There's nothing to kibosh. I reckon they will get a very modest six figure sum in cash, making whatever land they get irrelevant.......Fatpipes could eat that cash up in general maintenance and the idea of a new stadium is about as likely as their last one and a close second to the underwater hotel.

 There certainly would Whilst some sort of equity stake wouldn't be past the realms of possibility, I would be surprised as the club announced a reduction in share capital around six months ago.

The MALI company Katrina runs is pretty much just an investment vehicle, buying, selling and investing in different businesses. One would assume to make money. The investment to date is around 40 million and we can only guess at what the club is worth now, but obviously considerably more than that and any sale would show a healthy profit. The problem we have got is that without significant amounts of further investment (Champions league), the clubs value is not likely to change, in fact we have probably peaked in terms of value. What is also worth considering is that we have financed the last two years through external loans, mortgaged against every asset the club has - some people suggest that this might be for tax breaks, well those tax breaks were always available when the family was pumping money into the club and we didn't use them then and given the interest payable, I think it is a fairly reasonable conclusion, that we are no longer being bankrolled. So a company used solely for investments, has one of (If not the single biggest) its biggest assets, that would show a 50 million (Guesstimate) profit in five years or without any guaranteed chance of success, would need a further 50 million + pumped in, to see any significant change in value. My money is that we will be sold and that we are "For sale" right now. The fun begins when we get to dissect the new owners and understand the terms of the deal, but the Liebherrs have been nothing short of fantastic for this club and I would expect Katrina to protect her fathers legacy, by finding the right buyers.

The board has given Barker permission to bring in 2 extra players..an attacking midfielder and a striker. http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=535290 I'm sure we've seen this business model before :scared: An outsider might be excused for thinking its sh!t or bust time

Its almost as if this latest rally for new shares is to protect something......something like a 50% fan ownership perhaps?????? Another dollop of cash from the HNW's and the percentages will change again..... will they be the largest bestest part fan owned club in the world.....

I knew it would never be rescinded. It was a blatant red. Sure he made a meal of it, but it doesn't matter how hard or soft he actually caught him, it lashed out with intent. I see it as good news
-
They are going to be seriously disappointed when they find out how much money they actually get from the deal
-
The last few lines detailing the short medium and long term objectives just don't make any sense...... But given their stated objective of setting up an academy that will feed the first team, it makes perfect sense to then scrap the development team
-
Of course I will sign, but I still remember a little player called Ian Wallace.... always used to score against us
-
As for who did or didn't like Cortese, it's probably not appropriate to publically name then, especially when it is always 2nd hand info. He was a difficult man to work for and like, but that doesn't detract from his success.

Well the infighting has started in earnest over on fans online. Barker isn't up the job and the blame lies with the people who hired him, according to some. I don't think they will get relegated, but I'm not sure that matters in the grand scheme of things. It's the painfully slow realisation that they aren't going to walk the league, back to back promotions aren't a formality and the best team they can afford, isn't actually very good even in league two..... oh and the fact they are still running at a loss. Season tickets will be down next year and the walk ups will stop walking. My prediction is that within Two years and the club will be for sale again, but interestingly if they do actually pay off the football debts, then there might be something to salvage.

For a bit of a **** - That's a top post

Can't agree with that pap. I think all parties have been guilty of sweeping it under the carpet, which by default made it an almost taboo subject. Perception is everything and there are huge amounts of people who genuinely believe that Johnny Foreigner is taking all of our council houses, jobs and benefits. The reality is quite different, but by not addressing the issues / topic, those perceptions have been allowed to manifest and create divides. There is a direct correlation between the issues we face now and the seemingly determined efforts not to discuss these topics in the past
