What a brilliant programme. Best program on the box by a country mile. Although slighty disappointing to find out that Jose Fonte is infact a South American Drug baron, with side line in undectable mini subs.

That's not the point I was making. We could have easily sold more season tickets, but with the new ticket tax it was more profitable for the club to have people buying on a game by game, which is all well and good as long as ............................. The team are winning and entertaining.
-
Indeed but outside of the formal ratification of chanarai, (Once they get their paperwork in order) then there is very little to say. Storrie's tax evasion case might breathe some new life into the thread, but we are nearly done. Chanarai will hang around for the rest of his money through the parachute payments and then sell sell sell. The CVA allowed for 15 million pounds worth of working capital and once that's gone it will have to stand on its own two feet and thats when they will really start feeling the pain. He might of course sell earlier if someone offers him a chunk of change, but i doubt it.

Your'e right that it will increase when we start winning, but I do think we are down on numbers due to Corteses season tickets stance. IMO he left 2000 + season tickets on the table with the short window and no payment plan. A winning start would have seen more fans and the ticket tax would have generated additional revenue and he could argue it was the right thing to do, but it was always based on success and that hasnt happened. A commercially driven decision, that for me looks like it has backfired.

I see we are not 'South Coast Team' anymore

F) Cortese, made a stunningly bad business decision, that ended up costing the Club money and he had to go crawling to the powers that be and apologise, back down and take one for the team. Definately F. -

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Frustration-for-Cotterill.6536770.jp Oh stevie boy, wakey wakey, The answer as to whether anyone is coming in before the Sheffield Utd game is a big fat no, i'm afraid. I'm not quite sure what part of transfer embargo you don't understand and before you point in the direction of kitson and lawerence etc. you were allowed these to make your squad upto 20. Of course you had to cancel a few contracts, send others out on loan and massage the numbers a bit and i guess you could do the same again, but with the FL having been undone by their own rules, i doubt they will be in a hurry to help again. It probably didnt help, with the andriod publically slating them either. A quick word to the wise, it's probably worth taking what you are told from the powers that be at fratton park, with a pinch of salt _ they are not renowned for their honesty. You might also want to have a dig around as to what paperwork was missing, to prevent the FL/FA ratifying young chanarais ownership. You see offical documentation, accounts and legal paperwork, are not pompeys strong points, so you might end up waiting a rather long time. But anyway chin up fellla and don't worry about those rumours thar maradonna is waiting in the wings for your job. You are doing a sterling job and have the full backing from the largest team on the South coast

Promotion unlikely How many failed set pieces does it take to change the set piece taker Hammond's dismissive hand gesture to fans at the end, not helpful Three left midfielders on the bench is just silly Les reed, Dean Wilkins or NC must rate Joseph Mills highly for Adkins to choose him over Dickinson Dickinson must be ****ed off he signed Didn't realise just how much we would miss Lallana Lamberts head isnt in the right place The weight of expectation was to heavy Nigel Adkins has a lot of work to do. Bournemouth could be the highest placed South coast team next season The ref was a runaway dwarf from the circus

Agreed. I didnt realise he was in the 25 man squad, when I posted it and although i started with "Doesn't mean he is going to sign", when my son told me he had seen him, it ticked all the boxes of what we might be looking for, but as you have suggested, i would be very surprised if any listed premiership players within their clubs 25 would be let out on loan.
-
Well that puts pay to that then. Very much doubt any club would loan out any of their 25.
-
They can't have any more Stoke players on loan
-
Doesn't mean he is going to sign but my son saw him in Southampton today. Any doubts that it wasn't him, soon erased by his number plate. Decent Winger

Very few managers are on as much as the players.
-
Now the manager is sorted, i was trying to guess what the job actually pays. I think I read (Not sure how accurate) that Adkins was on 150k at scunny. I think (Pure guess) about 200k, plus promotion bonus, does that sound about right?
-
Think thats wrong, i charge Trainers out at 1000, per day and they are unqualified
-
Drop me a PM, i know a top guy, reasonable rates etc.
-
Yes, but the press are reporting,he has lifted it.
-
Absolutely spot on. The statement from Mitchell, was the only way howe could go back with any dignity. The other scenario is he goes back having interviewed and not got the job, fans know he is off the next time there is an approach. The players think the same thing, morale goes down and he is no longer King Eddie. I doubt very much if he was offered the job, but fully understand Mitchells statement..... I would have doen the same thing in his position.

Very promising responses and the original initiative to invite fans in the first place is very welcome. I am troubled by the response to photograher ban question, as unless i have my days mixed up, the ban had already been lifted or negociated. Not a big thing in it's self, but if it was an open and honest forum, why not just tell them or the person who asked the question, that he already backed down. Small blot on what are some very promising ambitions

He will be when Hoddle doesnt get the job

The fact that they are willing to break the wage structure on just their 3rd and fourth recruits of the new era tells you all you need to know. Don't be surprised if Kanu's wages and 3 (LMFAO) year contract went well over the 10'000 per week limit as well. Ultimately I guess none of us are surprised, but want is even more incredible is that AA has come out and told the World....nothing short of bizarre and another two fingers to at the FL, with the bird added for good measure by stating they tried to sign someone for a million quid, when there squad is now 20, they have a transfer emargo and AA's pledge to the creditors was no purchases....funny they didnt ratify pompeys golden share yesterday isn't it?
-
 The idea of me posting a "Fighter plane thread" sounds bizarre, the idea of me starting a thread on one, was before today, beyond comprehension..... That said it was ******* impressive.

Whoooooaaaaaaaaaa hold your horses. Eddie Howe did interview for the job, that was fairly common knowledge. He didnt get it and now has to go back to Bournemouth and whilst it might not be a case building bridges, he does have to save some face (Not exactly the right words, but you know what i mean) and the best and most effective way of doing that is to say he turned it down. Bournemouth fans (The Gullable ones) love him, players confidence restored and everything is good again. It would be much harder to go back and say, i had the interview, didn't get the job, so i'm back here. Nothing to beat Cortese with on this one.
