You need a doctor -
BBC has an article from united saying they will take their time finding a new manager, but will still move forward with transfer targets ahead of new manager coming in
-
Yep he is normally pretty good
-
Do I agree with your opinion that we deliberately have not won matches so as to make sure we don't qualify for Europe..... That will be a "NO" and as posted probably the most stupid thing I have ever read on here. With regard to disappointment - I agree with you (Which troubles me greatly). Those expecting huge amounts to be spent on new players and all the stars of the team and the manager to still be here, will (I think) be disappointed. As for user names, I've only ever been on this forum in the name shown (I'm guessing you misunderstood what I typed, which given the level of stupidity required for your original post, is not earth shatteringly surprising)

Been on this forum in it's different guises for many many years. The competition for stupid posts is never ending and the standard is incredibly high. Congratulations you've just gone straight to the top - Which is an incredible achievement and should not be underestimated.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-27138187 Not sure what it will achieve, but we'll see.

Why? Did you give up your British Passport?

If it is correct then at 100k a week on a five year + 20% of a 30 million signing on fee, he wouldn't give a monkeys who the manger was.
-
Who we were very close to signing, but Utd pipped us to it..... Our scouting team obviously rate him. If he does go to Utd, wouldn't be at all surprised if Buttner was part of the deal
-
If those are the terms on offer - Then it would be stupid for Luke Shaw not to sign for United and stupid of Southampton FC to turn it down.

Massimiliano Allegri 7/2 3 3 7/2 Louis Van Gaal 4 3 3 10/3 Moyes 11/2 4 5 5 Mauricio Pochettino http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/tottenham/next-permanent-manager Mopo = Fourth favourite

As stated above - Because of our dependence and philosophy of the Academy
-
I just don't see it as "quite likely" at all. A big part of the Southampton job, is integrating the youth players..........That is just not moyes.
-
Really looking forward to this one. Huge test against a great team who are playing for something. Let's see what we learnt so far this season

The article itself is pretty much all about the issues and scenarios that the FFP brings to the table, but I don't agree with the conclusion - In fact there is an argument that it would have the opposite impact. With restrictions on what wages and transfer fees could be spent, surely it makes more sense for Clubs (As we have done) to develop and retain their inhouse talent, as opposed to paying huge sums for other players. Additionally Young English players come at a premium, so assuming that the bigger clubs. will be forced to abide by the rules, means they perhaps can not be so gung ho in snapping up "unproven" (In international, European competitions) players. We know are turnover (From the latest set of accounts) and we know our average wage per week, is 23k. From my limited knowledge on the FFP rules and my dubious maths, we are fine (Acknowledging that it is a year out of date and wages will have gone up) so I just can't understand where the need to sell comes from - especially if we were forced to sell our younger (Cheaper wages) players and replace them with expensive foreign replacements. Now that of course doesn't detract from the fact that the bigger clubs will be all over our top talent like a rash and inevitably we will lose a couple, but that has been the case forever and day and has nothing to do with the FFP rules.

Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC (in Creditors Voluntary Liquidation)
Gemmel replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
This is a pure guess...... Part of the terms of liquidation was a 4 million pound payment to Aviva if Saints made it back into the Premier within 5 years and perhaps the company couldn't be formally liquidated until the outstanding debt had been paid Obviously we made it to the prem, but I couldn't find any line item, one off payments or extra ordinary payments of 4 million in the last set of accounts, so may be it hadn't been paid until recently. -
Isn't that at odds with your "yo yo" theory
-
Are you talking about Saints or Norwich
