  1. Do your mates call you lightening turkish?
  2. Im not sure he will get ****, but my money is on a rendition of "Alan Pardews Red and White Army" that will be well supported in all stands. Cortese might feel a bit of a chump whilst it lasts, but im sure he will live.
  3. Dont be soft
  4. Dalek he's not coming back.... Just like he wasnt coming back when Strachan was appointed, when Burley was appointed, when Pearson was appointed, when porteloo was appointed, when woote was appointed, when Pardew was appointed. Each and every time you have posted that he was on his way back. He's not get over it. You say that "every dog has his day", well hoddle has had his and it's time to move on. You also say there is a groundswell of opnion in favour of hoddle. That is just the voices in your head i'm afraid It still worries me greatly that you are in charge of educating the youth of this country. Give it up or get some help.
  5. 2) Must play players that the chairman has signed 3) Must stand up when chairman enters the room 4) Must not make reference to previous heros
  6. Ruud Gullit
  7. You'll like these little snippets (Genuine) from pompoey fans; London 27/08/2010 12:22:05 4 court cases with HMRC and still heavily in debt so how do the FL let them bring players in like Bellamy.I except Cardiff are'nt in administration but still feel its wrong that they are getting away with it. Cardiff have signed Keogh from Wolves too - how are they able to do it when theyre in so much financial trouble?! Level playing field my haris! Dont sell any of them!!!!!!!!
  8. That was exactly what i first thought. Additionally where does it leave the football creditors rule, if he decided to take all the money, what about outstanding football debts
  9. That's the ticket

    Bizarre

The camera was on his land....his land and entrance to his land. No need for a sign, no law broken, no human rights infringed.
  11. I read Pardews article in the Echo about his relief that this weekend we are playing away and that it would be good for the team to get away from the expectations of home crowd. I am a big fan of Pardews, but don't completely agree with this. But did start wondering whether things would be any different with this squad playing at the Dell. I know we are much better off at St Mary's, I know we had to move etc etc., but if we could chose just one season to play at the Dell again, for me it would be this one. After my first five minutes at St Mary's I wanted to be back at The Dell. Probably more out of sentiment than anything else...... The old girl rocking for one more season, Champions guaranteed
  12. Fair play StOat and NC
  13. Of all the 100's of Song for "XXXX" threads on this forum and the last, has one ever made it onto the terraces? Just a question
  14. The post was with regard to loans, but it applies to both. Just taking the 25 man rule within the prem, means that clubs will want to have as many wages covered as possible for players that are on their books, but not getting a game. On top of that If someone comes in with a half decent offer, they are likely to accept it. That has not always been the case, when money wasn't a consideration and bigger squads gave clubs better depth and more to work with. The financial state of football has taken away that luxury.
  15. Completely the opposite. There WILL be good / better/ execellent players available because of the state of finances in football
  16. The next page is going to be inundated with pompey hooligans. Watch your backs and stand by your mates.
  17. This transfer window, is very different to most others. The 25 man squad rule in the Prem, is going to throw up a whole host of very capable players. Whether we can attract any of those, remains to be seen, but the knock on effect will come down the food chain and there will be players available that will be playing league one football this year, that would have dismissed it out of hand last year. Guly has come on loan with an option to buy - Try before you buy, perfectly reasonable approach. I am guessing that we will take other loans, but if proven players are available and within budget, they when will sign them. All guess work, but I think Pardew is absolutely right to wait.
  18. Perfect night; Improved performance Improved fitness Improved confidence Out of a cup, to concentrate on the league. Good night all round

    Bizarre

Why would anybody do this? I just don't get it...... and when you've finished trying to fathom that one out, move on to the fact that she now has police protection. Strange World http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Woman-Who-Put-Cat-In-Bin-In-Coventry-Is-Identified-By-RSPCA-And-Given-Police-Protection/Article/201008415704447?lpos=UK_News_Carousel_Region_3&lid=ARTICLE_15704447_Woman_Who_Put_Cat_In_Bin_In_Coventry_Is_Identified_By_RSPCA_And_Given_Police_Protection .....note sure if the video link is working on that link, scroll down and reclick, to see her do it
  20. Regardless of the bad press, it is now costing the club money.....did you see how many photograhers were at the game? (That the club will be paying) He won't keep funding it. It will be shelved quietly, in the near future.
  21. My guess is that we have sold the grand total of zero pictures. Given the amount of club photographs at the match on Saturday (Never noticed them before) and assumming they get paid, i dont think it will be long before it is quietly shelved.

    Grazer AK

Apologies if this has been mentioned before (I couldn't find anything) A mate turned up on Saturday with an old Grazer AK kit (Austrian team), sponsored by Liebherr. I didn't give it much thought, outside of thinking that if the family are going to takeover Makus's businesses, then someone in the family is interested in football. I tried to see if they were still sponsorsing them and it turns out the club is now called Liebherr Grazer AK. From what I can work out they went into Admin / Bankrupcy and agreed a deal with their creditors, what i can't work out is whether the Liebheer family bought the club, or this is just a sponsorship deal. If they own the club does that cause any issues with them owning Saints as well? (I am assuming not) So if nothing else, intresting to see that there is a genuine interest in football within the family.... oh and they play in Red and White
  23. Between, Wilson and Smith, that's 5 million worth of transfers they have turned down. It would seem cash isn't as needy down there as we thought.
  24. Of course rain will effect the number of walk ups, it always does, not just football, any event. As for 4k, it was between 2 -4k, that I said and maybe that's a bit high, but this is prime holiday season, I know about 10 people away that would almost certainly have gone.
