Fook me - Don't come on to the lounge for a friendly ear. Dr Who, we have done silly things, but don't worry to much. I am guessing as a teacher, she has only a couple of weeks, left anyway before the holidays start. The advice to seek proper advice is the best one, but if she resigns then i would imagine the problem goes away. If she can arrange for a meeting or conversation between the relevant parties, then I am sure an apology would go a long way. There is a shed load of work and strife ahead for anybody that wants to pursue this to a conclusion, and if she is leaving anyway, then it would serve no purpose, unless this has become vindictive.

There is a bit in all of this that the thread hasnt really picked up on, but aa has stated that when the proof of debt is required, he expects the total amount owed to fall DRAMATICALLY - so how much is dramatically 20, - 30, 40%???? I might be missing something, but that suggests, that debt that doesnt exist, has been used towards the % for the CVA.......Am i missing something??

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/8812123.stm I never knew that we taxed foreign Sports people this way.....poor old Bolt he can't afford to run in the UK
-
I think that is the only thing in pompooeys favour with regard to HMRC challenging. Whilst Griffins set out a better return, the reality is the aa is in charge and if the CVA fails, then has said he would look at liquidating the club and with chanarai owning the ground, gaydamak owning the other land and the players free to walk if it happened, there isnt any other assets to sell and the creditors would get nothing.

lol.....oh super mikey its all tongue in cheek stuff now  Read your last line and then read my last paragraph....here's a clue... Now of course, things can still be done whilst he is away, but the way that he has conducted himself and run the club to date, suggest he is pretty much one man show and I can't see him delegating this sort of responsibility, so if he is happy to work on deals whilst he away, great, we might see some new faces, but if he is not, then I can't see us signing anyone else until he returns.

You forgot the dressing gown.....sloppy
-
So let me get this right, you think it is more bizarre that we might not sign anyone for the next couple of weeks due to the guy that controls the finances, negociates the transfee fees and agrees the personal terms, being away on holiday, than the fact that due to the same guy being away, the team suspend training, close the ticket office and shut the club down?.................... finger on the pulse there Mikey.
-
Why would the team suspend their training, the ticket office close and the club shut down because cortese is away?.....what a bizarre post dull days
-
I think the council will do it for free, but not 100% sure
-
Cortese is now on holiday for two weeks. I can't see any signings whilst he is away.

Assuming that everybody uses the same amount of services, then obviously that would be the fairest way. May be a reduction for those that privately educate their children (Not costing the state any money) and those that have private health (Saving the NHS 000's ), but im guessing you wouldn't agree with that either

Rates, then Poll Tax, then Council tax, with the exception of home owners for rates, they are all pretty much of muchness

Re-Invented and Tories stayed in power

Ian - I have two or three pairs of girls football boots, that were only used a couple of times - Yours if you want them FOC (I will check the sizes over the weekend)

It's not a question of whether i believe you or not, it's just the way the system operates. Council Tax is three consecutive missed payments or default on a payment plan (Previously agreed for previous defaults) before they take you to court. In order to serve notice, they have to prove that they have sent you more than 3 reminders, leaving 7 days notice and 7 days reponse inbetween each one. So no i don't believe you, nobody has ever been taken to court for being two days late from the orginal bill and if you disputed a transaction, any action would be put on hold., to allow you time to prove it. So dont let the facts stand in the way of a good story............
-
You would not be going to court if you had not paid it on time.....and no it wasnt two days late
-
Lol dont be silly - you do not get taken to court for being two days late. Three consecutive missed payments as a bare minimum or failing to stick to agreed terms of payment plan of money owing. Don't even bother coming back to assure us you really were only two days late (They wouldnt have been able to serve notice otherwise)
-
Yes you are and it's not
-
And others have said he kept complete control (Sorry to confuse you Yoda)

Who was he second time round

Last week aa met with HMRC..... And then it went very quiet. Now he's back and talking questioning the reasoning behind why they would challenge....Oh and portpin will buy it even if they do. The reality is that aa already knows whether a challenge is likely (Based on their meeting) so for me this is all just part of the performance. HMRC have 4 options 1) They do nothing, take it on the chin and move on (Unlikely) 2) They do not challenge the CVA and wait for the investigation into what went wrong (Part of the CVA proposal) and then go after the executives /gaydamak for the shortfall (Likely) 3) (Likely) They challenge the CVA on the grounds of the amount of debt taken into consideration against the CVA, the real debt figure and the fact that secured creditors voted, towards the CVA (I'm sure aa has a way around that one) The real debt figue is the interesting one. When the creditors list first came out, there were a numer of stories that the creditors list included debts that had been settled a long time ago. AA himself has that in his offical document that he expects the total debt to be DRAMATICALLY reduced, when proof of the debt is required, meaning that debt that didnt exist, still got a vote in the CVA (The administrator acted on behalf of everybody else (Voted on their behalf) other than 1/2 a dozen creditors)....if the debt wasnt real, then that sqews the % HMC would have acheived. 4 (Unlikely) HMRC have been working with the authorities and have got to bottom of any criminal activity, blow the whole thing open, seize the assets and arrest any wrongdoers. So for me it's 2 or 3 ...... we'll find out next week

Whilst Council tax is based on the property, it is paid by the owners or tenants (Whoever lives there) so if you live in a house you pay (Although I get your point) which is different to the old rates.
-
The Tories stayed in power and the poll tax still exists (Council Tax) = Make that EPIC Failure

Forget Fair that's where we are right now. There is no money left in the kitty. Just like when you spend everything you have in the bank and go to the cash point for some more and it politely says no. It is no different for the Country, it has no money left. Infact it is much worse than having no money left, it is minus 100's of billions. No problem that you want to balme the banks and force the banks to pay (And in time they will) but for the next few years, it is everybody that will have to pay. Your idea of unionising and taking action willl go the same way as the initial posters examples; Miners strike; Failure Poll Tax Riots; Failure Printers Strike; Failuire Fuel Protests: Don't recall anything sunstantial, but given the prices now....Failure BA; Will be a Failure

Far be it for me to stick up for dune, but he's not trolling and whilst i would normally feel uncomfortable at the idea of agreeing with him, in this instance he is absolutely correct
