  1. Corp Ho : "As for The Dell averaging 95% capacity, we may get the odd **** crowd at Fratton like on Saturday (there's always the odd game where there's a low attendance for some reason - remind me which club holds the record for the lowest ever Prem attendance - whatever the reason may have been)" It's Wimbledon. HTH
  2. Oh please no ! Have had dealings in a work capacity. He never let ignorance of the facts stand in his way in having an opinion on something.
  3. Having tried to think the matter through for myself and looked at the definition of "Club" again for the umpteenth time it could clearly be "drafted better" and is at best ambiguous. Quite what a court would decide is anyone's guess but it totally clear the matter is far from free of doubt and this would appear to be borne out by the lawyers for Begbies and for Pinnacle. However, my judgement is clearly totaly addled as I am discussing such matters on a football supporters forum at almost 11 pm !
  4. I am not sure how you can effectively say (if you are) that the regulations are deficient and bombproof at the same time. I also think you are reading in in too many assumptions about what constitutes the "Club". Also, I thought it was accepted knowledge that a QC acting for the Administrator thought we were 70% likely to succeed with an appeal. I think its arguable either way and would tend to agree with the 70% view
  5. I might accept 2 but, being a solicitor, I would be interested in the legal technicalities as to why 1 is viewed as correct?
  6. Yes - used to be the table footie which is now outside whch I am sure cannot be very good for it !
  7. Oh dear forgot to "muti-quote" - I mean the Alex
  8. We still go there - nine times out of ten we grab the table nearest the gents !
  9. Pretty much my view. Legally "proof of funds" and "financial guarantees" could be quite distinct - alternatively they might amount to the same thing!
  10. At last ! Not only pragmatic but technically legally correct IMHO.
  11. Personally I dont think Shearar's heart would be in it. He would always be looking in a North Easterly direction. Perhaps more importantly I am not sure he is that inspiring either motivationally or tactically.
  12. Cheers - I was probably being oversensitive anyway. Well done with all your efforts !
  13. Excuse me - but how do you conclude from the perfectly innocent question I asked that I had not "grasp[ed] the message?!
  14. Whilst it would appear that LC has made a bit of a gaff its not going to affect the technical legal argument so I don't think he has infact made it worse. I liked the bit from Mark Fry about this now being decided at the appropriate intellectual level !
  15. I thought KD and Euell had foregone their wages - or was that just a rumour?
  16. My thoughts exactly. I would not have pledged £5k if I thought these organisations would be involved as well. SISA - 5 members. That's a 150% exagerration surely. Do Lawrie and Leon realise not realise what they are dealing with?
  17. Has sort of happened - last year Cardiff away tickets were free to those who had been to Wednesday and/or Preston
  18. It won't help you now but for future reference* booking trains as far in advance as possible is a good idea. I have a got a return for around £40 (potentially could have got it cheaper if I had got my finger out) *looking on the bright side !
  19. ...... or in my case from my credit card, although slightly concerned as Sheff Wed ticket not yet made an appearance. You can de-select up to 4 games a year. I think at one point there were over 70 away s/t holders but I think there are now less than 10 !
  20. Simple solution - become an away ST holder !
  21. Has he said elsewhere that he has not been before this season? He did not say so in his post on this thread.
  22. He doesn't need me to big him up but GM knew this ! I, along with many others, got carried along on the ABL argument, whch I now feel slightly embarrassed about.
  23. Is this a reference to Rupert Lowe or Saints fans - or both?
  24. I must be getting old as I was embarrassed by some of the Saints fands today. For example, next to me there were 3 adults and one child (about 8 yo). The child was "****" this and "Cvnt" that and the adults were doing nothing and even encouraging him. One of the adults kept shoving into me and was virtually standing in my seat at one point. I don't think he was doing it deliberately - he was just thick. I moved in the end (after vowing to myself that I would not!)
  25. Up until 1938 we had blue shorts in our home kit.
