At a guess, when they practice the set pieces, The defenders defend and the attackers attack.

Absolutely ******* pathetic. Kick them out of the games. There is enough problems and tension in the World without creating more out of nowhere. All the more stupid as Jerusalem is a holy muslim city

I am still waiting to hear who Cifti has agreed a contract with after snubbing portsmouth. A young and upcoming talent....... not beyond the realms of possibility

Dont laugh too loudly Saintwiz. We did exactly the same thing (Ours was only 1 inch short though)

Most companies are now trying to use it in their favour and provide social media, in a way that they can harness and capture relevant information. I'm not talking about facebook, but to have their own internal social collaboration tools and any integration with linkedin, that they can get. Some big business out there for the corpoarates with the vision

Oh dear, looks like it has been going on for years http://www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/feat/edy3/sixty_years_ago_pompey_make_illegal_payment__shrimpers_paid_the_price_651671/index.shtml I think it is fair to say "ingrained" into their history, breeding and culture

They will be paid. They are breaking even this season, based on two years worth of parachute payments. Next season is the real pain, when they need to buy a squad after their points deduction. They will probably take year 3 early at that point, but then they need to start servicing the CVA. They have avoided relegation this season, but with minus points, 7 players, CVA kicking in and reduced crowds, next season will be interesting.

I disagree. Those stats should scare the **** out of Adkins. The fact that one player is so key amoungst the squad we have is not right. Whilst stats can be used in many different ways and to suit different agendas, the reality is we know that what the echo are trying to emphasise or suggest, is actually spot on. Of course every team miss their best player, but we simply don't play or click when Lallana isn't in the team. I would go as far as saying we are more dependant on him than we were on Le Tissier in his day. Now obvioulsy MLT was at a different level, but regardless of the points between 8 and 18th, on paper we are a "Lallana picks up a knock" away from a fooked up season.

I'd be disappointed if that chnage wasnt made. Butterfield was outstanding in his first few games, but hasn't been as good recently. It would also send out the perfect message. Given the options available, any drop in form and someone takes your place.

I'll get slaughtered for this but here goes. I don't think we look like an automatic promotion team and think we will bottle it in the play offs. Sure there were some good bits yesterday, but there were some bad ones as well. The only thing that got us going yesterday was the equaliser and when you consider whats at stake in each and every game we play now, that is disappointing. Our movement was shocking until we had the two goal buffer and Swindon were out of it at that point. I'm not complaining at a win, it's just an observation

#pompeyfc Steve Cotterill tells us that Asia is the club's preferred destination for next pre-season. America and Austria are also options Well i suppose that they will only have to pay for 8 flights and four hotel rooms, so it might be financially manageble. Of course, they might just end up playing, Exeter, Bournemouth, Reading and Brighton

I think I would have matched what he has to date. Thats not a dig at him, and support him 100%, but I havent seen anything exceptional yet. -
A little snippet from the fans meeting with Lumpit; When asked how they build the squad at the end of the season lumpitt answers "transfers do not necessarily have to be built around an upfront fee that value for money was the key" LOL, straight out of Peter Storrie book of football club management. That's it Lumpitt...buy them on the never never

Heres what a tranmere fans thinks the diffeerence between the two teams are; 27. At 3:09pm on 23 Feb 2011, Tengullenhat wrote: As a Tranmere fan, I hardly expected my team to get any mention. However, as someone who regularly travels throughout the UK, I have managed to see some of the better teams in this league throughout the season. Firstly, let me say how I totally disagree with Steve's description of either Brighton or Southampton. Having seen the Saints play five or six matches, I can honestly say that they play in the same way, game in, game out. Because of this, then most sides are able to counter their style and nullify the threat from their undoubtedly talented strike force. My own team were able to make them look very ordinary, and certainly nowhere near automatic promotion candidates. Brighton on the other hand, and completely the opposite of Steve's summing up on them, play football, not only on a skill level way above this league, but they are able to play and adapt their formation and style during a match, according to that played by the opposition. This is something that has never been witnessed in the lower league levels before, and they will be able to adapt the style in the Championship to gain further success. You have to credit the way that the club is run now. Southampton have their work cut out to make second spot, and because they are reluctant to change their system, then I feel either Bournemouth or Charlton will be gaining the runners-up position. Whoever does finish second, they will be a long way behind Brighton. -
The Sporting View. Awful beer, but fantastic views over the sports centre and parts of Southamton. Dogs free to roam around the pub as they wish
