Have been Eurosaint throughout the UI and Saints4ever days ! Was living in Belgium at the time and Euro just seemed to fit ! So many people since have assumed that I had something to do with the Commission, the Parliament or even was a big supporter of the Euro, none of which was the case ! BTW, whatever happened to Bent_Eric ? One of the funniest guys and great with the (non trolling)! banter which was the norm at the time !!

As far as the football is concerned they are well and truly f^cked ! To lose at home to the whipping boys of the league is as bad as it gets, most of the rats have now deserted the sinking ship and all they can do now is play some waifs and strays ! The court case and the drawn out PDT fiasco remains in the balance but I would think that even Old Nick must be considering that they are 'not getting away with it' ! MLT has famously said "Mr Cortese is not a very nice human being" and to be honest, I think his recent behaviour makes this statement difficult to argue with ! If he had humiliated one of my mates for using my season ticket then I would have been furious as well, not because according to the small print he was within his rights, but because it was petty and spiteful ! The same goes for 'airbrushing' Nigel from the programme, banning media from talking to fans, banning the Echo etc, etc... Hooiveld and Yoshida helped to keep a clean sheet last night against a high flying Everton team, Fonte has shown real quality lately too, so when you add Forren into the equation we are much better off than the earlier part of the season ! I think that between them we are now pretty well covered and to add anyone else at this stage might rock the boat a bit, best to stick with it and hope for the best IMO !!

I think that the Don normally bungs in a bit extra to buy their silence ??

Assuming that you are being serious, I'll bite ! Whenever any 'fan' is approached by the media for his opinion, somebody on this website spouts off about him 'not representing me' etc, etc.. Can you not accept that reporters are not able to speak to everybody and will pick out someone who has a connection to a supporters group (or similar!) and listen to their opinion ? If Steve had said anything arrogant or outrageous, then perhaps you would have a point to make but he didn't so there is no issue whatsoever !

Looks to me like he has started the 'softening up' process for the natives ! It's possible that he has heard something negative about the bid and is beginning to backtrack, just seems a bit strange that out of the blue he is now actually using the 'L' word !

Thanks for everything Nigel, you leave here with your head held high and your dignity intact, it's such a pity that I can't say the same for the guy that sacked you ! I wish you well in whatever job you have in the future and assure you of a warm welcome should you return to see us again !

Abramovich has money but no class and I'm afraid that our chairman has just displayed exactly the same trait ! Loyalty, integrity and even common courtesy have been chucked out of the window today ! The sacking is bad enough but the lack of a proper explanation as to why is an insult to the clubs followers, merely to state that 'there was a need for change to move forward' is simply not good enough ! If no respect is shown to the fans, then it will not be reciprocated and this is surely an unhealthy situation ! Inevitably the furore will die down but I, for one, will not forget the damage done to the heart and soul of a 127 year old institution !

I am baffled and deeply saddened by today's events ! Many thanks Nigel for all that you have done for us and I truly wish you well for the future ! I know nothing about the new man and am disappointed to hear that he does not speak English because it will need a lot of words of comfort and encouragement for players and supporters alike in the coming few weeks ! With Everton, Man U, Wigan and Man City in the next 4 games, he will be very lucky to get any/many points and the natives will very quickly become restless so there will be no honeymoon period ! I am very seldom downbeat about the Saints and favour long term stability over constant change but this decision really makes me wonder why people in football behave the way they do ??
