  1. Having read this article, I think it is more of a case as "when" rather "if", the blue few will be relegated or indeed wound up. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/bygone-blues/cotterill_facing_19_player_summer_exodus_1_2351767 Meanwhile, it could be the final Fratton season for the likes of David Nugent, right, John Utaka, Danny Webber, Hermann Hreidarsson and Michael Brown, as well as the five loanees. That will leave Cotterill with only Hayden Mullins, Jamie Ashdown, Ricardo Rocha, Aaron Mokoena, Tal Ben-Haim, Joel Ward, Kanu, Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence for next season. There will be no transfer fees for the top set and the wages of those who are left, will prevent any significant numbers being bought in, even on loan. The "quality" over "quantity" argument has come back and smacked them in the face. The four lads in waiting to hear whether they will get pro contracts are now dead certs to be playing next year. I bet sc is glad he shipped out all the other talent for not being good enough. On a lighter note, I think "SC" on his training top is quite apt. Regardless of his name, it identifies him clearly; sc = Stupid *****" Caption competition from the picture in the link? cotterill has just been told Liverpool rejected his 250k bid for Torres

  3. Just returned from Jerusalem and it is actually a holy city for Musilms as well, in fact the Jews most sacred place is now a mosque (of sorts)
  4. Utter utter rubbish. Didn't like the man, didn't rate the man and didn't want him here, but every player sold went for top dollar and that was down to lowe.
  5. I'll take a tenner Houllier. Cotterill: That ***** houllier told me the lad was pure quality and Villa would even pay half the wages. He was ****e, didn't have a clue, the lad was clueless and when he fooked up for the second goal, him and that little ***** cifti who was on the bench, ****ed themselves laughing. I'm not having it, I want answers (And 5 more players). Anyone got that tosser Houlliers mobile number,
  6. I know in December that they were also giving 1500 tickets to local school kids. Not sure if they are still doing it in January, but the attendances will only go down from now. Sheffield Utd, Ipswich and Boro all below them and all capable of getting out of trouble. I thought they had done enough this season to stay up, now I am not so sure. This could be a double bubble end to the season.
  7. Your digging a hole.... he was on the money Guly Benali Dave Jones
  8. Well if it is Left Back then we should all be very worried. He was pretty much 100% accurate with all his posts and predictions. But for the record, I don't buy it and I don't think it is Leftback. If Cortese was under pressure from the family, then outside of his PA, no one would know about it. This is just someone (Forwhatever reason) ****iester stiring. However. Just bare in mind that Marcus paid somewhere between 11 & 13 million for lock stock and barrell and is just about to realise 10 milllion on a single player (And one i doubt knew existed at the time of purchase). However the relationships work with the family and whatever their commitments and plans are for the club, they will almost certainly be a whole lot more interested this week than they were a month ago.
  9. I take it back.... a very credible premiership loanee (I just hope Villa are still paying him) http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2275972,00.html
  10. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Starlet-wants-out-of-Blues.6701619.jp Sinking ship... even the youngsters are turning them down. Now what would be really funny is if he was joining us.
  11. And the fact that left back told us two months ago
  12. I'm sure you would steve.... i'm sure you would Settle Regarding Norris, Cotterill added: "A central midfield player would probably fit into the team quite nicely. "I would like three permanent signings and two loan signings so there are five players I would like to bring in. "But I would settle for four."
  13. Im ******* sure that arsenal do want it as 5 million plus add ons. If we have to lose the player, then we do it on our terms, not theirs and that is the big difference to where we have been in the past.
  14. Thats how wenger positioned it when he took Walcott and refused to let him stay on loan. I would also question how many of those loannee players have a long term future at the club and the reasoning behind sending them on loan ....i.e to offload them. Having said that very happy to be wrong if we get to keep Chambo here on loan any other rising stars they might have.
  15. Thats not wengers way and looks like the only hold up in the oxo deal. Wenger wants them trained the Arsenal way and for them to be the only ones coachinging them tactically, physically and mentally.
