  1. How many attempts from one of the big four don't actually happen? I can genuinely only think of Baines. Its just a million miles from "Well they are under contract".
  2. How has he ...... There will be transactions, but on our terms.
  3. We were (In my opinion) a class striker away from European football last season. The amount of games we controlled without winning, was primarily down to not taking our chances, that a killer striker probably would have. We went for it with Osvaldo - It didn't work out and 15 million was probably the ceiling of strikers we could have made. The squad wont stay together this close season and of course losing MP is a huge blow - That, when wrapped up all together will almost certainly set us back in the short term (Next season) but the foundations are there to build from and depending how much and how well any money is spent, it is entirely possible that we end up with a stronger squad (On paper) than where we are today. Who we go for as a manager, could tell us an awful lot, but assuming we spend well, and the overriding "Southampton Way" is still supported the season after next could be very interesting. People on here will cite the amount of points we finished below a European place this season, but from a quality perspective, we actually weren't that far away - It was just the execution that was missing.
  4. LMFAO Stuff you've made up in your head and convinced yourself is true, is now laid out as fact. Interestingly you decide that you know what a man who has been dead four years , that you never met, would have wanted over and above his own daughter. You won't enjoy this summer, a few more departures to go yet - But guess what - We will be just fine.
  5. He'll go for Lovern, the others are out of spurs reach
  6. The bit that I get stuck on is the need for a plane at all? As I said to Pap, if we assume that is was indeed the US government against their own people with the intention of scaring everybody, what do the planes achieve? Blowing up the pentagon and twin towers would have had the same impact (I'm sure the conspiracy theorists suggest that the twin towers were stocked with explosives) so why the need for planes?
  7. What if keeping quiet is working in our favour? Poch is going, I am sure they will announce it when it is signed.
  8. How would you who barry sanchez is, if you only joined last week :rolleyes:
  9. spurs fans view - Interesting read http://bankruptspurs.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/levy-and-learning-to-love-poch/
  10. When Cortese was describing how the purchase came to be he said that Markus asked him to turn the club into a mid table Premiership team. Cortese replied that he could not do that and stop at mid table - and Markus replied "Do what you've got to do". That interview will still be around to watch - I think it was on the BBC.
  11. Great question No idea to the answer
  12. Yes. Give it the what has happened guff as much as you like. He has left and joined Spurs
  13. Actually you disrespectful little **** that is exactly what her Fathers project was. Cortese's remit from Markus was to make us a mid table Premier league team. Cortese said he couldn't stop there. So yet again you have made yourself look like a bell end
  14. I'm sure
  15. Completely gutted. Don't know how else to describe it. Been doing this for years, but can't remember such a gut wrenching departure. Players come and go - Part of the game and I'm old enough to understand that once a players head is turned, it is very difficult if not impossible to reverse the situation. I've read on here how Lallana and Shaw would stay. They won't and never would have, regardless who was in charge, But I always felt we had a shout with Poch and I could have lived with any of the players leaving as long as we kept him. May be the shock of losing him to Spurs is a measure of how far we have come (Trying to find some positives) but it feels like the last five years have just come to a grinding halt. It wasn't just the results, it was the football. Poch is and was the real deal. A complete breath of fresh air to the premiership and I loved every minute of it. Don't blame the board, I am sure we did everything we could, but the footballing pecking order has spoken again, the most annoying thing, is that we were so close....so so so so close to doing something magical. The irony for me is that we were a world class striker away and at 15 million we really went for it with Osvaldo.....it just didn't work out. Don't give up on Saints, we will be back.
  16. LOL ....no :mcinnes::mcinnes:

  21. Don't worry Jimmy - You really don't look like a prize d!ck
  22. What does that mean in English? Why on earth did you lock the other thread
  23. I generally am - You (As you know) pished me off with the Lee Rigby stuff which I found offensive. Which maybe makes me a hypocrite for indulging in this thread, but 911 isn't quite so raw. So anyway thanks for your reply (genuinely) but it doesn't really answer the question. Again - Let's assume that everything you posted is correct (In your reply) - What difference did the planes make? After 911, the rules of flying changed, the skies were and are policed in a very different way post 911 and Jo public can feel safer than they ever have being up in the air. Imagine if it was just explosives? That fear would live forever, AQ getting into the heart of America and blowing up two of it's most important building? What would be their next target, who would be safe? That strikes me as having more of an impact than a boxed off, new form of terrorism. Then there is this energy weapon (I wont pretend to have a clue what this actually is) lets say that's how it was done - Can you imagine the hysteria around the world if terrorists were thought to have such weapons - The whole world would have fed out of the Americans hands to hunt them down and punish them. I could be wrong but the idea of hysteria, panic and retaliation strikes would have been better served without the planes.
  24. Ok so here is my question; Lets say the Americans did it, We will leave you to fill in the blanks as to why, but lets just assume they did. Why did they use planes? If the towers were pre loaded with explosives (Given your assertion that the planes couldn't have done the damage) or this energy weapon you talk about, what use were the planes? The result would have been the same and if (Apologies if this is incorrect) you think it was to scare the American people and justify strikes against Aq, muslims in general or Islamic states, then the planes don't make sense. The risk of failure, is multiplied by millions with there inclusion into this plot, not to mention the additional tens of thousands of points of failure / news leaks that would have been incurred to get everybody onboard and stay silent.
