It is quite clearly Adam's this year, but Steven Davis has been outstanding. A real unsung hero and a fantastic signing.

I'm not sure how you deduce that from the accounts? For his (many) faults, he oversaw promotion to the Premier league and kept the club there in its first season and went on to consolidate the clubs position as a Premier league team.

There is a lot of truth in what you say, but that's not Hodgson's remit..... he will be gone either after the world cup or after the euro's so there is nothing in it for him to do that.

To keep it separate from the "Accounts" thread, there were some very telling comments that could be could be read as "Digs" at Cortese. Given promotion to CEO, I think it is safe to say they are not aimed at the then CFO and also a number of U turns (Badge, Logo, Let Tissier, Echo, Etc.) by the Club, is it possible that he was pushed, instead of jumping? I have to say I assumed without question that his leaving was all Cortese's decision but now I am not so sure. I am reading too much in to this?

Haha .... Not guilty your honour. We (My work) were doing some work with AB Inbev and one of the guys I connected with came up on the right hand side as (People also searched for these people) there was a couple of Saints people..... which got my interest, so I followed the trail.

Long story, but about 6 months before we signed the aap deal, there were a number of senior people at the club (Names I hadn't even heard of) that were connected to a number of AB INbev guys though linkedin. and the main one that they were all connected to had a bizarre business title which was something along the lines of "Director of strategic sponsorships". So definitely not ITK, but at a guess, they were talking about something. Oh....and their three main brands colours (Stella, Bud & Becks) Red and White :) :)

It was an annual rolling contract - It will cost them a years wages, which I guess will be somewhere between 75 - 120k (Not much win bonus to pay :) )

One of my favourite games this season is when we lost to them........... We didn't get the decisions, but thought it was a great match and heavy weights outside the top 4 going head to head.

I have three dogs and the eldest is very poorly. Didn't think he would be here today based on how he was in the week, but I cant believe how much it has hit me. I have had him from 6 weeks old and he is now 12 (Springer Spaniel) but without a stiff upper lip, I would be a blubbering wreck. Happy to take the big girls blouse and soft woss comments that might follow.... (I use to get so annoyed when people would ring in and tell me they couldn't come to work because their cat had died etc. and I have no intention of taking a day off, but maybe this is karma). Never had a pet to lose previously , so this is a first but never expected it to be this hard. Normal or Man up?
