and stick to this brief. She does a lots of general surfing, e-baying and e-mailing She downloads and plays silly little games, definitely not into modern resource sapping ones though. I reckon she's currently got about 10GB of music that I'd like to transfer onto the new one. We use free security software so no requirement for bundles I have *cough* MS Office so no need for that either. REQUIRED: webcam built in Wifi SD Card slot Very good battery life (spare would be nice) OS - Toughy this. Although I am willing to learn to use that Linux one, I would prefer to have Vista onit for her. Main factor here is if the cost saving. DESIRED: Largish screen Pink (only joking) I have seen refurbs on offer (cheers stevo) but I really do want a decent warranty. Thanks in advance, I have every faith in you. One final thing, if you reckon that certain specs are more important than others please explain why as although I work in IT I am pretty thick when it comes to what's inside the things. Final, final note. I will be paying CASH and will not be taking out finance EVER again (been there, done that). xx hamster
  20. I am a yes now, and would like to start in goal for either 10 minutes or until first goal goes in please. Could be a +1 (won't know until 5 mins before though.
  21. Correction to earler post, they are Blue dot apart from the 4 which is Black dot. Here's a chart for anyone interested: http://www.ping.com/pdfs/PING_Color_Code_Chart.pdf I'll have them up on e-bay shortly. I have just discovered (like a ****) that the numbers don't all match so will sell them probably as seperates, as true oficianados want matched sets. Price? I know this will sound really annoying, but I will let e-bay decide unless of course someone makes an offer that really catches my eye in the meantime. I am not expecting top dollar though at this time of year in a recession. The beauty of the BeCu's is that they are a great investment AND a lovely club to play with for all standards of player. I kow it's an over-used cliche but in the case of BeCu's it is 100% true. You won't find a single bad review for BeCu's, you really won't (cue some bonk finding one now!). hth hamster
  22. olympics 2012 - are we still sucking up to the Chinese team hoping they will stay at the DeVere and train up the sports centre? There could be some awesome demos and protests in and around the Bargate.
  23. Fergie is the best in the country and has been for years. When he speaks the world listens, and you don't get that reaction by being second best. The day that he walks away from the Man U bench will be the eve of a whole new era in the Prem world, it would be sooooo unfair on the rest of us if they fin d a natural replacement, but I wouldn't bet against it. I lean towards someone like Gordon Strachan or David O'Leary, but would not be one bit surprised to see his nipper take the hot seat corrying on the dynasty with Dad upstairs in some pivotal role ala Bobby Charlton.
  24. So regarding your pending failure of Saints proportions, who do the rank and file blame? Serious question.