  16. It will be interesting to see how Nicola gets on with the negociations, although the likelyhood is we won't get to find out all of the details, may be just the headline fee. For his many many faults, I was always confident that lowe got or would get the highest price possible for the players we sold. This is essentially Nicolas first big "Sell" and with North london yobbos as well
  17. I never thought for one minute that we would get close to 10 million for him, but it looks like i was wrong. How crazy has football become. However. If a third of those funds are made available for other players we can be a stronger team without oxo and still have a wedge in the bank. Question Cortese on other things, but not this. As a business deal, this could be one of the best he has ever made. Cash in, strengthen and move on.
  18. The best fans in the world had to cancel their protest on Saturday, due to lack of numbers. Now the club want to stop message boards being the vehicle to arrange any more. Portsmouth Football Club have serious concerns with regard to the content of some message boards that feature on various fans forums associated with the club. Portsmouth Football Club will not tolerate threats towards members of its staff nor will they accept any threat that is likely to cause any financial loss or point deduction as a result of actions of any of it's supporters. As the moderator of your site, we request that as a genuine supporter of this club, any persons making any threat towards staff or threatening any course of action eg pitch invasions, inciting violence etc are brought to the immediate attention of the football club. We request that the full details of such a person are disclosed to the club with the identification of the individuals email account so that internal investigations can be undertaken by the club with a view to preventing such an individual from entering the stadium in order to safeguard our staff and the club's reputation. The club cannot afford financial sanctions imposed on the club in the event of violent conduct or disorder. Two recent examples have been the posting of an address purporting to be a member of staff, encouraging attacks on this address. Police were notified and systems put in place to protect the occupants of this address. Another was the encouragement of supporters to physically attack staff conducting their business within the stadium. The club has a duty of care to it's staff to protect them from physical attack or the threat of violence. We also owe it to our genuine supporters to safeguard the best interests of the club by preventing any course of action where the club may be penalized as a result of the minority who want to cause harm to the club. We therefore look to you for your full support in identifying any person as described and look forward to a close working relationship with you for the future
  19. Well well, unless we all missed something first time round ( I always had it down as March 2011) the date for the first CVA repayment appears to have changed to April 2012, with the second one being just 4 months later. Did we miss this or has it changed
  20. I was in Paris, just before Christmas.... A long day of meetings were made easier at the thought of some fine French cuisine and culture. We got taken to a Kosher Indian restaurant :scared:
  21. Yes I would be very happy. I don't think people realise what Mr Lallana's signature would have cost. I suspect it is the single biggest cheque Nicola has written since he has been here.
  22. Keith Granger has a bigger place in the Southampton History than 14 goals in two matches. He was the receipent of the bounced 4k cheque (For Coaching) that forced lowe into administration.
  23. A quick point, that I am not sure of the answer; andriod was able (Don't ask me how) to convince the court that the secured football players should get a vote on the CVA as this directly effected their contract terms and future earnings (Contract extensions and the like) it was by the courts allowing this, that they got the 75% needed for the CVA. They wouldn't have got it without it. If as we now know (Hughes and Brown) they are not going to allow those contract extensions to take place, then does that make their vote in the CVA null and void. Whilst I am sure that it isnt going back to court on this matter, surely that comes back on andriod? Looks a bit more like cheating to me.
  24. It's still one of the main things that just makes me laugh / doesn't add up. In most companies, the more you save the company the bigger the bonus. Why on earth would you incentivise someone for spending as much as they can. There's only one business model that I know of, where that works, but that would be illegal, so it can't be that. Puzzling. Oh and if by magic.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Forget-Lampitt--the-target.6687466.jp?CommentPage=2&CommentPageLength=10#comments Come on Chanerai...spend spend spend. Forget the CVA, forget cash flow, forget the creditors and forget the youth team. Bring in 5 top players and they still have a chance at the playoffs. I'm not sure when, but this had always been entertaining, now it's more annoying. To think those thick ****s get to put Hampshire as their address.
  25. Indeed and I didnt even bother replying as if you are that blind, nothing on a message board will change your mind. I remeber arguing with corp on here that are 27 years was a huge achievement in itself, he wasn't having any of it. Whilst it is horrible to lose your best players, that's ultimately what allowed us to stay and compete at the highest level. Perhaps more importantly it built an infrastructure that made the club attractive when things went wrong. We ultimately went into adminstration over a 4k cheque and the total loses to all creditors was less than 13 million (Nothing to be proud of) but 10 times better than the blue few and will help us bounce back 10 times quicker and will take them 10 times longer. I think the word is "Karma"
