  1. http://redcook.net/2012/07/30/jellyfish-to-eat-or-not-to-eat/ Yes ....
  2. This simply does not ring true. I commute daily from Southampton to London and happy to concede we are miserable gits, but the idea no one would offer their seat to a pregnant lady is ********. I see seats being offered at least once a week, to older passengers. Something is not right in this story, but I would put my house on the fact if you put an obviously pregnant women on a train between Weymouth and Southampton, she would be offered a seat without asking...... do that 100 times and you would get the same result 100 times.
  3. Flying into JFK on Friday and out of Newark onto Mexico on Monday ...... but would love to know who cost you 20 millon

  13. I know, know, it works both ways, but as great as a season that we have had, the "What If's'" are mounting up....... Champions league doesn't quite look as stupid as it did pre season when you start adding these up. 1) Southampton 1 sunderland 1 - How? Totally battered them and absolutely deserved the three points. Ironically, we needed a last minute goal to rescue a point. 2)Norwich 1 Southampton0 - By all accounts we deserved to lose and not a great performance, but a stonewall penalty not given. 3) Southampton 0 West ham 0 - Another How?????? Completely dominated and battered them, but they might have stole it at the end. 4) Stoke 1 Southampton 1 - Being doing this for 35 years, could do it for another 100 and I will never see as freaky goal as the opener. 5) Southampton 2 Aston Villa - LMFAO - Same as above, how we didn't win that match is a mystery. 6) Southampton 2 Tottenham 3 - Can think of any real defining moments, out side of the fact we deserved a point and were unlucky not to get one. 7) Everton 2 Southampton 1 - Clattenburg you cock. Great game deserved a point. Sunderland 2 Southampton 2 - Smashed, , battered and ripped them a new arse and ended up with a point. 9) Southampton 2 Stoke 2 - Should have one simple as that. That's 16 points and we would be in third. Before anyone takes this to seriously, it is just a laugh......
  14. Our away support has been brilliant this season. Non stop singing even when we are losing and always loud, with some mad goal celebrations thrown in (WBA, Anfield, & man u) It's not just the players that have upped their game.
  15. Got to be good news for us Henry Winter ‏@henrywinter · 1m Premier League planning B team division (outside pyramid; U-23 + four over-age) involving clubs with Category 1 Academies: 16 PL and 6 FL
  16. LOL.....he is on the forum Wright told him to wait for him after the game... so he did. MW turned into a blubbering wreck
  17. Well at least you got the first line right...... second one might need some work
  18. The first line is well off ....... stupidly well off
  19. And the fan that challenged Wright on the pitch and offered him his coat as Wright was stropping for next few games and refusing to run........ Might just get to read this :)
  20. Absolutely - Good shout
  21. Well it's 35 years for me and I agree with the OP. when you look back to our most successful period in the early 80's, it didn't take much for the big players to jump ship for a few extra quid. Maybe it is a case of the fact we can match some of the offers coming in these days, but I think there is a whole lot more to it than that and MP certainly deserves some credit. This lot are tight, no doubt about it and are seeing the rewards for the work ethic they put in as a team. This will drip feed into the younger players and the youth set up, so it all bodes well. That said we will lose some of these players and its how we manage and replace them that will be the test,

  24. This is the guy that has worked on all the plans....I think he is a director; So it looks like a car park and whatever is left behind the Milton road (I have no idea) From the club's point of view, it will gain ownership of land to the rear of the Fratton End and behind the North Stand. An access route to the south of the Tesco store (from Sellars ransom strip gates to the alley to Frogmore Rd) will also be in the club's ownership. The land behind the North stand will be opened up to Milton Lane (which will be relocated to the north) and resurfaced and securely fenced as a car park for approx 250 cars. This will tidy up the whole area, give the club it's own car park (it currently rents the space behind the FE) and of course gives scope for the club to build outwards from its current ownership footprint. The sum of money the club will receive can be spent by the club as it wishes, providing it's on the stadium infrastructure. The £450k the Presidents recently invested, means vital ongoing works which would have originally come out of the Tesco 'pot' are now covered, so Tesco money can go fully towards more 'glamorous' longer term rebuilding works such as rebuilding or extending stands The longer term aspiration of the club is to have a capacity of at least 30,000 to make it a viable Prem outfit. Of course where we find ourselves at the moment means we have a capacity that suits our needs so it's not an overly pressing matter, but this Tesco deal is being done now and is not driven by PFC, the club is simply a neighbour to which planning policy says it should benefit. Therefore it brings the issue into the spotlight, but the key aim at this stage is to ensure there's enough room left by this development to expand into in the future and there's the bonus getting land to do that and money to go towards rebuilding. Exactly what the club spends that on is down to the club within reason of it being on the stadium (i.e. not on players etc).
