I tend to work on the principle that if I am perusing a website such as this, then everyone else is entitled to do the same irrespective of their views ! The ignore function IMHO is a total nonsense because if you don't want to read what somebody has written the just don't read it, the name of the poster is in bold letters at the top of their posting so it's hardly difficult to make a judgement on what you select to read ! So, in answer to the OP's question, yes people do need to lighten up a bit !!

I do not know the exact origin, but suppose that it is a play on words incorporating 'few' as in not many and 'phew' as in smelly ! Whatever, it seems to apply to them and is quite appropriate ! If this thread were to continue for a couple of years then it may even make the Oxford dictionary as a new word !!
