  1. Ahh get over yourself. It is almost the perfect football song; No repsect for political correctness Revelling in former glory Taking the **** out of the opposition And doesnt fade out after two lines oh and hand actions to boot. At the World cup in Germany it was sung at one of the bars and everytime we "Shot one down" the Germans would dive on the floor. All done in good spirits and perfectly acceptable as a football song - Sounds awesome when sung all the way through by a large group. I'm sure the loonies will disagree
  2. In the prem, then yes it was. After that we renegociated the terms twice (Thats in the pulic domain) (Lowe and Crouch once each) as in we couldnt afford the repayments. There is no cost now as it is ours (Well Marcus's) so nothing to benchmark it against. The repayments were around 2 million a year from memory.
  3. It's not speculation. We know from Mark Fry, the figures to satisfy the crediotrs stood at just under 13 million....as in that was what an investor would need to pay. Then depending on what happened to the surman fee, give us a good idea (If not exact) of what we were sold for. As for the stadium - see companies house (This was posted on here by Guided Missile) where the debts were discharged for significantly less than was owed. ML did not pay in full for the stadium, anybody that thinks he offered another 15 million because he is a super nice guy, needs help.
  4. Smaller crediotrs were apprently paid in full, Aviva (Stadium) and Bank (Barclays) were not. Total deal for everything was somewhere between 11 and 13 million depending on where the Surman money went, or if the price was dropped by the same as his transfer fee
  5. Well this link says that Secured creditors do not vote on the CVA - Only unsecured http://www.fasimms.com/cva.html That list is full of secured creditors - Am I missing something????
  6. Well well well, I didn't think this thread would have anything to offer until the 28th, which would be the last day (I think) that HMRC could contest the CVA. Some quick highlights from the above; Two CVA votes (We need a Clapham or someone else who knows about these things), first vote 81% passed the CVA, second vote 74.07% (I guess this gets rouned upto 75%???? Total Debt is now 105 .4 million (83 unsecured and 22.4 secured), although this bit struck me as a bit strange - they expect the 83 milllion to reduce greatly once creditors have to prove the debt....... (Which is in line with the stories that lots of creditors dets were years old and had been paid a long time ago)....,.but then that means people who voted in favour of the CVA, didnt actually have any right to do so. The other point is that if this does happen, then there is no provision to paythe surplus money to genuine credititors. Now just when you think aa might just actualllty know his stuff, he goes on to say all profits from the European cup competition (If they are allowed to play) will be shared amoungst the creditors...... This isn't champions league son - this WILL cost the club to play in and not that you have a flying fook of a chance at eing enetered. If i have read it right the 74.07% meant they were 0.3% away from having it rejected. With aa admitting alll creditors are not genuine (ANd he can't be talking about HMRC as he only recoginsed 24 out of 32 million of their debt) that has to play in HMRC's favour with an almost guaranteed chance of success, if they challenge I'm sure they will like those odds
  7. The tax man is ****ed off, make no mistake about that. What you have to remember is that this is not just about the money owed. It's the message to other clubs and businesses that HMRC need to protect - A bit like a dodgy money lender, you don't pay, then they have to break your legs, not for the non payment, but so that everybody else doesn't start taking liberties. HMRC have showed their appetite for the courts with pompey and I don't expect them to change thier stance. Then you have to look at who is going to buy the club before anything is formalised.....would anybody put pen to paper without knowing if HMRC is going to challenge it ??? Would anybody buy the club without knowing what points will be deducted (Regardless of how pompey come out of this - they will get some point deductions)??? As Rallyboy said, it's been a laugh if nothing else, but the best may still be yet to come.
  8. The other element of HMRC's position is the small detail of a legal challenge of the football creditors rule (Starts today I think) ....if they win that chanarai will poo his pants
  9. You can't really blame sky..... they've been shafted
  10. So the ball now lies in the HMRC court, with "Court" being the operative; 1) They challenge their % of the debt, as aa only recognised, 24 of the 34 million owed 2) They challenge the validity of the debts to other parties 3) They go after Gaydamak and other Executives for insolvent trading and claim their losses from individuals rather than pompey (Storrie will be bricking it) I think it is safe to assume, that chanarai will now offically take over. I don't think he will invest, he will just take what is owed and try to sell it on. The new company will have liabilities (As do most clubs) but will be in a much better position to sell. Maybe for 10 million (Goes to Chanarai) Lets see what HMRC do, but we should acknowledge that aa will know what is coming and must be confident nothing can be stuck on him or any wrong doing be proven. As much as a weirdo as he is, he's not stupid.
  11. Does anyone know URL for the jounalist that twitters live from the creditors meetings
  12. Out of everything that's gone on, the theories and guess work of possible outcomes and point deductions etc, the only thing i am completely convinced about is HMRC stance in all of this. They want blood and they will get it. They are not going to roll over and die, they are not going to ease up and they don't care a monkeys how much it costs them to get a result. pompey took the ****, too many times, then they did it in court room with Vantis and they continue to do with aa. The world is watching and if for no other reason than to send a message of intent to every other club or business in the Country, HMRC will ultimately win.
  13. Doh sorry..... I had a quick look and couldnt see anything. Mods feel free to delete - lock, or whatever

  15. 2010 and I don't think Ive been so dumb struck with something I've seen on TV. I actually thought it was a spoof, but Lineker was adamant it was real. I am sure it will be on you tube shortly, but essentially North Korea rewrote history and showed highlights of match against Brazil as a two nil win over Brazil, whose goal was rightly disallowed. The subtitles throughout the footage talked about the evil west and how they were being intimidated in South Africa. Please someone tell me this was just a joke
  16. Even if the cva is accepted, HMRC still have a whole hand of cards to play. In the first instance they can challenge it in court and I would certainly expect them to do that . If you look at the stance they have taken throughout this whole debacle, they are taking this very seriously. If all else fails, they have gaydamak to go after. They have made their offer and he has ignored it. I would imagine that they will seize his assets in the shortest possible timeframe, which importantly includes the land around fratton park, including the offices, which would then put HMRC in the driving seat as aa could sell the club to whoever he wants, but couldn’t even walk through the turnstiles if HMRC played hardball. (You can’t get into the ground, without using the land that gaydamak owns). I would be interested to know the process of seizing assets and whether they might have done all the work ahead of time, in case things don’t go their way on Thursday.
  17. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Andronikou-39It-looks-like-we.6364413.jp http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Pompey-line-up-trio-from.6364397.jp Everything is hunky dory in aa's world. It looks like the additional fines imposed by HMRC, don't go towards the percentage of debt that the cva is based on, leaving HMRC with only 21% and only one other creditor supporting them. Additionally they have a wage budget of 8 million for next season and lining up the loanee's....from (Of course) Harry. it would appear that nick, might have been onto something all along.... and they might just get away with it. From the way that I see it, aa is now in a **** or bust situation and looks like he will come out smelling of roses. They will still recieve point deductions for the tax and illegal scout dealings, but that is pretty much it.
