Pretty much my view as well, I implied in the OP that Kelv needed competition rather than being replaced outright, hence the suggestion of signing McGregor ! To survive in the Premier league you really do need 2 top keepers and right now we only have (arguably) one ! As someone already stated, you cannot afford to let your heart rule your brain, so some forward planning may well be in order !

Watched the Old Firm match today and was very impressed (again!) with Alan McGregor ! Made me think about next season and the role that Kelvin Davis will play ? Like most, I love the guy for his character and loyalty but reckon that next season (Premier league or not!) we need to strengthen this position ! Bart does not inspire me, so we need someone new in addition to Kelv ! No point in buying a backup, so a top keeper (like McGregor) vying for the jersey makes sense to me ! Right now Rangers are in the poo and we are flying high, could be a good time to make a move, no ??

They really do miss this guy, ticketing allocations seemed much more logical in his day and when there was a problem it was sorted in an efficient and pleasant way ! Looking back, there were many posters on here who wrote him off before he even kicked a ball because he wasn't a first team regular and played in a sh#tty league ! I really hope that in future our signings are given positive support from the start and allowed to prove themselves on the pitch rather than being prejudged by their history ! I love his relaxed, positive attitude - it confirms to me that the spirit is strong within the camp and bodes well for the run in !!! COYS

I see that the 'Beastie Boys' have hijacked yet another thread ! Having been away, I just read about Nick Harvey and checked on here to see how he was. All I discovered was that Turkish and Alpine are still into online provocation and antagonism , very sad but no surprise ! Ah well, hope that Nick Harvey is having the stitches out soon !!
