  1. I'm not so sure...... I think she still qualifies today But that's by the by, the winner is quite obviously Olivia Newton John. Lets get physical ..............
  2. Just a heads up for those tweeting his brother....... When the first bits came out about wanting to leave and his head was already in Liverpool and how he would love to play for them, his brother tweeted him saying; "love the club you are with". I read it as a dig at dejan
  3. Of rewarding and abject failure. This one grates even more..... Truly staggering. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-28454800
  4. Disappointing that it is dependant on the Lovern deal - I would have thought we would be looking at an additional Centre Half regardless of what happens to with Dejan.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28419258 Koeman on the BBC
  7. I don't think that is the case. Lovern certainly hasn't helped the situation or himself, but bid has been rejected and the Club seem fairly adamant Liverpool are well short, additionally with Chelsea now in the mix, the price is only going one way. There will be a bit of sweating from all parties and the deal will get done, but it wont be for the amount we have turned down.
  8. Wouldn't it be funny if this didn't go through now.
  9. I think this thread might see a few more visits once people have put them through a wash. Saw one yesterday that was threading after one wash.
  10. But Markus plan was a mid table self sustaining club........ I think we have been here before
  11. So what is happening? ( For the benefit of us dumb fans)
  12. Not sure if he is still doing it, but Keith Granger used to run "The Garage" in Winchester, which had a dedicated goal keeping program.
  13. He is already our player and suitably insured - So on that level we are covered. It has been mentioned that the five year deal has been on the table for a while and possibly linked to a contractual clause, but still a clever move from the club, that is not without risk. I could end up looking very silly (more than usual) but I simply cant see how anyone could buy him and cannot think of a single example of a player being sold with such an injury, at the level and price that J Rod would command.
  14. I was waiting for someone to mention Gascoigne and nearly included it in the original post. The deal was already done before the cup final
  15. Not whilst he is injured no.... And before any club pays what he is worth, he will need a season of consistent performance. J rod is going nowhere
  16. Name me a player that has ever been sold with an ACL injury?
  17. You don't buy a player with an ACL injury. There are occasions when you take a "Gamble", but a fit J Rod is 15 million+ you don't gamble with that sort of money, if for nothing else than the fact they cant get insurance. J Rod to anyone, is just nonsense talk.
  18. Pap - with the aid of some Spanish sun, a few pints and a nice glass of red, I'm coming down on the conspiracy side with regard to the original plane from this thread. I've given you stick in the past so you can laugh at me now.
  19. You know that Matt Le Tiss has left right?

Maybe not golden threads, but if there were a category for unique threads................. it could be with the other 1297 Saints tattoo threads
  21. I've got a funny feeling that Mayuka might just play a part next season
  22. Perhaps he chose the wrong day to fly from Southampton. He was welcomed at the airport by 60 diehard Saints fans flying off on a stag do. Absolutely rinsed
  23. I think you have completely missed the context of the post. The first three are peripheral things, that simply wouldn't be done if there was no interest or long term plan. The fourth is a very expensive option, when many cheaper options would have been available - Again not the actions of a no interest short term vision. As for your points; 1) Cortese was all for selling rickie to West Ham - Katrina pulled the plug on the deal 2) Not much you can do when a players head is turned - except hold out for the best deal. It would seem that we done or got pretty close to that. 3) Probably the best bit of business Saints have done in my lifetime. I also suspect that at the time Shaw signed his first professional contract when the vultures were already circling that clauses to allow him to leave were in place - Him signing the contract was a thank you to Saints, to allow us to get a fee (That's a pure theory - Not based on anything else) 4) For a club with no ambition, we are certainly making him squinny for his move and pushing Liverpool to the hilt. dint be surprise to see this one fall through. Not the actions of a club with a short term vision. - Quite the contrary and I should have used it as one of my examples 5) Have I missed something.......
  24. For me there are a few things that suggest it is rubbish; 1) The training ground 2) Under pitch heating 3) LED lighting 4) Koeman 5) Stripes (Personally couldn't give a monkeys) All a little bit meaningless on their own, but each one and collectively suggest a long term investment and strategy. Each and everyone of those could have been either omitted and done at a lot less cost (Except the stripes, but clearly aimed at our heritage)..... Not the actions of an owner without interest.
