I think that you have been pretty realistic, sure some be be a bit more, some a bit less but your bottom line looks about right to me !

TBF these groups have been at each others throats for centuries, the tribal culture in the middle east is the main reason why it will (at least in my lifetime!) always be a hotbed of hatred and violence ! Add in the undemocratic nature of most (maybe even all?) of their governments and it's easy to see why it's a volatile, unpredictable and often dangerous part of the world ! I have travelled extensively but mostly flew over the middle east, I reckon that this is good advice for most of us !!

As a Saints fan I enjoy going to matches and supporting my team ! With the expectation that 17th would be achieved with great difficulty, I have been encouraged by many of the performances under both managers so far ! We have chucked points away by making elementary, individual mistakes too often but the quality of play has generally been very good ! Pochettino clearly believes in style and panache and I think that given time to adapt to a new situation he might well prove a shrewd appointment (I was unimpressed when NA was sacked!).

Next two games are Man U and Arsenal, both away, so whoever takes over has a job on his hands even before they play us in 3 weeks time !!

I met Tony on a few occasions (my daughter was his daughter Libby's best friend at school!) and he was a good lad ! Easy to speak to, loved his football and many other sports ! RIP

I find it hard to believe that they have gotten an extra £4 million in PP's ! If they had, then surely there would be an outcry from other clubs in their league and also that the PFA would refuse to further reduce the outstanding payments to their members ? If you really want to witness 'pillock mentality' - follow the match day thread when we are losing ! It truly is a non-joy to behold ! "Too good to go down" is a nonsense expression ! Generally speaking, teams that play better football will get better results over a season, however, three teams will be relegated come what may and they will be less good than the others ! Effective football comes in different guises, some (WHU, Stoke?) play direct, others (Swansea, WBA ?) a neat passing game, but eventually those who are least effective will go down ! Not rocket science !!

I'd be supporting my team like I always do, then again I'm not a keyboard warrior who can only sit on his arse and criticise every time something goes against us ! We'll have ups and downs, that's the way it is but I prefer to get behind the team especially when they need it most !

Am normally at the matches so don't have to follow this thread and thank God for that ! Such a load of whingers, we will lose some and win some but you lot are the fecking pits, you don't deserve a team to support !!
