As an 'old fart' with limited online skills I anticipated all manner of problems with the application (I read this thread before I embarked on the actual mission!) but to my astonishment it worked 1st time with zero hiccups and I got the confirmation immediately (admittedly to my junk folder!). Either I am much brainier than I thought or some of you lot are fecking useless :)

I have to agree with all that you say Adrian, there really are some serious flaws in our admin/liquidation/bankruptcy laws and it is quite sickening to witness ! On the plus side, the return of Chinny and his sidekick AA will afford us all many more reasons to gloat over the ongoing shenanigans at the circus down the road ! This is definitely one of these situations where it would be fair to the paying public if the referee was to justify his decision afterwards ! Things like 'offside', 'ball over the line', 'flying elbows', 'shirt pulling' etc, etc.. can be put down to human error/personal opinion but in this case he saw the foul, gave the foul, knew the whole situation but mysteriously never produced a card ! If he were to give a reason or even apologise (it occasionally does happen, ie. Atkinson in the Chelsea v Spurs game!) then there would be some sort of closure ! In the meantime, any sane person who witnessed this (either live or on the telly!) assumes him to be a bottler or even a cheating b.astard !!!!

Was in a bar, bollocking a Brighton supporting friend of mine today about their capitulation v the Hammers when an old lad, whom I've known for years, stumbled into the conversation and announced that he had been a Saints fan all his life (born in Bournemouth) ! I had no idea that he had even the slightest interest in football but he went on to regale us with stories going back to the fifties ! Funny old game, thank feck he wasn't a Skate !!
