I would rather any funding goes towards the real team / squad
-
The liehberr's bought the "club" and immediately pinned £27m worth of loans to scum. When the "club" advanced towards the PL they converted the loan to shares. Two things about this. Firstly when running up a further £25m of operating losses to get to the PL, had this investment gone belly up you lot would have been left high and dry the same as we were by Gaydemake and Chanari. Secondly they converted the loan to shares just before securing promotion to the PL to get the maximum return. That is the shares would soon be were worth more that the loans so they converted them for their own benefit. They have not acted for the good of the "club" but in manner that protects themselves and maximises there return. This is their reason for buying and remaining at scum. My main point is that since being in the Premier League the club have made clear that they will not entertain the Europa League. Last year when you played Sunderland you had absolutely nothing to gain or lose in the PL being marooned in 8th place with a stack load of points between both 7th and 9th. Still the reserves were put out and a genuine chance of success gone west. Why? because the owners don't want to risk Europa League football which will either require a bigger squad or likely to have an adverse effect on PL prize money returns. This season near full strength teams have been put out but Keoman let the cat out the bag when he said that scum "needed to be seen to be taking the competition seriously". Clearly you are not. Yes, they have invested in the academy but they have not returned to the first team squad or the club the money they have brought in. There is a reserve which, if it hasn't been already, it will be returned to the Liebherr's in the form of a dividend before the club is sold. If they left tomorrow they would have left you in a better financial but they would not sell the club tomorrow. Before any sale it is clear (as was seen last summer when i personally believe the club was on the brink of sale) they would sell the family jewels and clear out the bank account first. What is more they will leave you with the same number of major trophies in the cabinet. Please don't be fooled; they are not at scum for the good of the club, the community, the youth academy and certainly not to win any trophies. They are there to make money and that is the top and bottom of it. That means no prospect of winning a trophy as it makes no money or, more precisely, risks far more significant sums of PL prize money. So I return to my point... It's all fine and well having money but if you're owners are only geared to making money there is in the current structure no prospect of such clubs striving to win a trophy. With no intention of actually winning any trophies what is the point of being a football club? The harsh reality is, like Newcastle and Villa, you exist to sit in mid-table and collect premier league prize money whilst costs are kept to a minimum and fans taken for as much as they are prepared to be bled for. You are so welcome to it cause even though we sit at the bottom of the 4th Division, I sleep comfortably knowing that the 4:1 ratio of major trophy wins in our favour will remain for as long as the Liehberr's are in charge. You "club" is not not football clubs because it no longer strives to be the best football club it can be; only to make money. You want to back a soulless corporate whore and line the pockets of our friendly jolly foreigners then be my guest.... the last laugh is on you!

Updated Old Peter burnt the midnight oil But saw no fruits for all his toil As time ran down and debts ran up He sought a buyer, but had no luck Avram came and Avram went In Horton Heath his load he spent The blue few cheered and sang his name As he kissed the badge and showed no shame But Salvation seemed not far away With, Al. Falhim to save the day He wasn’t quite a billionaire And walked right into to Baloo’s lair With the ice cream man out of town, A new saviour would soon be found. Some still believe this man a myth But to portpin he was a perfect “gift”. When the debt could finally rise no more Old Chinny came and knocked the door. With an admin here and an admin there “My debts secured so I don’t care.” The time had come to sell again And Chinny chose some Russian men. Their eyes were bright and their smile true, But Ruffmafia and the nutjobs KNEW. And so indeed it came to pass That Antonov & his mate can't last Shackled in an English Jail Another epic pompey fail But true to form they did not sell In fact they saw their numbers swell So come the middle of Janu ary It was onto admin number three. With a heavy heart and weary face Poor old lampitt lost his place It looked like Andy would return But his advances, the judge would spurn So up stepped Trev from pkf To find there was no money left His rallying cries went unheard And the players thought his requests absurd It looked like Cala would be their man With his whacky underwater plan, But alas no, it was not he That could resurrect old portsea That just left Chinny to take the reigns But the pst have a bid to feign. The race is on, but who will win The smart money thought it was old portpin. But what looked straight forward was soon to change When the football league, found their range. To prove they were all worthy men They hit the skates with minus ten Another twist was still to come As the pst only went and won Selling things that looked like shares They took the club and had no cares. Perhaps it was not as quite first thought As the HNW's filled the board The 60% was no more And the new pitch reduced it even more. With Tesco's there to save the day The harbourdrome's not far away. Although the building work is yet start. At least they got a new car park It's down to Awfs now to take them up And all they'll need is a little luck. If only other teams could stop, treating every game as the FA cup

I was told by a Saints fan at Sheffield, that things weren't good, which had in turn come from his wife who worked at the hospital. Can't say how true it is or not, as I don't know the bloke outside of away matches, but he has been going for years and can't think why he would lie. That seemed to be at odds with a tweet from Jay Rod in the last week or so, but from how it was explained to me (And I'm sure there could be some Chinese whispers through the food chain) his whole career is at stake. It does seem strange that the club have gone very quiet on it all, considering now would be the time when he would start he come back in earnest. Sincerely hope this has all been blown out of proportion.

Depends who we are playing. We have a proper tactician in charge these days.
-
It was a penalty , but about 2 or 3 second before, Newcastle did the same.... no way the ref could have given it, having not given the first offence.
-
It was an absolute freak goal.....no idea what you are talking about.

New North Stand car park to be used Portsmouth Football Club would like to advise supporters that work has commenced on the new Tesco store next to the ground. As a result, the land behind the Fratton End is no longer available for supporters to use as a car park, either during the week or on a matchday. It also means that on Saturday there will be no public access behind the Fratton End until the ticket booths open at 11am. The area behind the North Stand will now formally become the club’s new main car park (access via Anson Road) and, as part of the overall development, a temporary surface has been used. There are approximately 230 parking bays, with 26 of these designated as accessible spaces. All spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and are charged at £5. Portsmouth Football Club are also pleased to announce the creation of a designated drop-off point in Anson Road. Tickets are still available for Saturday’s League Two clash with Burton and can be bought online here. On Saturday, home fans can buy tickets from the booths behind the Fratton End, which open at 11am Read more at http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/article/information-on-car-parking-at-portsmouth-2208286.aspx#pKdhVgTWbgXmYQOe.99

It wasn't, of course it wasn't and the club have subsequently confirmed there were no bids for Jay Rod in the summer. You don't buy a player with that sort of injury, until they have categorically proved they are over it and even then, the fees will never be as high. Nobody was buying him in the Summer and nobody is buying him this January.

Private sector management in the NHS is more efficient and effective.
