  1. I don't think we will sell him. If we sold him, he would be replaced by another creative midfielder who would then need time to adjust to our system etc. so it would be another gamble. Few would argue against his quality, which he has shown in fits and starts. This is a test of MP as much as anything, by molding that talent, into his system, whilst keeping him positive and motivated.... Of course that doesn't always work out, but there are real signs it is moving in the right direction. The most frustrating thing about it all, is that an "on form" Gaston, is (And has been all season) the missing link to the jigsaw. However naïve, I am holding out for him to come good and be a big part of this squad.
  2. Derry....not having a pop, but what is your problem with Davis. He is close to being our player of the season, based on the games he has played.
  3. How many goals and how many assists? Sorry but we are way beyond puncheon these days
  4. Yep :) :)
  5. Did McLaren get the sack after we beat them at St Mary's

That's simply not true. Wilde was the Chairman and spent the family silver, sanctioned by the board, on Wildes promise of external investment...... Which, when it didn't materialize, Wilde was forced to step down and Crouch replaced him to clean up the mess. We as fans didn't realise quite how big that mess was at that point. But don't let a lie get in the way of a good story.
  7. He's bold he's fat he's gonna get the sack Atkinson, Atkinson ....And they next day he did, paving the way for Sir Alex
  8. You should be banned from the forum for posting that.

I think most would agree that this doesn't need raking over again, but some of the posters on here have a bizarre grasp of history. The irony (For me) is three fold. 1) Crouch would have never let the club go into administration - As demonstrated by his hand out when he was already gone 2) In my opinion Barclays would never have pulled the plug, had Crouch not been ousted 3) Lowes aggressive EGM threats that got him back him, ultimately killed him and led us to the Marcus The fall from grace was painful (At times soul destroying), but the climb back has been fantastic, possibly the best four years of being a Saints fan in my lifetime and the club is in the best ever shape in every department I have ever known. We slate the skates for saying they wouldn't change a single thing about their downfall because they won the cup, but I don't think I would for Saints (Of course there are differences - not least we paid our creditors) but all in all, the journey has been such a laugh and the brilliant thing is, we aren't at the end. So for an old fart like me, I thank all those that played their part (The good and bad) and just enjoy the football and where we are today.
  11. Totally agree with the sentiment, but would add that he is spectacular in what he does....he does it better than most players in the same role. In the games he has played this season, he has been our MOM (IMHO) the most times....as he was today
  12. Regardless of who you are , any negative results from the tests we do and even if you are felling a bit under the weather.... you don't play. It is a 100% fitness or your not included. This is entirely down to MP (Rightly or wrongly)
  13. Can someone please explain what I have just seen on Sky? Valdemor (Michale Appleton) seems to have got a Hair transplant for Christmas................... Either that or he visited his favorite road kill site that he used, to feed all the players that weren't getting paid and slapped one on his head. I do like late Christmas presents.
  14. True.... but I am not sure Lambert was in any position to make that sort of comment, based on his own performance.
  15. 2013 feels like a good year for Saints. I am sure one of the stattos can put the number of games - wins ./draws and defeats down, but all in all, we stayed up, had a cracking start to the season, got some players into the England team and have beaten Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and a draw at old Trafford. Lets see it out on a winning note.
  16. Stolen from twitter before all you nutjobs think I read the sunday sport.
  17. Sat here with a musllim friend who laughed his head off at your post and respectfully suggests you have no idea what you are talking about and is on hand to answer any questions you might have,
  18. Football myth... he could never have played for England even if he wanted too.
  19. They blame the FA for the FAPPT (Which was never about how much money any owner has) but the irony is that it is down to the FA that they have a chance. If you look at that table and then add the minus 10, I would say they are already down. They think the world is against them, but judges, politicians, creditors and the football association have done nothing but help them and bend over backwards.............yet they still foooook it up.
  20. I'm assuming you mean "Dejan" as that the bit you have changed, but its wrong ....there should be :)
  21. Some sort of genius that has come up with that one
  22. What club have taken the taxman for the most money (Over 60 million) What club suffered the strange phenomenon of "fat" in their water pipes What club saw their 20 stone plus chairman squeeze into a kids size shirt for official photos, Whose 25 years "Footballing experience" saw him value a squad at over 50 million pounds, that was later sold for around 12 million. Which club sends their season tickets out with a bit of "lucky heather" What club designed their "cordless" tracksuit bottoms, to allow easy access for the ladies of Horton heath
  23. From what I can work out, this lad is very poorly although not sure if it is terminal..... But this is what Ajax did for him
  24. I'm not sure when it will all start in earnest, but I fear there will be a few disappointed souls down at the wrong end of the M27. There are many who think Robsinsons cash will fund a new stadium, or they are going to turn the pitch around and redevelop the whole site (Some even suggesting compulsory house purchases) or at the very least rebuild the two main stands........ It could be a decade before they realise the land amounts to a new burger van and a lucky heather stall and the cash might cover the clock repair.
