  1. The EDL were predicting 10,000.... They didn't quite make it, what a shame  There are some very strange people in that lot http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/gallery/2011/feb/05/english-defence-league-protest#/?picture=371461384&index=1
  2. buctootim, youve made a bit of arse of yourself.... stop digging
  3. Football clubs have a binding obligation to publish their club charter on their official website....... It is therefore reasonable to assume for the months we didn't we were not actually a football club?
  4. Ah Phil - whilst you are on line. The administrator is now saying that al farage or what ever his name is definately existed as he interviewed him Do you think he will turn up anytime soon
  5. Give it time Um.... Give it time And I trust the silk scarfs were tied around your wrists (Not sure that reads the way it was meant)
  6. When I was a nipper, I travelled with some older guys to all the away games. Having been given the long and graphic history of the "Red and White Scarf" on how many grounds, victories emotions and countries it had witnessed, it would then be flown out of car window on the way to the game. Away trips can be tiring and this come sometimes cause forgetfullness............ So Mr Western I am sorry that I opened the window on the M1, i was just after some fresh air.
  7. There really isn't an answer out there that will appease both sides of the fence and ultimately that's the sad thing to all of this. Coretse has come at this with a clean brush and nothing is off limits.....absolutely nothing. The bullish, hard nosed, balls of steel, fook the world if they don't agree, persona acheives great results in some cases (Like screwing up 10 million pound offers and binning them) but can also manifest itself into inappropriate, unnecessary and petty arguments in another. I think we've seen examples of both and would add that I think in the long run, Cortese will be successful and deliever us back to former glory, but the benchmark of where we strive to be, was built by the very people he is alienating. They are part of what he bought.
  8. JUst follow Chris OBees template. Perfect CV
  9. It's one thing to kick a man when he is down, but it is a completely different ball game to unleash the jackson on them after the 18 months they have had. You see.... even I started to feel sorry for them......enough already.
  10. BTF It is a thing of beauty..... He only mentions two Yachts / boats and spells one of those incorrectly. I can't wait until he is wheeled out on tele again. Has anyone got the clip from the last time he was taking over at Bournemouth? Pure gold.
  11. Warning please put your drinks down Ok hold on tight.......the company in talks with the skates is Convers group.... Convers Group Holdings, through representatives (IBASE Ltd), have, for the past seven weeks, been attempting to engage with Eddie Mitchell and his board with regard to purchasing AFC Bournemouth and all its assets Read more: http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=204072#ixzz1DMl91O1T Ibase ltd http://www.ibaseuk.com/ The one the only lifelongSaint, lifelongcherry and now lifelongpompey.... Mr Marc Jackson. Forget the monkey petting zoo, were talking real life fish tickling a pound a go. They will be the richest club in the World soon. That has just made by day :lol:
  12. Yesterday http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/local/east-hampshire/could_a_russian_banker_be_eyeing_up_football_club_1_2387870 Pompey say they have had no approach from Mr Dubov or his partners. Chief executive David Lampitt said: ‘I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever about Mr Dubov. I have not been contacted by them. Today http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/bygone-blues/we_are_in_talks_to_buy_the_club_say_russians_1_2390431 POMPEY’S chief executive David Lampitt has confirmed that talks have taken place between Russian businessmen who want to buy the club and its current owners. Rumours surfaced over the weekend that Roman Dubov and his banker business partner Vladimir Antonov were looking to buy the Blues. Last night Mr Lampitt confirmed that Pompey’s owners have spoken to the men – but could not reveal exactly what discussions had taken place. I fear that Mr Lampitt is getting a little confused and has been dragged in to "I must lie" syndrome that seems to effect them all down there. Anyway good luck to the blue few with this lot, all above board i'm sure.
  13. I think it might also be the 1,500 tickets they give free to local schools, but doesn't seem like the kids are interested.
  14. Whilst I think it is sad that there isn't a better relationship and acknowledgement of our former players, Cortese has a single focus and won't be distracted. In one instance that has him binning 10 million pound offers without reply and the next is upsetting former greats and removing the right for them to use the logos etc. As in life, we have to take the rough with the smooth and as testing and unpalatable as some of his decisions are, we know what his goals are and whatever your thoughts on him are, there can't be many that don't think he will acheive them............. Which is very good news for all Saints fans, because that means success for the club.
  15. It didnt mention that it needed two years worth of parchute payments to acheive that, but as they wont have any players soon at least the overheads will have come down
  16. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/lifestyle/tn2-saturday/a-weekend-with/pompey_probe_to_focus_on_former_owners_1_2388773 Is it me or has android dropped of the face of the planet. So anyway they are going after the owners, who are liable for any monies spent after the point of trading insolvently........ That could be a long time ago.

  19. The first thing that struck me when I was reading the book was whether Adam the author, was in fact deppo from the forum. Thanks for clearing that up and good luck with the next edition
  20. The only statement I am aware from the family and the Mali web site is; "He died after a short illness" I would politley suggest that the heart attack cause is a load of bollcoks. Looking back at some of his pictures (No offence to be taken) he looked a little yellow, which would suggest Liver problems, but i am not aware of any cause ever being given.
